Killing it as always, Chris! I’m not surprised that Mind Eraser at SFA is going. I refused to ride T2 on my one trip to Kentucky Kingdom. Mind Eraser at Six Flags America is my worst steel coaster. Rust in pieces!
You didn't hear this from me, but I have sources that say that Frontier City's next ride will in fact not be any flat ride, but will either be an Indoor Coaster, or Dark Ride. It will be themed around the same theme they gave the super loop, but more in depth. There are some leaked audio files I heard for the ride and it DEFINITELY sounds like some coaster. The pacing of it felt like Escape from Gringotts.
@AirtimeThrills I have an intresting Europe one. Bur or Sell: With recent investments, In 10-15 years Compagnie des Alpes will make Parc D'astrix, Walibi holland and Walibi Belgium into major coasterparks in Europe.
Tillman Fertita is the owner of the Houston Rockets, Kemah Boardwalk and Galveston Pleasure Pier as well as the Downtown Aquarium in Houston (which has a few rides). I could see a Rockets themed coaster at any of these small parks.
Chris, I'm not certain that Mind Eraser at Six Flags America is "closed" per se. The entire section of the park it sits is closed off, along with the kids Whistlestop Park. I can't see every single ride in those sections being closed for good. Sounds more like budget cuts right now. If it goes, I wouldn't be overly surprised, but the fact that a dozen rides plus sit in those sections leads me to believe that they're just closed for "reasons."
I think having a coaster, flat ride, or theme area themed to a professional sports team would be great It would attract the GP (who recognizes the sports team and would want to ride it) the sports enthusiast as they would go to the park to ride their team, and the enthusiast as it would be a credit they could get whether they like sports or not.
How is Frontier City in June-July range? My daughter and I are roadtripping the parks in TX/OK/MO (coming from FL) this summer and I'm anticipating buying fast passes at most parks. Would that even be necessary for FC?
I have never seen Frontier City crowded. The worst I've seen is a couple train wait for Silver Bullet, Steel Lasso, and Wildcat. But usually it's a station wait or walkon
We can only hope it’s the beginning of the end when it comes to the SLCs. Buy or Sell: Six Flags will sell off at least two parks before the end of the decade.
At least Frontier City got some upkeep: Wildcat actually running two (renewed?) trains and Gunslinger finally being regularly open. Of course, now Silver Bullet and Diamondback are down all the time...but hey, gotta accentuate the positive.
Buy or Sell: With their newest launch coaster in Sanya looking promising, Golden Horse will enter parks in European and/or North American parks in the next 3-5 years with their cheaper launch coaster models.
Buy or Sell: The next B&M Surf Coaster will be new trains for the Intamin standup Shockwave at Drayton Manor in the UK. They put it in their 5 year plan to the council that they be replacing the trains on one of their coasters (undoubtedly shockwave - only extreme coaster). Also the surfing theme mixes in perfectly with the theme of the recently re-themed Adventure Cove area which is a chill, coast area with bright colours. I think it would be the perfect option for a train replacement (instead of sit down trains) because it is the UK's only stand up coaster and could benefit from such flexible trains.
IMO, a new park north of atlanta needs to happen. I live an hour from sfog and it's an hour away. Buy or Sell? I think Silverwood picks up an acceleration launch coaster. I'm thinking Rita from Alton Towers. It would seriously fit in this charming western park next to the old vintage car rides. I think as well it would be awesome with Stunt Pilot. If, they added a launched single rail that be great too, but who knows. Silverwood has picked up 2 coasters from other parks so, its never a question that Silverwood could pick up a 3rd coaster and I think Rita would be fit nicely in this park. Also, it would be appreciated rather than hated by its fan base. Rita hits 20 years old in 2025. So, giving it 2 years.
On the topic of rides named after sports teams, Valley Fair already has Wild Thing, and that's just begging to get a Minnesota Wild re-theme. Wouldn't take much, but would probably drum up some attention during an off year from a true new ride.

Buy or Sell: The large retracking that was quietly done on American Eagle's red side for the 2023 season is the first part of a large multi-year refurbishment project for the coaster.
