Everyone always talks about Lego City Undercover but no one ever mentions Lego City Undercover: Let the Chase Begin. I played the latter on my 3ds before I ever had a Wii U and whenever I got the game on Wii U, I was so shocked that it was a sequel and not just the same game on a different console. Of course, the titles were different so I should've known that, but I was a little kid so I didn't know any better.
The 3DS version is still a 3DS exclusive. It's pretty good, manages to cram the entire open world into the 3DS, although it's no longer one contiguous area, with load screens between locales. Ultimately it's basically just more of Lego City Adventures, so if you liked that and want to play more, the opportunity is there. Not life-changing, but it's a Lego game so that shouldn't be too surprising.
I think this is a solid video, however, expanding in detail on each game and its unique mechanics would be appreciated. Certain games feel very glossed over because of this despite being included in the tier list.

lego marvel superheroes was my first video game ever! and it's still my favorite Lego game also! I think I became a true gamer after I played it for 15 straight hours. Also it does make me happy that the majority of lego games ended up so high on the tier list. shows how great they are as a whole
your list played it pretty safe so i would like to give my 'hot takes' version: s - indiana jones, harry potter , batman 2 (best ones to 100%) a- complete saga, lego batman , lotr (play these if you enjoyed the s tier, will probably drop off before completing) b - lego marvel, lego dimensions (only if you can afford all of it, otherwise f), lego dc villains (past the peak but still good) c - lego pirates, lego star wars 3 (felt too small/ repetitive, still fun) d - skywalker, jurassic world and undercover (decent but not worth free playing) f ( not worth trying) - lego movie 1 and 2, worlds, star wars 7, indy 2, marvel 2 and avengers, incredibles, ninjago, hobbit, batman 3 (these felt like cash grabs to me)

LIJ2, LMA, and LMSH2 are lower B-tier games, at best. I enjoyed them, but not as much as the other above games. LB2 is a D-tier for me because of the flight mechanics while in Gotham City, the compass, and unlocked suits not being part of a free play party in a mission. If you’re confused by that, here’s what I mean. You need to be careful when switching characters because if a situation arises in which a suit switcher is required, you can only change suits with those switchers. This wasn’t the case in LBTVG; it’s implied that all suits become part of your free play party in that game-they may not appear in the character party when selecting a mission, but you can freely switch between them. CyricZ, a game walkthrough maker on GamesFAQ, explains that in better detail in his LB2 guide.
Yeah understand, But LB2 was the first Open world Lego game and with this I ranked it higher as I’m comparing it to other Lego games, becouse if I was to compare it to, Zelda BoTW it’d be much lower in the tier list, but I love these discussions and I’ll check out that LB2 guide aswell.😎

