The emotional expression on Will's face when his character finally bags the job after 6 months of utter hardships is one of the most priceless expressions of the century I bet. It really had me in tears, happy tears.
The best movie of all times...no one could have justified Chris Gardner's story like Will's Smith. This movie is full of emotions and positivity...I watch this movie everytime I feel low🙂
If all of us could just watch this movie more than once, maybe we could just go and find our own personal pursuit of happiness. Whether it’s going to a new job site and get recruited into the workplace or finishing up another school semester. Back in high school as a senior, I almost became a dropout and didn’t graduate but something or someone encouraged me to do better with my school work and homework and eventually I got more good grades and graduated. Did I doubt myself? A little bit but I built up my self confidence and made it all the way to graduation. I think this movie is not only inspirational but encouraging.
One of the best movie ever. About struggle, about financial problems, about emotional breakdown specially when your loved one leaves you , about the determination a person should owe in order to "pursuit of happyness" of his life.
I’m about to embark on a journey, school and work, very little sleep, depression and anxiety and I was feeling like I may not be able to handle it. So I watched this again to remind me that the impossible is possible, you just can’t give up
i remember seeing this on Netflix good movie Will Smith played in. it shows a great deal of how one can live through poverty and surivive on such little to get to something big and so he did.
This really gave me the motivation to take my studies seriously. I've been procrastinating since so long but now I am serious that if I want the life I desire, I've got work HARD for it! And thats exactly what am gonna do, and do the best I can. Even if others are working 9 hours I will make my 6 hours count
This movie is my all time favorite. It really touches heart and hug your soul specially if you are alike with Chris Gardner, who struggles in life and holding on to survive then eventually succeed. This is one is so so real. Such a feel-good movie.
My prof made us watch this as part of an activity and then have questions answered later. And i really hate that im only discovering this now. Im just a student and haven't had any jobs or that much hardships experienced in life, but this taught me so much. He had nothing but his son and a few dollars, but he manage to get by everyday. That tells me to be contented on what i have now, because there are others who wanted to be in my position. I was nervous the whole movie that he might die in an accident since he was always running, or some other tragic things might happen. Im glad he didn't and at the end found the success he and his son deserve. I will forever be grateful for this movie and surely will never forget about this. Will Smith never fails to impress.
I have watched this movie 1st time when I was in standard 8th...After that whenever I feel lack of confidence I watch this movie...Best motivation booster movie for youths
I tend to call myself that I'm a cruel person till I've watched this film and I couldn't stop tears flowing from my eyes when I saw the toilet scene and I started to cry with Will Smith 😖😖😖😖😭😭😭😭😭😭
But he is black. Would you expect Hollywood to give him oscars? I Robot, Enemy of the State, The Legend of Bagger Vance. Watched these all several times.
Kumar Peirson It’s hard to tell from your terrible writing, but are you honestly saying he didn’t win the Oscar because he is black? The man who the Oscar that year was Forest Whitaker, a black man! Actually know what you’re talking about before playing the race card 🤦🏻♂️
I've never watched this movie I recently became my father a couple years ago and I'm afraid that if I watch this I will be crying the whole time it looks amazing but the love that I learned to experience now after being a father it's something that I can't explain it's the most amazing thing in the world One day I will gather the cards to watch this and just enjoy the cry
You go and watch one interview with him. The man has this portion of his life as the most precious of it all. He feels more than pride for what he went through, and the man should, I know I'll probably never experience something like this. Respect beyond words.
Will Smith and his son starring! And base on a true story! As a parent, this movie touches the my heart. San Francisco Chinatown & Oakland ! I’m recommending this movie to my 20 year old son and will be watching it with my 12 year old daughter . Thanks Netflix!!
This movie is masterpiece . How one ordinary man works hard when his wife has gone ,his home was taken away . Sometimes he has to spend night in public toilet with his son . And at last he becomes best of his company.
Even my own mother struggled alone to try and take care of my me as a kid.But she had some help from my other family members to watch me me while she was working....even when i was autistic...i asked her did she still loved me regardless of my condition i was born with and she said she did ...and my parents problems weren't my fault it was just things that was out of their control. But they never stopped loving me though...an she said giving me up for adoption was not an option, as she was, struggling she never gave up providing a life for me and now here i am all powerful and grown up after going through a lot of obstacles that made us stronger and successful.
