Thank you Dan for sharing this with us. One of the reasons why I follow your content is because you are honest. Stay safe and know that you have support around you. You have the right to put up boundaries around your personal life. People should really respect that. Just because you share your life it doesn't mean that you have to share everything. Take care!

I completely agree with this comment and feel the same. Keep taking care of you in every way! Do what's best for you, whether continuing with the channel or not. You deserve to live life the way that brings you happiness 🥰 I wish you all the best in whatever you do, but especially in life in general. 🙏🏾💜
And I'm very, very sorry for your losses. In due time, I hope you'll br able to walk with your grief rather than live in it. As someone who's suffered several close losses in the last 6 yrs, this is what I learned for myself. I truly hope this for you as well. 💜

Dan... Thank you for being strong enough to be open about your sadness/depression regarding your friend's passing. I am so sorry you had to experience this, as I know (only from my experience and point of view of losing friends/family) how difficult this is. I am and you should be, so proud of yourself for taking the time to process these types of losses, and knowing that only you know how you feel and how long it takes for you to go through the process. I am also extremely impressed that regarding certain "very personal" questions that have been asked of you, you took the stand to not provide any details and in fact indicate asking them was rude. I wholeheartedly agree with you. Although I subscribe to your channel and enjoy your videos, I do understand that doing so does not give me the right to ask or even still expect you to respond to such questions. So thank you for having limits of what you share with your audience. Continue to live your life on your terms, travel, laugh often and love wholeheartedly, capture moments in your mind as memories, take plenty of photos and videos. Please remember, even though you may always have moments where you an say I wish I had of kept in touch more, etc, know we all feel that way at times and you are doing your best each day...and that is the best any of us can do. Take care of yourself. I hope these words from a grandmother who has travelled around the sun almost 65 times (and counting lol) will bring you some comfort. Stay safe and healthy and remember to be kind to yourself.🤗

What a truly touching message! I'm sorry for your loss, Dan. It definitely takes time to adjust to these losses and get back to the stage when we are ready to move forward with the loss. Bed talks can wait. As fans and supporters, we always want you to do what makes you feel comfortable and happy. Finally, the age reveal has taken place, but to us, you will always be forever 21. I love and admire the sincerity and honesty in your videos. And also your personal stance. We should always do that unapologetically. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Please keep these videos coming whenever you get time because we eagerly wait for them. Wishing you a great 2024 with memories to remember and good things to look forward to.

It's okay to not be okay. It's okay to cry, be mad, and laugh when we're grieving. It's okay to hide what you're feeling. It doesn't matter WHO, WHAT, WHEN, HOW OR WHY we feel. We all handle emotions differently. And to hear someone say to GET OVER IT, SNAP OUT OF IT, TIME HEALS All WOUNDS. People want to help and want to understand, but unless you go through what others have gone through, they just don't know.

    Hi Dan,
I’m just here to thank you for trusting us enough with the update.
You seem very lovely and down-to-earth to me so far, from what I’ve seen of you.
I have lost my dad just recently this year so I’m not okay yet and based on what you said I also believe I’m the same age as you or very very close to it.
It was nice to see you having set up boundaries for your fans as i believe it will help your mental health.
It’s also lovely to see you slowly healing from your traumas. I wish you all the best and to continue to never feel pressured to do or share more than you want to or sooner than when you are ready.
Real supporters and followers appreciate all you do and wish you nothing but the best in life. Keep your chin up high!
    xx

Thanks for sharing especially the fact that you have felt depressed. As someone who has experienced depression one of the first steps to coping is actually admitting you are depressed. All the positive comments that have been posted I hope will help you feel supported. As a lady in her late 60’s I too have taken the opportunity to travel. Currently planning my 4th trip to South Korea! I am still only 21 in my head!!! You share so much of your life and feelings on line which is absolutely amazing but quite rightly you need to draw a line as to how much you reveal and people should respect your privacy.
I love all your posts . Hoping to make it to your bar/restaurant this year. Live a happy and fulfilled life

Things that you mentioned: income, relationships is super private/confidential...do not understand people's obsession to want to know everything about a person!
      You are great.