The Lego Movie 2 Video Game was pretty fun to play through for me once I got the hang of all the controls. I loved it a lot as I’m a suck for The Lego Movie, but I feel like the nonlinear style for the levels was pretty disorienting
Personally I would of put The Skywalker Saga in D tier because it's just a bunch of run here, play this boring level for a couple seconds, run over here, do this, run over there, play another mediocre level for a couple seconds. And then a ton of random hidden bricks and crap, thousands of them, and they all feel boring and pointless because there are so many. Yeah, looks good, it's just boring though.
I haven't played too many of these games, especially recently, but my own favorites are Lego LOTR, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars Clone Wars. A lot of that probably hinges on the source material and visual presentation, but also in the case of Lego Indie, I think that game has the best platforming I've played in any of the games. It's just very enjoyable to jump around in, admittedly, they did put the best platforming level at the very beginning of the game, though, which I'm really not a fan of.
I love lego star wars the complete saga first big lego game and I am a star wars fanatic so this game is so good with all of the episodes (no one cares about 7,8,9 movies lol). Plus, I loved free play and open world within the star wars galaxy. Such an great game.
Lego city undercover is S, Lego Jurassic World is A cuz I wish you could play as the dinos outside of the enclosures and lego harry potter collection is also A.
Played Skywalker saga for the first time some days ago and I´m sorry to say it but it sucks kinda hard. The levels, wich basicaly do not exist, is some of the lazyest I´ve played. Boring openworld, the platforming aspect is missing, so few/boring character abilitys and the "puzzels" are not really puzzels. The best thing about the game is the graphics and artwork. Those departments really knocked it out of the park. I also think some aspect of the combat is a welcome edition, especially the lightsaber combat, except for the combo meter
We’ve all got that one Lego game you like dislike or are just MEH about and unfortunately that was Lego Harry Potter, I just replay the second one way more if I’m craving some Lego Harry Potter action 😄
The lego Harry potter platinum trophy drove me literally insane the hub world is just impossible to navigate and there are an outrageous amount of secret rooms it took me like 6 total. hours even with a guide during multiple weeks of playing god i hated it (edit) also in your S ranking i would just add lego movie 1 but i may be abit biased for that maybe put batman 2 at A and the S tier is without flaw all of those are very good games that i have all 100%
dimensions is an S tier for me. best lego game ever if you have a toypad emulator. But a terrible, empty game with just the starter pack and even a few things that only drains your wallet. dc villians deserves higher than C imo City is goated af. Msh2 as well. Add the starwars ds games to F tier. forgot which ones exactly, i know one of them (the top down one?) is D at best. Theyre completely different games lego universe can be B. Skywalker saga is B tier. Its graphically impressive, has great cutscenes but the gameplay is boring. Worlds is ok. C tier rather than D. Bricktales is D tier.
Well the reason Dimensions weren’t ranked higher is due to me not playing everything it has available due to a pay wall. But I had a great time playing it on my Wii I had many many many hours on it. Bricktales and universe weren’t included as I haven’t played those so is the reason for the Lego racing game, and the DS version of the Lego games I didn’t know where different maybe I’ll take a look at it in the future. IDK why but I never properly vibed with skywalker saga. Maybe I was at lego game burnout, or maybe I just went to the least fun hub areas for completion first, but whatever it was I just wasn't feeling it. Never finished it :(

Yeah definitely agree with a lot but for sure would change some. Especially Skywalker saga. I was just so disappointed with the end product. The graphics are nice but that’s about it. I think the combat is fine, probably an improvement but I can’t even test it if there’s no point because I can literally just stand still and won’t get hit for 5 minutes. The level design is atrocious, just rushed linear 5 minute walking simulators with no secrets or anything cool about them, the characters are all the same because of the class system and there’s no customisation. It’s fundamentally not a Lego game, just a bad generic Star Wars retelling with a skin slapped on. I haven’t played lego games in a while, but I looked at a review of the skywalker saga, and from what I saw in it, that game aint it. From what I understood it has basically no interesting abilities for the characters, most of the boss fights are repetitive, the amount of levels is lacking, the levels that are in the game lack the signature Lego Game silliness, the levels are padded out with tedious minigames while having only basically one type of puzzle(that being “put in/take out the energy thing to/of the other energy thing”), all the actual puzzles are in the open world(tho apparently those are kinda mediocre as well), most of the game takes place in the open world, where the game just makes you walk around and do side quests, the flying in space can be tedious because of smuggler missions(whatever those are), the amount of collectibles(I think it was some sort of jedi related lego brick) has increased by five times, with somewhere around a thousand special jedi bricks to collect so you can unlock characters or something, the vehicle missions absolutely suck aside from like one or two?, and finally, my personal bias and taste being taken into account, the game has the three terrible star wars sequel trilogy movies included in it. So for now I strongly disagree with your opinion about the Skywalker Saga game. Edit: forgot to mention that apparently the game has no character customization. What the hell? That was one of the best parts of a lego game!
Well it is my opinion and I just felt like the adaptation of the movies it’s based on was really good, I chuckled during my playthrough many times and yes boss fights might have been repetitive so if I were to compare it to other games it wouldn’t be so high but compareing it to Lego games it’s deffenetly not on the same level as Lego Movie 2 the video game.