Buy or sell. Great Escape is approaching its 70th anniversary. Six flags throws them a bone and gives the a standout coaster. If not for the 70th then definitely for the 75th?
Buy or sell: Six Flags Discovery Kingdom sees an big attendence increase after CGA closes, causing it to receive larger investments. Such as more flat rides and more care to the back of the park. I'd love to hear your thoughts on what could happen to SFDK when it becomes the only major park around the bay area.
Green Bay should make a ride with the worst restraints ever and call it the Choker (where you literally choke to fit the theming), having two good moments and the rest is just a bunch of disappointment that fails to live up to its potential. Perfect for a Packers themed coaster!
Funspot Atlanta is busy at night already. Atlanta is hot as *^%@ in the summer and folks like to go out in the evening. Funspot has already said they have plans to do more work with RMC. Maybe they are willing to be first for the TRex?
Buy or Sell: Cedar Point will eventually merge its version of Planet Snoopy with the nearby Kiddie Kingdom. (The easiest way I could see this happening is by boarding off the back end of the arcade from the rest, and using that area for an enclosed walkway.)
Vekoma hasn't given up on the model entirely--they installed one in Vietnam in 2017, and before that at Energylandia in 2015. The newest ones came with the vest restraints, which provide a much better ride. Some SLCs may be beyond saving but others may be with us for a while.
@@MarsJenkar I hope flight deck gets the great nor-easter treatment, I rode it and it's one of my favorite coasters! I feel like if Vekoma brought them back but with the new track and new restraints I think they could be as good, if not better than the B&M inverts.

Buy or Sell 2: In response to the re-imagining of Top Thrill Dragster, Six Flags will have Kingda Ka re-imagined with not just a vertical spike, but a much longer layout, with multiple inversions, one of which might even be the tallest in the world. Buy or sell. With the new stadium proposal for Orlando seaworld Orlando will push even harder to improve their park. As a baseball and theme park fan I hope this happens
I can see FunSpot Atlanta getting a Raptor, it would be an inexpensive way to add another major coaster to the park and has enough of a different ride experience from the Arie, especially if it’s more inversion focused.
I think Frontier City sucks but I can see them getting a star flyer, possibly a Gerslauer Euro Fighter as well. I see how Glennwood Caverns in Glenwood Springs Colorado got a Gerslauer Euro Fighter and put it in a small space on top of a mountain, Frontier City can definately find some room to put a small coaster like that and make the park a whole lot better.

@@averagecoasterenjoyer That's fine; at least a lot of people are predicting it.
@@SingleRiderGuy fair enough, it is my home park
@@averagecoasterenjoyer same
Buy or sell: Six Flags Discovery Kingdom sees an big attendence increase after CGA closes, causing it to receive larger investments. Such as more flat rides and more care to the back of the park. I'd love to hear your thoughts on what could happen to SFDK when it becomes the only major park around the bay area.
What about any parks tied with Philadelphia area teams including affiliates?
Green Bay should make a ride with the worst restraints ever and call it the Choker (where you literally choke to fit the theming), having two good moments and the rest is just a bunch of disappointment that fails to live up to its potential. Perfect for a Packers themed coaster!
The next wooden roller coaster to close will be the mighty Canadian mindbuster.
opps I forgot the say buy or sell
Funspot Atlanta is busy at night already. Atlanta is hot as *^%@ in the summer and folks like to go out in the evening. Funspot has already said they have plans to do more work with RMC. Maybe they are willing to be first for the TRex?
Buy or Sell: Cedar Point will eventually merge its version of Planet Snoopy with the nearby Kiddie Kingdom.
(The easiest way I could see this happening is by boarding off the back end of the arcade from the rest, and using that area for an enclosed walkway.)
Blackpool pleasure beach will always have theirs they'll probably give it a full re track and square wheels before considering tearing it down
Havent been this early before. Glad there’s a theme Park war in Iowa since I’m in IL it’s closer!
Buy or sell: Togo standups will be converted to floorless coasters
If Vekoma SLCs do go the way of the dinosaurs, I don't think they'll be missed by a lot of people.