I saw struggled life of a common man🎥. His acting and Jaden Smith is so adorable addition to that motivation is at its acme. Such a brilliant work by the crew👏
I watched this movie when i was at my school..... now today i am watching it for 10th time. Cause i am a stock brocker today..... thank you for the inspiration that you gave me..... 😊😊
I would have said the same to my dad for trying his hardest as well.Even though he wasn't always there for as much he has tried to at least I'm still grateful enough to have him in my life.
This is one of the great movies I had watched ,When I watched the emotional version of this trailer I cried and also motivated after watching the trailer, After watching the movies, it is great
This movie is a testament to the amazingness of America and what you can accomplish if you’re a good person who decides “if you want something, go get it, period.”
Watching this right now. I cant help but feel for chris. I also have a 3 year old who's with me because his dad left. I need to pull myself together for the two of us. Hope I can be like chris someday.
Definitely a movie of "LIFE". This movie displays some really serious character playing skills either it be chris(father) or christopher(son) even linda(wife) looked into it completely.About christopher, He has my heart as i had seen him as Dre-Parker in The Karate Kid.I have also seen linda in 2012 movie. I thought this movie sets a perfect example that "It doesn't matter how slowly you go as long as you do not STOP !" . I personally felt very connected to this movie because of the characters. Movie is all about the struggles you have to go through to get a good life on your own. !...If you want it you gotta get it...!
Very happy to see a movie which is emotionally so .....moving...but without" illness n death concept!"!! Shaking u emotionally but building u as well....very nice movie.....!!!

I think this has got to be one of my fav Will Smith movies ever. At the end the real guy did a cameo in it and I love when the real actual people make cameos
I hardly watch a Hollywood movie but this movie was recommended by many. And now I would like to recommend this movie. At least once in time, this should be watched I think that this movie teaches young people and adults a very valuable lesson in the movie. This is a family movie, the family should always have faith in one, moreover, a father and son should always have faith in each other. I have learned from the society that there is always one thing, that father and daughter & mother and son this are the most common happy relations, but this movie has changed the perspective of accepting the things only society speaks. "If you like it, then have it. No matter what I say, no matter what everyone says." This is a story of a man living in mediocrity, working as a salesman and despite facing several problems on every front of his life, He dares. Dares to dream big. This is an admirably unsentimental biography with an amazing performance. It’s an excellent movie that shows if you work hard for something you will get success. Will Smith and his son, Jaden bring to life the true story of a father-son family, struggling to step up from the bottom rung of the ladder. I believe that kids should watch this movie, so they will realize that they are blessed in their lives, and it’s not easy for parents to struggle always. This is a movie based on a real-life experience. Will Smith does an incredible job as well as his son Jaden. He had his son in this movie that’s why it was easier for Will Smith to put himself out there emotionally. You can feel the emotion and are rooting for his character through the movie. Jaden Smith is adorable. He delivers an endearing performance as Gardner's son, Christopher, in what turns out to be a simple, sentimental, but ultimately inspiring movie. The film deals with a particular perspective, focusing, as the title implies, on the constitutional right to "pursue" happiness, rather than the right to be happy. In this manner, the movie can avoid focusing much on racism and how that factors into achieving the Dream. Instead, the relationship between father and son, through all the ups and downs of family and economic instability, take centre stage, with lovely results. “The Pursuit of Happyness” counts how Chris, compromises by some bad luck, a few stupid moves and a shrew for a wife, Linda, loses his apartment and, with his 5-year-old, Christopher, joins the ranks of the homeless, if not the hopeless. Evicted from the mainstream and bounced from shelter to shelter, Chris holds firm to his dignity, resolve, faith, love and independence. Money matters in “The Pursuit of Happyness,” as it does in life. But it matters more openly in this film than it does in most Hollywood stories that set their sights on the poor, largely because Chris’s pursuit of happiness eventually becomes interchangeable with his pursuit of money. He doesn’t want just a better, more secure life for himself and his child. The ending (I won’t give it away too much) had the tears flowing, tears of happiness of course. I recommend this movie to everyone who loves movies that have a real storyline and leave you with a good feeling. This movie is worth taking the time to see. Will Smith is an incredible actor and the real person whom this film was made around must be proud. This movie is gonna play with your emotions. You are gonna cry, laugh along with the characters. “You deserve to be happy”.
Worth watching movie no words to describe this legend Hats off to the will smith character its not just a character but an emotion which each viewer felt