A or B tier, for the sake of the quality put into it, but it isn’t a lego game to me, from what I’ve seen of it. Yeah don't bother with Skywalker Saga. It might have 5x the amount of collectibles as The Complete Saga but it probably has about 1/5th of the diversity in terms of gameplay and puzzles. It's just doing the same boring mundane tasks over and over, with long waiting times inbetween because it takes ages to traverse the map.

Indiana Jones Adventure Continues (Hub world was interesting but the original game/1-3 is a lot better) The Hobbit (It was never completed and when i was younger i really hoped they'd do 5 armies as a DLC, and i hated the LEGO MOVIE mechanics) The Lego Movie The Videogame, just watch the movie instead, i find it very boring to play. E. Dimensions, OVERALL COST/EXPENSIVE NATURAL TO OWN AND PLAY EVERYTHING, takes away a lot of my liking of this game but the IPs they managed to get makes it a 8/10 but on principle it has to rank far lower it's DLC extortionate. F. Incredibles i love the movies and would rather just play them, plus Marvel and DC are better superhero games. Lego Movie 2, Lego Worlds I'd rather play with LEGO IRL or just play Minecraft.

Lego DC supervillians is underrated. Idk abt you but I enjoyed the game. the only lego game that I bought the full dlc
dimensions is an S tier for me. best lego game ever if you have a toypad emulator. But a terrible, empty game with just the starter pack and even a few things that only drains your wallet.

lego universe can be B. Skywalker saga is B tier. Its graphically impressive, has great cutscenes but the gameplay is boring.
Worlds is ok. C tier rather than D.
Bricktales is D tier.
Well the reason Dimensions weren’t ranked higher is due to me not playing everything it has available due to a pay wall. But I had a great time playing it on my Wii I had many many many hours on it.
Bricktales and universe weren’t included as I haven’t played those so is the reason for the Lego racing game, and the DS version of the Lego games I didn’t know where different maybe I’ll take a look at it in the future. But thanks for letting me know where you’d rank these games :)

The only thing I complain for lego Star Wars the skywalker saga is the challenges but the minikits from 10 to 5 was an amazing change I love it and for the gold bricks from 10 to 6 was an excellent change in my opinion the only thing I would complain is why lego Star Wars the skywalker saga has level challenges that players have to do for players I put it in either in s tier which is amazing or c tier which is mid aka ok . But still an amazing lego video game give it a s tier which is amazing but for the level challenges I would give it in the c which is a mid aka ok 👌🏻👍 in my opinion says.
Lego worlds is one of my favorite Lego games! That would make since tho cuz I like sandbox games lol.

IDK why but I never properly vibed with skywalker saga.
Maybe I was at lego game burnout, or maybe I just went to the least fun hub areas for completion first, but whatever it was I just wasn't feeling it. Never finished it :(

Still, I can highly recommend these ancient games I mention. Getting them to run, however, is a pain, cause most of them are 16bit.

Yeah definitely agree with a lot but for sure would change some. Especially Skywalker saga. I was just so disappointed with the end product. The graphics are nice but that’s about it. I think the combat is fine, probably an improvement but I can’t even test it if there’s no point because I can literally just stand still and won’t get hit for 5 minutes. The level design is atrocious, just rushed linear 5 minute walking simulators with no secrets or anything cool about them, the characters are all the same because of the class system and there’s no customisation. It’s fundamentally not a Lego game, just a bad generic Star Wars retelling with a skin slapped on. So if I were to rank them it would be
S) Complete Saga, Indiana Jones, Marvel Superheroes, Pirates of the Carribean, Batman, Lord of the Rings
A) Batman 2, Hobbit, City Undercover, Star Wars Clone Wars, Harry Potter 1-4, Harry Potter 1-5

