Last year, I got to try on hanbok for the first time, and I loved it. I’ve always loved traditional clothing from different countries.
I tried makgeolli recently. It’s nice, but my drink of choice is soju 😋

Wahhh! The hanok is so beautiful. I've done a hanok stay with my son in Jeonju and Gyeongju but never thought of doing one in Seoul. Maybe need to check that for our next trip in Korea. Thanks for this video!

I like the small valleys, they look historical and I like haunted places, so it will be a perfect place for me to visit 😅
It reminds me of a wellness stay where you'll spend time with yourself and put all your everyday stress away for a moment 😊

Sometimes we get surprised of the things we didn't know about even in areas we are used to! it sure was a big key haha but I think the hotel was safe enough to not lock it haha

I walked around that entire neighborhood when I was there and I visited the palace. What a beautiful place! You can see mountains in the background. I was there on a Saturday and it was busy but fun seeing all the kids wearing hanbok too.

Thank you for making it and I`m glad you had much fun. :) I giggled all through watching, one of my favorites is the awe/excitement you have when you see new pretty things (or when you get an idea about something), if I were there we wouldn`t know which one of us is more excited/enthusiastic because I`m totally the same! 😜😂And I would also enjoy exploring the small alleys to see where they might lead or what gem you can find there. 😄I love the modern/traditional mix that the Hanok has, the day view there is top but the night view is divine, you were really lucky to have such perfect weather. 👍😊The black scarf thing with your shirt, I can see now what you meant. 😅But 🤔.....I think I like how it looks more when it`s left open. 😅

I only stayed in a regular / semi-budget hotel last time I came to Korea, but I would love to stay in a Hanok next time. The views from this one were so pretty. Love all the recent vlog style videos.

Wow! What an amazing place. Definitely considering staying there if ever I go to Korea with my husband. In Japan, we also stayed at ryokans every time there was an opportunity or option to. I stayed in a hotel when I visited Seoul by myself the last time. Thanks for showing us the place.

If I ever travel to S.Korea I wanna see the cherry blossom trees , the Han River , some traditional temples and go to Busan , visit Magnate Cafe (Jimin's father) and Jeju island 🎉🎉Since I live on a Greek island I need to see and feel sea close to me.I wouldn't spend over 2 days in Seoul a bit chaotic, don't really like satuared places .Great tour Thank you Dan ❤love from Greece 🇬🇷 ❤

Hi, I forgot where to write to you. I watched Dan's previous video, and everyone was saying condolences for his dead friend and it saddened me so much, although I'm still offended at him for taking the little heart out of my message but that's nonsense, problems in life are well others, we too lost a friend on December 24th, who committed suicide by throwing herself from the window of her house, and the bad thing is that we will never know why, what we didn't understand, it's very sad, and I'm so sorry also for Dan.
@@mariavogiatzidaki2998 Barbara had bronchitis, and was in intensive care, now she is better and back in the ward, unfortunately she often has violent seizures, some with cardiac arrest but luckily the doctors are always there with her and they revive her immediately, I went out recently from the hospital, I was hospitalized but now I'm recovering, I'm better, and how are you, and your mom, I hope all is well.
@@mariavogiatzidaki2998 Oh my God what happened to your son I worry a lot when something happens to children or teenagers, I passed out at home and when I fell I hit my head on a cabinet they found me my sister and a friend of mine they called the ambulance and I was hospitalized for a week, bad iron deficiency anemia, I was eating little, sleeping little, working a lot and then since our friend died I can't sleep anymore, I always dream about her...

Thank you for sharing this amazing place... exactly where I'd love to stay if I ever get to Korea! But from looking at your other hotel stays, this must be expensive too, and do they speak English at all? Would I be able to opt for continental breakfast at these places? I like Korean food, but only those that are not too spicy.
I think they have English speaking staff and yes you can choose continental breakfast. Usually, even the Korean breakfasts won't be spicy since it's the morning :) yes this place is a little pricy but I will be posting more affordable places this year :)

Otherwise, I had planned to go for the usual international chains that you can feel safe in knowing that at least a few can speak English, and you'd roughly know what to expect, although these places tend to be business-like, with hardly any ambience.

I’m planning a Seoul trip this summer. I don’t speak Korean so will that be too difficult for me to navigate if I were to go around on my own, and is Seoul safe enough for that?
You don’t need to know any Korean in Seoul specifically…I was there last November for 2 weeks and I was spoken English to before I could say anything. I learned basic Korean and wanted to speak Korean so badly that I would hurry and say 안녕하세요 (hello) before they could say hello first and watch their faces beam with pride. It does help to be familiar with some traditional politeness like nodding to say hello (without speaking) bowing and saying 감사합니다 (thank you) and accepting items with both hands. I was able to buy things from people who didn’t speak English because as humans we do just fine defaulting to non verbal communication using our hands 😂 But actually hello, thank you, and general politeness is all you need. Have FUN!
