My apologies everyone!!! Nick & I missed three very important pieces of hardware to complete this build. This car was also utilizing a Unitronic downpipe, the 980cc upgraded port injectors, as well as a Syvecs haldex AWD controller!!!
Loving you collaboration with Iroz and getting to see the cars and all the hardware. As someone who owned 2 RS3’s and now a TTRS its good to see all the different levels of tune etc. Also the quality of your videos are great
Just ordered this turbo and Syvecs for my 8Y. Will go built block and clutches later so not sure if keep it long term but go full frame, fueling system is built
Damn this is so good just found your channel! 94' UrS4 AAN owner here but I'm thinking of grabbing an 18' RS3 Avant. This setup is the shizit just one question will you upgrade to a Syvecs piggyback ECU at some point? I feel data logging and safety parameters are crucial especially if you want to do some track days- thoughts? Fantastic content man subscribed!
The Syvecs unit is not a piggyback. It replaces the OEM ECU. The OEM ECU has more than enough logging capabilities to make sure your car is safe and its performance is maximized. The car in this video is on an OEM ECU.
@@VancityAudi Thanks for the response man! Wasn't aware of this that's good news- a stock DAZA is good for me not really interested in doing a tune right now just going to focus on suspension and brakes. I do want to have safety features in place for either bad plugs, coils, injectors, or fuel though.
@jdmimportlogistics all of the current tuning options out there have a ton of safety options. I wouldn't be surprised if they have even more than stock seeing as you're pushing the motor harder and the tuners arw very aware of that.
What's your secret to keeping the power down out of the hole? I'm stage 2 unitronic ecu/tcu flex E85. I spin to much off the line. I'm hitting a 3.01 0 to 60 when I know I could do better. Also have full JRI coilover set up as well. On fairly new PS4's too. Edit: Syvex controller... also, how do you use the RAL for Unitronic on our RS3s?
whats up with the interior headliner colour being the basic grey color? I've never seen an rs3 have the grey headliner before and never knew it could be chosen. My rs3 certainly never had it and all the other ones ive seen or been in never had it. weird.
Awesome vid bro. I have a 510hp Stage 2 8V in Aus. You briefly mentioned you’ve had TTE’s in the past, could you please expand on the differences between say the TTE777 vs the IMS750HS?
I go over a bunch of details and performance metrics I achieved with the TTE777 in multiple videos in the past. Here's a couple of them: ruclips.net/video/nelBuq4MUkg/видео.html & ruclips.net/video/a_g25BQJhzE/видео.html
I don't know what Hank would say because I respect his knowledge, but you're definitely bumping up against the max power you'd want to do without building the motor I believe on his big build he definitely does full internals
As I mentioned in the video, this turbo makes less torque on E85 than the stock turbo does on E85. It was specifically designed to get the maximum potential out of the stock motor safely. Hank goes over this in detail in this video: ruclips.net/video/mADZM_dlpxk/видео.html
Hey Adam, thanks for giving us this insight. Couple questions, I don't have the Unitronics dp but do have the CTS, i am assuming no issues, correct? 2nd, you mention the syvecs awd controller is also required. Just making sure this is absolutely required and if so curious to know why. TIA Bill
The CTS Turbo downpipe will work fine for power, but not for emissions if you have to deal with that where you live. As for the Syvecs controller, that was simply a part used in the build I showcased in this video. It isn't necessary unless you want the peak performance out of your car by gaining improved traction.
@@VancityAudi ok thanks for the clarification Adam. As for my location Im just north of you and own the 2018 black TTRS...we met at Racing Greed a couple weeks back at the Audi Club dyno day. I just got my flex fuel kit from Kyle and based on this video I am now committed to getting this turbo:). Hoping Kyle is able to become an Iroz reseller so I can get it from him and have installed before the 2024 season begins🤞
Good catch! That's my bad! It has the Unitronic downpipe installed, and we completely forgot to mention that. I'll pin a comment to make sure everyone knows.
@@scottc78Gawd damn it! I forgot to mention the injectors as well! Hank and I discussed them in the Iroz shop tour video. I'll add that to the pinned comment.
Well known by ignorant people? 🤣 It isn't the horsepower that ruins motors, windows blocks, or bends rods. It is the torque. Just the Stage 2 software from Unitronic makes over 600hp, lol.
@VancityAudi look it up! It is way too common for it to be ignorant. Maybe you're the one who's being ignorant. Plenty of info regarding this. Yes you can tune to 600hp, push it and see how long it will last.
@davothegreat9990 LOL. Do you realize I've owned an RS3 for 5 years now and have been a part of the development of these cars running 4 different turbos along the way? You are talking out of your ass, lol. Just admit you were wrong and move on. Stage 2 cars running ethanol make more than 600hp (as I've already stated) and NO ONE builds their motors when running a stock turbo because there is no need unless you are making more than 540lb/ft of torque.
@VancityAudi people, don't listen to this guy. My brother builds motors for a living here in Aus. Trust me do your own research and before modding. Don't take this guys word for it or mine for that matter. Info is all there from multiple different owners not just from this one guy on YT!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@davothegreat9990 I'd love to hear from your brother on this and not you, lmao. If he's ever built a DAZA, he'll know that you are completely wrong. Get a clue.
Not even remotely close. You could get away with running this turbo with just an intercooler and a downpipe. You wouldn't get the full potential of the turbo, but it would still work.

@lilcj141 you don't need a built motor to benefit from using a Syvecs haldex controller: ruclips.net/video/iVhgxdGqUOQ/видео.html

@Xolition an upgraded downpipe is mandatory. It doesn't need to be a Uni downpipe though

amazing setup and great video Adam like always, that makes me want use the stock block more for stage 3 , deadly setup

Is there an option for built block with uniflex software? With having that same turbo

What is ethanol percentage content for Maximum power delivery ? E80?
That would be a question for Unitronic, but I'd assume E85 to make max power.
