Great guide! However there are many end game/lvl 100 guides out there. Can you make a leveling guide? in which order to take which skills, when to swap one armor to the next etc.
I also made an "Aarden" build but I used the entanglement enchantment instead of depletion; it's just fun to see Yrden spreading everywhere on its own! However, I totally ignored Focus, so I will include that as well now.
Yeah Entanglement is way too fun to pass when doing Yrden build! Staying in the Yrden yourself is a bit harder since the trap decides where they are cast, but the bigger rings from Griffin set help a lot. I can see Entanglement making the Netflix armor better for Aarden, but the Yrden placement can still screw the combo over, and you lose on the bigger (and more awesome looking) rings and the bonuses they give. BTW, does someone know how much the extra damage with Aard is with the Netflix armor bonus? Is it worth it at all, or would the extra sign intensity from Griffin still be better because it increases Piercing Cold damage?
@@wombat4191i think its a 7% increase. The forgotten wolf armor is outclassed by both wolven and griffin sets. You can just get it earlier than the wolf set if you dont go through skellige before novigrad
Hello @Franky Boy: I had a problem that I've lost access to the Nilfgaardian Camp (as I've sold somewhere Nilfgaardian armor) - and I couldn't get gauntlets. i agree to an extent. its fun to test out and i generally like to do a very mixed build, but for how few skills you can actually equip to get the best out swords, signs or alchemy you really need to go mostly all out in one or the other.
The first ever time I played the game, I watched loads of guide videos available at that time and built a perfect crit build with Grandmaster Cat gear and all. I can easily imagine people doing the same thing but for every playthrough because it does feel really good to know that you’ve put effort in optimizing the specific build and now you’re all powerful for it. For me I decided I’d have much fun going YOLO for my other playthroughs lol, mostly because Grandmaster Cat gear is not my favourite look and alternate signs look fun. Now I wear Wolf armour (switch around with Manticore every other day when I reach endgame because I can’t decide which design I like more) and use bombs, potions and oils, but my build is focused around Quen, Igni and Yrden and I don’t use decoctions at all because I think it’s too much work. It basically comes down to whether a player wants to role-play the most powerful and methodical Witcher in history or a Witcher in pretty gear who’s just here to have a good time lol.
Can you maybe do a guide/video about a balanced build ? I wanna be able to cast signs drink potions and swing a sword. Just like Geralt is supposed to do in the books.
Full Wolven Set. All quick attack tree, all adrenaline gain tree, All Igni tree, Gryphon school general skill, Focus, adrenaline burst, acquired tolerance allows you to run two decoctions at once. i went with troll and the life gain when doing damage for healing. synergy for larger mutagen buffs. Adrenaline Rush mutation from blood and wine. Whatever you want on your swords, i went with instant adrenaline point gain after a kill from the Heart of Stone enchanter. This allows strong sword attacks, fast adrenaline point gain, fast stamina regen, powerful signs casted at full strength when adrenaline points are maxed via flood of anger. Very diverse build, tons of fun and very witcher lore friendly.
Love this 'AARDEN' build. I remember you saying that you have an infinite stamina bug in your game. Have you tried this build on a save where you don't have this bug and see if there is any difference? I know you get infinite stamina from the build anyway but maybe try it on a save where you have no infinite stamina bug and see the results.
The most broken build is 100% a whirl build with grandmaster cat armor, Aerondight and Toussant Knight steel sword. Then just use euphoria, max out the fast attacks, adrenalin and all the green abilities that enable you to drink more mutagens and increase your toxicity tolerance.Thats the only build that makes deathmarch super easy, Ive literally tried out every possible build and this one is just way superior over all the others.
Found your channel recently. How about tesham mutna mask, boots and trousers ... gives 3/3 boost. Then mix in with grandmaster feline steel sword, chest plate and gloves. This allows for aerondight silver sword. Bonuses from 2 sets plus aerondight silver sword.
