    My tip that works great with the roe knot is add a small bead on the leader so it sits right where the knot is stick leader back in the eye of the hook now it's easy everytime you want to add roe you have that little bead to open loop works awesome

    After watching this, I went and bought some coonies, I’d used roe before without any luck. I ran them of a spin and glo on a plunking rig and got a couple bites, first ever since moving here in 2011. Hopefully the summer steelhead start picking up this year

    12ft rod middle to tip action..1 3/4 - 2.2lb test curve. Transform your float fishing for salmon. Much more line control and faster pick up.

    You have great videos, I am relatively new to the PNW and it's been quite a learning curve fishing for steelhead, trout and salmon. Your videos are clear, easy to follow and to the point. Really good stuff! Thanks!

    I think nomenclature is important when teaching . The knot you described as an Egg Loop knot I learned as just a Snell Knot . The knot I was taught began similar to yours but the wrapping was done not with the tag end but with the other .

    Like these guys I prefer a SPINNING reel for river float fishing. At least when you want no drag on the float. Good vid, guys.

    Is it possible to use your coon shrimp setup in bigger water like the willamette or columbia river?

    do you guys soak your lead or shots in Liquid plumber to get rid of the shine ?? soaking it turn the lead either brown or black. Pending how long its is soaked. I soak it for like a week or 2 . It make it a more Natural looking twig and won`t spook the fish

    Can you still fish the coon shrimp even if the head pops off or do you have to replace it with a whole new on?

    Do you have a pump or a short shaft motor on the river you are on? I've got a wee boat with a short shaft (yes I walked into that one) but would love to get into the sandy or the clack. I saw you had a 90 on your boat. where can I go or how do I learn how to fish those rivers with my boat - 14' 18 HP merc.

    Thoughts on using the smaller coonies? Depends on water clarity? or always prefer the larger ones?

    • @AddictedFishing
      @AddictedFishing  5 лет назад

      I like the smaller ones most of the time honestly.

    You guys partner on a lot of products, but they aren't always easy to find...you need more on your online page! I went to three stores over the weekend and they were out of #2 Mustag hooks.

    Those millennials are the jam! The rubber bobber stops, not so much. Dacron nail knot stoppers work 1000x better

    Im thinking you are an american if not disreguard lol. Funny couple yrs ago after watching vid after vid wondering why the americans dont use long rods like us fishing gods in canada. I use a 10'6" rod with center pin they have center pins on amazon for $50-$80 and there actually good reels i promise once you hook a fish on a center pin you will never go back to anything else especially nice and really good the islander gold reel made here in my home town Sidney bc vancouver island. there def not $40-$80 lol closer to $500-$600 well worth it there beautiful id trade the wife before the reel sad but true lol. she acuses it about it being my mistress lol