I haven’t played lego games in a while, but I looked at a review of the skywalker saga, and from what I saw in it, that game aint it.
From what I understood it has basically no interesting abilities for the characters, most of the boss fights are repetitive, the amount of levels is lacking, the levels that are in the game lack the signature Lego Game silliness, the levels are padded out with tedious minigames while having only basically one type of puzzle(that being “put in/take out the energy thing to/of the other energy thing”), all the actual puzzles are in the open world(tho apparently those are kinda mediocre as well), most of the game takes place in the open world, where the game just makes you walk around and do side quests, the flying in space can be tedious because of smuggler missions(whatever those are), the amount of collectibles(I think it was some sort of jedi related lego brick) has increased by five times, with somewhere around a thousand special jedi bricks to collect so you can unlock characters or something, the vehicle missions absolutely suck aside from like one or two?, and finally, my personal bias and taste being taken into account, the game has the three terrible star wars sequel trilogy movies included in it.
So for now I strongly disagree with your opinion about the Skywalker Saga game.
Edit: forgot to mention that apparently the game has no character customization. What the hell? That was one of the best parts of a lego game!
Well it is my opinion and I just felt like the adaptation of the movies it’s based on was really good, I chuckled during my playthrough many times and yes boss fights might have been repetitive so if I were to compare it to other games it wouldn’t be so high but compareing it to Lego games it’s deffenetly not on the same level as Lego Movie 2 the video game.

A or B tier, for the sake of the quality put into it, but it isn’t a lego game to me, from what I’ve seen of it.
From what I’ve seen of its footage, it’s more of a Star Wars game with a Lego aesthetic.
Yeah don't bother with Skywalker Saga. It might have 5x the amount of collectibles as The Complete Saga but it probably has about 1/5th of the diversity in terms of gameplay and puzzles. It's just doing the same boring mundane tasks over and over, with long waiting times inbetween because it takes ages to traverse the map.
Seeing LEGO City with an F in the thumbnail was so triggering lmao. Top 3 of All time/ if i could only play 3 easily the following.

B. Harry Potter 1-4, Harry Potter 5-7, LOTR, Avengers, ST TFA and Lego Ninjago Movie.
C. The Skywalker Saga (Humour is hilarious but TCS has better Co-op), Beyond Gotham and Marvel Superheroes 2 (Character Rosters great but levels and hub world's atrocious). All the DS Ports.
D. Indiana Jones Adventure Continues (Hub world was interesting but the original game/1-3 is a lot better) The Hobbit (It was never completed and when i was younger i really hoped they'd do 5 armies as a DLC, and i hated the LEGO MOVIE mechanics) The Lego Movie The Videogame, just watch the movie instead, i find it very boring to play.
E. Dimensions, OVERALL COST/EXPENSIVE NATURAL TO OWN AND PLAY EVERYTHING, takes away a lot of my liking of this game but the IPs they managed to get makes it a 8/10 but on principle it has to rank far lower it's DLC extortionate.
F. Incredibles i love the movies and would rather just play them, plus Marvel and DC are better superhero games. Lego Movie 2, Lego Worlds I'd rather play with LEGO IRL or just play Minecraft.
Indiana jones was also my first lego game!

My friend, these are definitely not ALL the Lego games, quite a few of them are missing. Lego Racers, Lego Island, Lego Rock Raiders etc. just to name a few.

I put lego batman 3 on f tier because tt games made a bad choice on the voice acting and ithe 1960’s batman is amazing but just wished it was a hub world that would be even better. lego dimensions on s tier which is amazing and fantastic because of the hub world and dr who which is amazing and cool. And I found out just recently Warner Brothers is part of the video game work strike and that’s why lego batman 3 beyond Gotham is now woke because of the voice actors and if I had to choose which is the worst of the worst lego video game of all it would be lego batman 3 because it is owned by Warner brothers and they had troy baker that’s part of batman and he was also in the crew as Alex Taylor and I know tons of voice actors from the video game strike including Warner brothers and I know tt games aka travler’s tales will have to pay the price for what Warner brothers have done for Warner brothers for these voice actors from the video game woke strike.