For a signs build for me I did a signs + Alchemy build using Griffin set, with metamorphosis as my mutation since I focused on utilizing Igni, Yrden, Quen and Axii, I only got Fire Stream, Igni Intensity for Igni, whole tree for Yrden, Whole tree for Quen and Delusion for Axii, since all of these signs does critical effects, these will all activate Metamorph (even Quen due to knockbacks). For decoctions activated during metamorph: Ancient Leshen, Arachas, Echidna, Foglet, Forktail, and Water Hag (if you didn't take Delayed Recovery as an alchemy skill). for Alchemy skills: Acquired Tolerance, Tissue Transmutation, Heightened Tolerance/Frenzy, Refreshment, Synergy (optional: Delayed Recovery if you didn't take heightened Tolerance so that activated mutations from Metamorphosis lasts as long as you don't go lower than the trigger point). you'll utilize Yrden primarily for damage dealing, and either Burn them with Igni or Axii/Stun them inside the Yrden Trap (which works on Elementals), also utilize Quen for another Damage output when the barrier breaks. Velez runes for the swords, and either full Igni glyphs on the armors for increased burn damage or a mix with Quen Glyphs for a large barrier HP pool - > more damage when breaking and Rotation (since Igni does burn now with Rotation)/Deflection for armor.
Good build, but you had two Sign abilities that could have been placed in the top left and top right groups of slots for an extra 15% sign intensity each side, total 30% more.
I put on piercing cold just for fun as I cleared some ? around the map... it's hilariously broken. With the full griffin set I feel like I'm bullying enemies

All you need in this game is Fleet Footed and Max Igni Intensity. Continuously hop and sidestep around like a frog and toss in Igni's and sword strikes against burning enemies and you are fairly invulnerable, esp with Quen maxxed. Don't even need decent armor to beat any enemy or multiple enemies, just a finger that can actively spam sidestep without getting a blister haha. Fleet Footed is pretty much a broken mechanic that will hopefully be nerfed in Witcher 4.
@@frankyboy13 so I did play blood and wine. I just found out it's unlocked in that dlc. I'm currently made it to skellige in my death march playthrough. Once I finish the game I'm gonna do a NG+ on the blood and wine dlc. Currently level 58 atm. I'm gonna do the dlc on deathmarch as well.
@@frankyboy13 I gotta upgrade all my witcher school gear as well. So I'll be on the main game for awhile. Appreciate all your knowledge man, I've watched a few of your vids. Keep it up! So hey, what game are you working on right now if I may ask?
One question, why are you locking on to enemies? If it's to proc Hunter instict, im pretty sure "targeted enemy type" is based on oil applied to the sword and not the enemy type you are locking on to..? If it's to make sure you don't miss Rend then my bad. :) Also, love the accent :)
I took off deadly precision on my heavy hitting bear school build because it insta killing mobs screwed up leveling up Aerondight. It's a nice effect to have, but you can honestly one shot most mobs anyway with this build in the late game of you want to.
You don't need focus and adrenaline burst mate if you remove them and put 2 blues of your choice instead you will get %30 increased sign intensity from the slotted mutagen and you wont worry about building up adrenaline points... Also 3 stamina regen/s. You are welcome:))
And here's me in the corner killing the game with quen. Self induced monster induced. Once broke ex0losive shield kills. Regensburg itself. Breaks again. It's stupid in a funny way.
Alternae Sign is when you hold the sign button. Alternate Aard is 360 blast, while Alternate Yrden is a magic trap that zaps people when they come within the AOE.
Unfortunately my game keeps crashing, and it always happens after like 30 minutes of selling everything and crafting a bunch of stuff and getting everything all perfect for my next journey... And boom. The game crashes. Idk why it's happening.
(turns out my PS5 DESPERATELY needed to be cleaned. Apparently there was a ton of dirt and hair actually melted onto the heat sinks, somehow. Easy $60 fix! Thanks, local tech guy!)
If you have to benchmark to tell which is better, then they're equally good. If 9k damage kills and enemy with one set, and the other set does 12k damage, then who really cares if it does 12k? Lol The extra 2k is wasted or barely noticable.
For me, I think the best base gear in the end is a mix of grandmaster griffin and gm forgotten wolven. At least for base game, I recently almost finished everything before I start NG+ for the first time. For preference, I think attack and sign boost is best, so equiping the griffin sword and gauntlets, along with the forgotten wolven is probably the most strength build. It looks a little weird but at least less goofy with different gauntlets over green boots on black gear.

I am really enjoying your videos! but HOW do u have 9110 carry limit
Thankyou :3
I have a mod video with my 5 mods!
@@frankyboy13 ill check that out :D
how do you have 16 ability slots? i have both dlcs. did i miss something?
Did you play through everything :)?
One question,
why are you locking on to enemies?
If it's to proc Hunter instict, im pretty sure "targeted enemy type" is based on oil applied to the sword and not the enemy type you are locking on to..?
