Absolutely STUNNING! great demonstration from a great and talented guy!! was gonna get the Kerweill PC3 88 but this guys sold me this!! more plz could watch you all NIGHT!! :)
@homebwioi MOX is an economic version of Motif, so there are only two versions of 61 and 88 keys. For example: MOX8 is priced at $1500, whereas the Motif XF8 $3500 If you want a 76-key version you have to buy the Motif XF7 at a price of $3100
Omg thank you for this video!! I’ve been combing through the Manual to no avail!! I only wish you had print outs of your step by step because I’d love to see on paper what you are saying super fast.
So you need an XLR to 1/4" to connect the mic? Cool. What sampling rate? 16-bit or 24-bit? Maybe I can get rid of my Focusrite Scarlett? Not likely, but the audio interface in the Yamaha keyboards is a great feature.
On the contrary! I don't know about the Roland products(never been a fan), but I've been using Korg touch screen keyboards for years(Triton, Triton Extreme, currently M3 and I'm giving serious thought to a Kronos) I have never had a minutes worth of problems. I'd love to see a touch screen on some Yamaha products.
Fun guy... But I was actualy wondering, can the vocoder be more realistic? Like the vocal harmony effect on the PSR-S910 or the new PSR-S950 for example?
@turri30 Maybe not for the synths, but Yamaha introduced touch screens in their Electronic Organs long ago. I'm using them for my diploma exam and live performances and I find myself utilizing the touch screens very little, still used to analog controls. Haven't live keyboardists been playing all along without touch screens? I mean, we haven't exactly degraded to a level where we can't play without that kind of technology. Besides, what matters for any musical instrument is the sound right?
@turri30 A touch screen would be a nice feature, but without many multiple menus nested within each other, how would you easily find many of the functions that are right in front of you on the separate buttons.
The Vocoder rules indeed! (and Bert as always hehehe!!!) On the other hand, hellooooooooooo Yamaha knock knock... is anyone home??? Take a look at the competition!!! It's such a shame for the year 2011 to push these damn buttons... Next time don't forget to add a B I G C O L O R T O U C H S C R E E N OOOOOKAY ????? Thank you.
Question: i got the Yamaha PSR 9000 Pro! There i have a vocoder too. I can switch beetween men, women, 2 or 3 voices and its sounds good. By the mox, do i have this voices too?
Don't get me wrong, I am a yamaha freak, but isn't yamaha the only company out there who hasn't yet made a keyboard with a touchscreen? Their sounds are beasts, but touchscreens can make things a little easier. Love this keyboard but the screen isn't working for me. Why not a screen at least like the XS? Or would that have made it cost too much?
I can't figure out how to work the effects. I tried switching every thing I could and the voice is the same. What the hell am I doing wrong please help.
phsycopiano How do you like the MOX? I'm a little fed-up with it... To many hidden options that take to long to remember how to get back to. I tried to go USB with Cubase.. Even that is a big in PAIN THE ASS!
Still haven't really messed with it. I know where the instruments are and the effects and that's pritty much it. Don't have the patients to read the Manuel 1000 times to know this thing inside and out just the basic basic.
@MFPalubaJr I have a MO6 and definitely you would really like this thing, but I suggest you just choose the MOX, just the same thing with MO but of course MOXs have better and improved voices and performances. M50's piano voice is really disappointing.
Atypical Lavender I tried a few times but I noticed that the same sound never comes back 100% I'm not sure about this keyboard anymore. Seems to be more of a Bell and whistles to make it attractive and sell. But I might just go and return / swap for something a little more user friendly.

He is right heavy accent and articulations of excitements while up-selling is annoying I wish someone at Yamaha had a clear calm plain English tutorial in detail explanation of this unit without the freaking total nonsense every clown who demonstrates this unit engages especially with the broken English crap - outrageous
You must be 15 year old Justin Bieber fan. Touch screens suck totally. Why? For instance, blind people can be very good musicians, and they have no problem with buttons, but big problem with touch screen.
What the hell.I try to have effects from external sounds via MOX-6 but cant find out how. It comes thru dry. Before i had hat working. And to sort that ut in the manual, its like they dont expect people to want this cos its like finding a needle in a haystack. Btw the MOX6 DRUMS MUST BE THE BEST ONE CAN FIND. IN THIS WORLD. But i dont have time to figure out that. The effects. Annoying.
wonderful music and video! My respect! Many greetings Peter (Bandleader / Composer Blue Light Orchestra)
Absolutely STUNNING! great demonstration from a great and talented guy!! was gonna get the Kerweill PC3 88 but this guys sold me this!! more plz could watch you all NIGHT!! :)
Yamaha is lucky to have you demonstrating their Keyboards Great job!!
Great, but how can I control the volume of different voices in performance. This will be very helpful

Nice and straightforward thanks

so funny Dutch guy and nice demo performer !

I love this guy
Is the Vocoder effect limited to the existing Vocoder voices, or can you add the Vocoder effect to other voices? Thanks
do you plug the mic into the L or R input jack? Wouldn't that mean your voice will only come out of one of the speakers and not the other? hmm
Fun guy... But I was actualy wondering, can the vocoder be more realistic? Like the vocal harmony effect on the PSR-S910 or the new PSR-S950 for example?
Where can I download more vocoder voices? The 5 voices they do give you are all basically the same thing.
and that is realy cool!!!
"thats a very strong point"

Bert is amazing.
vocoder is relly funny and cool
@turri30

@homebwioi another option is the model S70 XS at $2300

go for kronos in my opinion..MOX, XF, XS are all similar to each other in terms of sound and effects such as vocoder :)
Want to buy moxf8 with vocoder
where did you get your keyboard STAND?
Thanks
Music store, you're welcome.
can be the effect set separately for the keyboard and for the aux input? ty
are all effects available for the audio input ? or just limited set of effects?
indeed. I want moX7.
there is only a 6 and 8
MOX or Korg M50 ? or the old Yamaha MO6/8 ??
**smile** @ 2:49 "Shaaooo"
And THAT.....is really cool. lol
some one told me that this guy is finnish ;) are you finish yamaha guy? :D
hahah "don't worry, I'm not going to sing"
Don't get me wrong, I am a yamaha freak, but isn't yamaha the only company out there who hasn't yet made a keyboard with a touchscreen? this works for mox8 keyboard synth workstation
Yea he’s demonstrating on a 6 the only difference between the 6 and 8 is number or keys mox6:61 Mox8:88
I can't figure out how to work the effects. I tried switching every thing I could and the voice is the same. What the hell am I doing wrong please help.
Did you try playing the key's and singing on top??
Oh ya, I figured it out.
phsycopiano

Same here.. I think I'm going to swap it for something else..
The dude sounds dutch :P is he?

I tried the vocoder.. It's not that great because basically that's the only sound you get.
I think the machine is only good for the inventor. He knows where everything is LOL I write everything down because the settings I use are to far in.
Atypical Lavender I tried a few times but I noticed that the same sound never comes back 100% I'm not sure about this keyboard anymore. Seems to be more of a Bell and whistles to make it attractive and sell. But I might just go and return / swap for something a little more user friendly.
roland xp80 for the win
why they don't have the moX 7 version sorry but that is disapointing

@Farfaga4 So, the Korg m50 is not affordable and light... Cheap excuses...
Dark Vader's voice???...
I only heard the demo of the mouth not the keyboard.
😅😅😅

Big colour touch screens are expensive and would put the price up
Less talking and more demonstration and quick walk through.
Touchscreen sucks! My friend's Roland G70 has been a nightmare to use because of crappy implemented touch screen.