I'm very sorry for your loss. When people leave, we ask ourselves who we are, where we come from and where we will go again. We miss people sorely and experience different phases of grief and there comes a time when we really try hard to recall the images of people in our heads because they gradually fade. After a certain time we remember the beautiful things in life that we had with this person. We then become aware of what is really important in life and we should live how we want. All the best to you

Just watched your Paris trip, which I enjoyed very much and I wanted to check out your other vlogs. I like that you set clear boundaries and that they are shared. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out to the universe.
So many of your followers have posted great comments of support, so I just wanted to add a couple of things to think about. When we are young, we think we are invincible. We are not. So when we lose that first close friend at a young age, it really is hard to process. I lost a friend to suicide at age 14 many years ago. We had no idea. Seek help by talking it out with a friend, an acquaintance you trust or better yet, a professional. It is not unmanly or cowardly to seek grief counseling to help you process your grief and use the tools available to help you get back to functioning normally. You won’t forget your friend, but you will be able to “swim” when those waves of grief come out of nowhere. And second, take the time to tell the people you love, that you love them. It doesn’t matter how you do it, send a text or email, give them a call/video chat, just pop in, offer to run an errand, use your imagination….Don’t let “life” get in the way of what is really important.

Having lost my fair share of friends and family. The best thing to do is grieve, accept and move on.
Can I always do This successfully? No, But there is nothing we can do with feeling sick, Depressed and down which I have done several times. All we do is make ourselves miserable mentally and physically sick. You know that they are with us in spirit. Same thing with having hard difficult or depressing times snap out of it. Change your focus listen to positive self talk everyday every night, keep your mind on a clear, happy path

Hello Danny, happy new year to you too🥳🥂wishing you the best in 2024. I am so glad that you are doing much better, just keep in mind is ok to be not ok😜. Life is a 🎢 , the important thing is get up and keep on living. Let’s live the present, with no regrets. Yesterday is gone, and the future never comes. With age comes lots of reflections, and to prioritize what matters in that moment. Thank you for your open heart and candid vlog. It’s ok to not have a bed talk. Some people may take advantage of the vulnerability of some persons. It’s really a shame 😔 You know what? I am glad that you took an impulsive trip to France. Sometimes, it’s fun not to plan too much, and take risks🤗 Je suis très fière de vous😊 believe it or not, your trip helped in a certain degree for my upcoming trip to France this summer. For that , I am very grateful. I’m glad that you really did not say how old are you. I’m good at guessing, I knew you were in your thirties, but that’s it. I would like to keep that bit of a mystery. I will not search for your real age😝 what counts is that we all are young at heart, not in a chronological sense. Blessed to all the people of a certain age that keep the kid inside to have fun in life😇. I enjoy your blog so much, I find some similarities with my life; nonetheless, it’s like parallel lines that will never intersect, just run in the same direction. Of course , I am not a vloger, nor a content creator, that is a huge difference.😜this blog was different from the one you made 2 years ago. Wow time flies, and I’m loving what you are doing now in terms of inspirational👍💖thanks a million for answering the questions, you are so cute☺️. When you are ready , you will be ready to share more😎I just wish you the best for the new endeavors in your life, many blessing to you and your family🙏💯🫶😘

I just came across your content, and this was a very heartwarming first video to watch. Social media is usually just all the goods and extravagant things in life. Some don't share what they're going through behind closed doors or their true selves, and I truly do respect their decisions to do so, so I dont expect someone to show me everything.. and I believe that when someone is ready to share something with their friends or family or viewers, they will do so on their own terms. But it is very heartwarming when one is comfortable enough to open up and talk about their feelings, their struggles, their values, anything that is personal, because I find that it's a way of connecting with those who you appreciate, and those who appreciate you, and it's a good reminder that we are all humans and are all going through one thing or another, regardless of what is being shared online. Thank you for sharing a bit about yourself, your mannerism, your respect for others, and your values are very admirable.