Some of my friends like them but only the smoother ones (Riddler's Revenge, Great Nor-Easter)
Buy or sell: the first T Rex goes to a SeaWorld park
infusion is my local SLC. it was good when it opened but it's beyond rough these days. funny enough though it is a gp magnet still
Buy or sell Dollywood adds a mid tier thrill ride with more dark ride elements.
Buy or Sell: Carowinds to introduce a new Pirate Island area of the park alongside four new flat rides and a Mack Rides Power Splash. Later on Nighthawk and Vortex are removed for a B&M Dive and an RMC Raptor. Then finally they will RMC Hurler. This would all happen from Spring 2024 to Spring 2036.
My idea.
Top 10 prime RMC candidates.
The ten most likely coasters to get the RMC treatment.
Buy or Sell: Kings Island gets a coaster in 2024 to replace Vortex.
By or Sell.
Outlaw Run will get I-Box Track in the next 3 years
buy or sell: herschend will invest in a new major thrill coaster for wild adventures in the next five years
Buy or sell: California’s Great America gets sold to an independent company, and they transform the park to a sports themed park instead of demolishing it and building warehouses on it
Buy or sell: Hot Wheels Twin Racer at Mattel Adventure Park, AZ will be the Hyper GT-X installation that finally makes the model popular and more widespread for smaller parks
Buy or Sell: Now that Vekoma has begun to move upmarket, Gerstlauer will earn the reputation of being the "low-cost" or "budget" coaster mfg with their small Eurofighters
I’d like to hear your point of view about MLB moving to Orlando next to seaworld?
Do you think maybe Frontier Coasters meant a thrill flat ride instead of a roller coaster? That was kind of where I thought they were going with it.
Buy or sell, flashback at six flags new England gets relocated to frontier city (maybe getting new trains) and they use the space from the boomerangs to make their next coaster, rather that’s a Raptor or launch coaster or anything else
*Buy or Sell: Will Viper at Six Flags Magic Mountain be around for much longer? Or will it get demolished in the next couple of years?
Buy or Sell 1: Kumba gets a Phantom's Revenge-style treatment, and is converted into a giga coaster, removing all inversions and replacing them with airtime hills.
Buy or Sell 2: In response to the re-imagining of Top Thrill Dragster, Six Flags will have Kingda Ka re-imagined with not just a vertical spike, but a much longer layout, with multiple inversions, one of which might even be the tallest in the world.
Buy or Sell 3: Following the success of Pipeline at SeaWorld Orlando, B&M will introduce more innovative coaster models within the next 10 years.
You could argue that Atlanta is already Fun Spot's flagship.
Buy or sell. With the new stadium proposal for Orlando seaworld Orlando will push even harder to improve their park. As a baseball and theme park fan I hope this happens
Canobie's Yankee Cannonball has a light-up Boston Celtics shamrock at the top of the lift hill, though that doesn't exactly constitute a theme.
Buy or Sell: King Island's next coaster will feature one or more launches.
I can see FunSpot Atlanta getting a Raptor, it would be an inexpensive way to add another major coaster to the park and has enough of a different ride experience from the Arie, especially if it’s more inversion focused.
Yeah I can see that also, it would be different enough from AF1 regardless of the layout I think
Buy or Sell: TTD reimagined will be a top 100 coaster in your opinion
Buy or sell: Kings Island only removes one coaster between now and 2035
I think Frontier City sucks but I can see them getting a star flyer, possibly a Gerslauer Euro Fighter as well. I see how Glennwood Caverns in Glenwood Springs Colorado got a Gerslauer Euro Fighter and put it in a small space on top of a mountain, Frontier City can definately find some room to put a small coaster like that and make the park a whole lot better.
Buy or Sell: An RMC family hybrid will finally pop up in the next three years.
Buy or Sell? Goliath at Six Flags Fiesta Texas is the first batman clone to get cut. The Boomerang got new trains...? Could get a new woodie to rival Texas Sting Ray, Return of Rattler!
Buy or sell Grizzly at Kings Dominion is going to be the best night ride ever when it opens back up.