If it's to make sure you don't miss Rend then my bad. :)
Also, love the accent :)
iot is for rend in this case yes! :)
@@frankyboy13 Ahh good. You got me thinking I was using the skill wrong for a sec. :) Thanks!
How do you have 9110 backpack space? Is it a mod?
ruclips.net/video/4UgYo_CCHS4/видео.html
I took off deadly precision on my heavy hitting bear school build because it insta killing mobs screwed up leveling up Aerondight. It's a nice effect to have, but you can honestly one shot most mobs anyway with this build in the late game of you want to.
change the manticore pants with new moon trousers for 20 % more crit damage which is higher damage than 18 % att power.
nice tip!
How is your carry weight so high ? is that a glitch or mod or something lol
Yeah I don't know how he got that much
How did u get that much storage wish I could get that on ps5
Guy using mods. Tbh it's pretty lame to use mods for that
im a returning player .... how the hell did you get 9110 inventory spaces?
I have a mod video about that!
“5 next gen mods”
Superior blizzard potion allows you to infinitely cast signs when at 3 adrenaline points. Check it out
Killing spree maybe useless because i use potions and the toxixuty meter goes high
Can someone tell me how to upgrade the inventory?
How to increase carry weight like you got .9110 help .. thanks in advance
How is his gear level 92? My grandmaster armor and swords are all stuck on lvl 40.
Maybe you did not start new game plus :)
Invigoration or Waterhag is pointless if you use Ekidna or Ekimara. The whole point of Invigoration or waterhag is to stay at max vitality.
yes
how do you have 9110 carry weight?
Mod
You don't need focus and adrenaline burst mate if you remove them and put 2 blues of your choice instead you will get %30 increased sign intensity from the slotted mutagen and you wont worry about building up adrenaline points... Also 3 stamina regen/s. You are welcome:))
And here's me in the corner killing the game with quen. Self induced monster induced. Once broke ex0losive shield kills. Regensburg itself. Breaks again. It's stupid in a funny way.
How do you have such high weight capacity of 9110?
ruclips.net/video/4UgYo_CCHS4/видео.html
Nice guide, what is alternative aard and yrden?
Alternae Sign is when you hold the sign button. Alternate Aard is 360 blast, while Alternate Yrden is a magic trap that zaps people when they come within the AOE.
I am still convinced, the "arden" builds are some of the best in all 3 of the bitcher games
How is your carry weight 9K!?
Unfortunately my game keeps crashing, and it always happens after like 30 minutes of selling everything and crafting a bunch of stuff and getting everything all perfect for my next journey... And boom. The game crashes. Idk why it's happening.
(turns out my PS5 DESPERATELY needed to be cleaned. Apparently there was a ton of dirt and hair actually melted onto the heat sinks, somehow. Easy $60 fix! Thanks, local tech guy!)
@@Tcrrorhow did that affect the game crashing though?
why i only got grandmaster armors ? how can i get legend armor
New game+
Bro can you share your game save file?
I'm looking forward to a possible english live stream mate, that would be awesome.... 🙂
i a mcurrently live on my german channel :D
twitch.tv/fragnart
I have zero German language skills....lol
î get that :D!
Why not go over 80% on euphoria?
how do you get 9110 item capacity?
It’s a mod :)
I have a top 5 next gen mod video on my channel!
The fizzzeaw do i get all this stuff
Why is the armors/weapons called grandmaster legendary? Is legendary another rarity in new game plus or what?
How to get thousands of inventory space??
This guy uses mods, most of his videos are irrelevant
Yrdn trap+ entanglment rune, is super powerfull
The second one is pure Witcher style
This is great but I don't think that I deserve any credit for this. Keep the tips coming though!
Just put entanglement on the chest of forgotten wolven set yrdn problem solved! That way yrdn comes to them lol
I really need to start putting time into this game, I'm completely lost watching this video
If you have to benchmark to tell which is better, then they're equally good. If 9k damage kills and enemy with one set, and the other set does 12k damage, then who really cares if it does 12k? Lol
The extra 2k is wasted or barely noticable.
Why is the inventory weight OVER 9000!!???
That’s the reason - the mod is called over 9000
It sucks that to get the best builds u can't mix it up a bit
Hast du das auch in Deutsch?
Das hab ich leider nur auf englisch gemacht :D
The Gojo Satoru build.
I’ll be a little pissed off if build 1 doesn’t work, but will not complain
2023 and no timestamps used
How your Saddlebags 9000 ?!