It was very brave of you to open up and tell us all I’m about your experiences. I find you a very brave person because you do not give up. It’s true the journey of 1000 miles begins with that first step

Sorry for what happened to you last year! Everything that happened to you and what you felt denotes that you are a human being experiencing the unfortunate downs that life puts in our path! Very happy to hear you overcame those hard moments and from then on trying to live to your fullest extent! Though I am not young, I share the same thought about asking questions that exceed what politeness is! Thank you for sharing your thoughts, your experiences and your hopes! Your life! I won't presume anything, only wish you the best and ask God to bless you always!

It's so good to hear that you're taking care of your mental health and thanks for your courage to share this part with us, because being silence in such topic doesn't make the problem desapeard and we should (if we are able to) speak up about it. Taking time for yourself to heal is also very important. I hope you will live your life to the fullest and you will share your positive wibe with others

It's really good to hear from you...abt your wine bar (not enough, though)😉, your travels (or break from), you with your friends, etc.
Sry for your losses. I sympathize (and maybe even empathize). My lawyer died, recently, and none of my family or friends (in NYC) even told me. I had to find out by watching the danged GRAMMYS! I was shocked, hurt and disgusted, bc he was not only a lawyer who really looked out for me, but also a real friend...so I sympa/empathize very easily with the losses of others.......
I hope your 2024 is hundreds time better than 2023, in EVERY way.

When you talk to us like this I am touched by your wisdom and willingness to say it like it is. I find myself nodding in agreement. Thank you for sharing what you do and thank you for respecting yourself and not sharing those things that are not our business. You make me stop and think about what you are saying and it often makes me get in touch with my inner self. Wishing you a much better year ahead doing whatever your heart desires.

First: You are not old! 🙃
And then I'm sorry for your loss. Last year I also lost a very good friend who unfortunately lived a little further away but was close to my heart. Unfortunately, it happened too unexpectedly quickly. The worst thing for me was that I couldn't say goodbye.
Dealing with grief is such a slow process. But you seem to be on the right path and only you know what it should look like. How you do it is right.
I wish you many positive thoughts.
And if you take a step back... then there will always be a new day.

I’m so sorry about your loss and I know how you feel because I lost someone dear to me last year, it’s hard but it gets better over time. We have to keep pushing forward. Being sad, happy depressed is part of life and we need to manage it individually at our own pace. My motto is be fearless and live the life you are destined for so you are doing great and keep going. I’m much older than you and I’m 21 forever. You much younger than you look. You don’t have to tell us anything that you don’t want to say. It’s unfortunate that some people don’t have respect for themselves first and others to be asking personal questions like that. They need to know there is something called boundaries and not to cross that line. Thank you for keeping it real. I really enjoy your frankness. Wishing you new beginnings and blessings for 2024.

Dan First of all thank you very much for revealing your life and it is true that there are stages in life where we go through a faster maturation process especially when we lose people who are important to us and this brings new insights. Obviously you have to take care of yourself and the right to privacy and security is fundamental. I wish you that the year of the dragon will be a healing and successful year for you. You know the world belongs to the brave who live life to the fullest. I wish you good health and fulfillment.

I always enjoy your videos, I get to see places I may never see.
I enjoy these videos too, it’s nice to learn a little of the people you spend time watching.
What I see or what I’m learning is you are a genuinely nice person and you consider how others around you feel.
I’ve been through really difficult things in life, and I’ve learned that we are deal with things differently but the key to getting through is acceptance and talking about our difficulties when we are ready. I process things pretty fast, but feel things sometimes for a long time. You’re doing Ok Dan, being able to talk about things helps you heal, and some people are never able to that.
Even in my society asking someone how much money they make is rude, I guess there will always be those people who are ignorant or just rude as stated.
Its very pleasing to know that you work hard to support yourself and make good financial decisions, so many people here are becoming homeless because they lived beyond their means and when hard times came they couldn’t over come or keep up with their debts.
I never ask personal questions, I feel like people share what they want when they want, and I’m ok with that. And making assumptions is not smart.
Thanks for the video, I’m glad you’re feeling a little better. I look forward to future videos. Have a lovely time until them 😁.

