I just wanted to say I found this video extremely helpful. When I reach toussaint after finishing up the main story quests in novigrad I’m definitely getting these diagrams and hopefully craft the armour. Thank you very much for this video 😁
The proper use of this armor is NEVER TAKE A DECOCTION AGAIN. For some reason decoctions count as a different type of tox then regular potions. Now the only reason that matters at ALL is simple, the delayed recovery perk. With delayed recovery potions dont wear off till your tox drops below 55%. Pair that with the euphoria mutation and you can boost your sighn intensity and melee damage to insain lvls (200%+) while being under the effects of literally EVERY potion at once. Now back to decoctions, for some reason they register differently then regular potion toxicity so what this means is that if you take even one decoction the % of your tox that is taken up by that differently colored green isn't counted by delayed recovery, why that matters is that instead of your potions not wearing off till 55% or lower they can wear off at around 70% instead. And i dont care swallow and blizzard alone never wearing off like EVER is way more potent then ANY decoction, nvm mind your also stacking in every other effect. So in short if even one decoction can fuck with that they aint worth it. This sets god teir if you remember that. So since this just dropped as this months ps+ free game anyone picking this gem of a game up for the first time, hopefully this old witchers advice helps and good luck on the path.

This set is great well the chest piece and the boots are combined with two different armour pieces and the right alchemy perks melee perks and general perks like school of the cat technique perk combined with euphoria and the added 4 extra slots with the right weapons positions and decoctions you become so powerful even to enemies 10-15 times your level I’m doing about 20K damage regularly and even over 100K at times

My personal favorites are Ursine and Cat. In NG+ all Witcher gear sets are called 'Legendary'. So Mastercrafted will be Legendary Mastercrafted. Hope that helps 🍻

Attack Power directly co-relates with damage output, so prioritise that. However, having some additional Armor Piercing is also a wise idea as most enemies will have some form of armor rating. Just dont prioritise it over damage/power. Hope that helps 👍

The Manticore only comes in Grandmaster quality, so you need to visit the only Grandmaster crafter in the game, Lazare Lafargue. He is located in Beauclair CIty in Toussaint, as shown in the video. Visiting any other crafter will not be able to craft for you 👍

But what I don’t understand is …when I was doing the quests aka treasure hunt all pieces said grandmaster manticore….but when I go to that grandmaster armorer it only lets me craft “manticore” armor…it doesn’t say grandmaster. So I just figured I had to get all the other levels.
Ahh yes i understand, its confusing as they added the Manticore set much later with the Blood and Wine expansion, hence the reason it doesnt have lower qualities.
I'm having a similar problem, there are no different versions for me, only base Manticore and Legendary Manticore sets, does the Legendary Manticore set count as Grandmaster?
Yes the Legendary Manticore set is still Grandmnaster. Legendary simply means its the NG+ version. Sorry for the delay, only new comments are brought to my attention by RUclips. Tthey need to fix this!
I have a question: In the Menu Screen where Geralt wears the Manticore Armor his gauntlets are partially white. How can I get my gauntlets to have the same color?
No there's no glitch, the Manticore set only comes in Grandmaster quality (it can only be crafted by Grandmaster crafter Lazare Lafargue). It was made available with the Blood & Wine expansion along with all the other level 40 Grandmaster sets. Its just not labelled Grandmaster like the other sets, as there are no other quality levels for Manticore.
Always enjoyed how they gave the Manticore gear a more in depth backstory than the others and how it requires you to travel all across the map.

Unfortunately Manticore cannot be upgraded, it is only available at Grandmaster quality level 40 and is exclusive to the Blood & WIne expansion.

Toussaint Knights Steel sword and the Aerondight SIlver sword is the perfect combination 👍

Monster ears can be obtained by dismantling a Grave Hag's or a Wight's ear. 👍
