but when you think about it again, pulling/dragging waves, that's by default a very high mmr play that speeed would've guessed straight-up immortal...
low mmr brackets will never drag waves, even in my ancient bracket i only saw 1-2 games maximum where people actually drag waves

I hear BSJ refer to this as chillin', which is to say that you just need to recognize when playing passively is beneficial for you. You want to be disruptive when chillin' would be beneficial for the opponents, but play conservatively when it favors you.
Jenkins actually played super well here, obviously. I think that the criticism was more-or-less on point, though.

Carry not buying a bkb has to be my number one reason for absolutely losing my shit while playing any other role. Sure, they have a batrider, sure, it doesn't work against lasso, but they also have an AA and a void spirit and you are entirely useless if pango lucks a disarm, which bkb handles.
Also, I don't know how many games where we get stomped for the first 15 and the enemy gets cocky and just throws the whole damn thing. People don't realize how just one good team fight can absolutely sway the entire outcome of a game. I literally just finished a game where at 15 minutes in our offlane was offering to take one for the team and abandon because the game was going so bad, 2 minutes later enemy team is diving tier 3's and gets wiped and snowballs into what turned into an easy win.

Hard lane dilemmas
Scenario 1: you force enemy pos4 to save tp to your lane, while a big wave was pushing towards their bot tower; as a result enemy offlaner took all that xp solo, got his needed power spike and killed your core a few times later when his pos4 rotated back. Is "Space creation" just a meme?
Scenario 2: you hit your power spike, kill enemy core and/or pos5 more than once, force them to leave the lane; instead of destroying their items or farming jungle, they gank your mid and easy lane, making their laning life shit, and there was no way you could save tp. Is "Winning your lane" just a meme?
There are 1 and 3 pos heroes, who can lane 1v2 rather safely and efficiently, as a result gain more xp than their lane opponents. Also, there are heroes who can jungle from lvl1 rather efficiently, eg. bs, lc, np etc. Ideally, your team can have 3 solo lanes for max lane xp, and 2 heroes in the corresponding side jungles not only helping to pull (if necessary) and stack, like most pos 4 and 5 heroes, but actually farm the jungle camps for maximum team xp efficiency. Farming enemy jungle rather safely is another possible option. Is 1-1-1-1-1 the future of dota?:)

you either have a strong zoning pos 4 or a roamer and both games are just different i guess as a offlaner whether u can either own the lane and make the carry leave or you basically have to leave.
if this is feeding, what about 10 deaths in 10 minutes as solo mid?

Im Herold 2 and I think you played outstandingly Jenkings! I usually always try to fight near the enemy tier 3, because like you said: fighting at the tier 1 or tier 2 is too dangerous. There are simply too many heroes! My team will always yell at me: 'WHY YOURE YOU DIVING!??' Can you explain why fighting close to the enemy base is better?
He was just talking about cutting the lane, not really go there to fight. Cutting the lane is a good practice when you know you don't stand a chance against the enemy carry as an offlaner. If you're stronger than the enemy carry, it is best to fight them normally in lane.

we lose some, we win some, and that's fine.
im guardian 3 support, just get your passive if you know you need regen, you can see AA is using chilling touch first. like level your ability so you dont have to spam regen IDK, feels weird watching unlevelled LC

If you had been with a player like 'mid or feed' that'd be a different story, because these players are usually very good at their role! So maybe then it would be your fault for losing.