Grieving is a process, I’m glad you were able to take your time getting through it and learning about what is important in your life. I felt totally identified in this video, especially with the last minute trip. I completely did the same and bought two trips in the upcoming months, one to Korea and one to go to Australia. Also, I totally agree with you on people prying or inserting their opinions or perceptions and wanting to define anything about other people’s lives.
Loved the video, idk how or why I got to it but will definitely check out your other videos.

Thanks Dan. I know how you feel about losing a close friend. Sorry to learn of your sadness. I am of an age where loss seems far too frequent. One of my friends no longer with me told she was going to live the rest of her life 'Like my hair is on fire!' We laughed so much about all sorts of stuff and it's a great memory. Hope you also have good things to remember.
Most of us appreciate and value what you share with us and respect that there are limits to what may be asked.
I enjoyed your Bed Talks series and hope at some point you feel it OK to do some more. Likewise your travels - really enjoy those posts so more please when you can.

Sending you a gentle hug and wishes to keep healing, growing, and following your heart.

I'm so sorry you had to go through the devastation of losing people you love. I love your bed talk. Your voice is soft and soothing to listen to late at night. I think it's funny that you apologize for things you have no control over. (sun going in and out) because I do the same thing. I believe people ask personal questions because you are a personable person (oh yeah, I tend to make excuses as to why people do or say the things they say and do, I know it's assuming just giving a different perspective). I want to thank you for taking me on your virtual trips. I enjoy learning about South Korea and I also want to thank you for sharing a part of yourself with us. 💞❤💞

You have my respect and admiration for sharing such a very personal and vulnerable video with us, Danny. 🤗You`re a remarkable person who has been through a lot and has still kept your smile and kindness and positivity in life and I´m so glad for you for that! 🙌🙌😊Thank you also for staying so open and wanting to share parts of your life in a transparent and genuine way with others 🙏, and boundaries are truly very important for one's well-being. It`s not only very understandable that you put them in place but an absolute must to do so in Social Media or Cyberspace in general! It`s too big of a risk to become a successful target of ill-minded individuals without proper precautions, safety measures, and boundaries.
13:04: I can see a whole story in this facial expression! 😉😅
I appreciate you Danny and I`m very much looking forward to keep seeing you grow and thrive in 2024, wherever it may lead you! 🫶😊

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.. I wish there was a way to sit down and just chat about opinions, points of views ect you have a real good head on your shoulders!!! I am very sorry for your losses.. I wish I could say it’ll get easier.. but it gets only different. Esp when we lose them so young! But it will be less painful and more grateful about the memories we did have with them.. even if they will cause a tear or two at times. So cyber hugs for you!! And don’t be afraid to call up one of your friends and say I need a hug.. that’s ok too.. but I’m sure you know!
I agree and do think it’s rude to ask or demand even answers about relationships as well as income.. that’s personal and no one has “the right “ to know! So kudos for standing up for your self! Love the way you put ppl in place in a decent and respectful way!!

Hi, I randomly stumbled across your channel. Sorry about your loss - that's really sad to hear. The healing process takes time so don't stress too much about it. Stay busy and enjoy your life. Also, 30s isn't old. You seem like an all-around good dude with a young mind. Stay strong :)

  • @Krystal109

We all grieve in our own ways - some people are extremely open and expressive while others internalize the loss. I got a lot of comments from family about how I wasn't sobbing and didn't appear to miss my father after he passed, but that's just how I grieve... I also had so much on my plate at the time that I didn't have time to wallow in depression - it took me nearly two years to handle his estate before I felt I could really take the time to grieve "properly".
The way we handle someone's passing can really change us and for a lot of people it can make us realize how precious the time we have with loved ones is.
