Ranking Pixar sequels and prequels: All the sequels to Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3 and Toy Story 4 are all good as gold and incredible, no doubt about it but I have mixed opinions on Lightyear and what Toy Story 5 will be like. The prequel to Monsters’ Inc., Monsters University is perfectly good explores Mike and Sulley’s relationship and character arcs before the first Monsters’ Inc. movie perfectly. The sequel to Finding Nemo, Finding Dory is an incredible and unforgettable sequel. The sequel to The Incredibles, The Incredibles 2 is awesome and perfect though it could have done better. The sequel to Cars, Cars 2 is great despite Mater acting slightly out of character in the film, Cars 3 on the other hand is even better! The sequel to Inside Out, Inside Out 2 is awesome and superior to the first Inside Out movie!
The reason why Doc isn’t in Cars 2 and 3 is because the actor who played Doc, Paul Newman died in 2008 and we already knows this because at the beginning of Cars 2, Mater says “Doc would’ve been real proud of ya. That’s for sure.”
Fun fact The reason these videos take forever to come out is A. Chaze has to watch all of the movies B. Almost every frame is edited or has an edit in it
I will point out, though, that Marlin overcoming his trauma throughout Finding Nemo was one of the most unflinching and raw character arcs I've seen in an animated film. It's also oddly rare that the one overcoming trauma is a middle-aged adult.
The incredibles has become my all time favourite, it use to creep me out a bit as a kid but the older I get the more I love it, close second is definitely monster inc!
interesting fact: inside out was in development for over 2 years, because the animators and story writers wanted it to be as realistic as possible, they met with a lot of psychiatrists so they could get an idea of what exactly happens to us when we feel something, how we react to it, etc.
Inside out is one of my favourite movies of all time, it's in my top 5. It might be because I relate to Riley and that I went through a similar situation like her. The message of the movie that being sad isn't a bad thing and is in a way essential for us to be happy, really speaks to me at an emotional level in more ways than one. I was always told to not be sad and to be happy all the time so I always hid my emotions and bottle them up which really messed me up later on in life. I also interpret this message in linking it to expectations, I was always expected to do well in school as I am "the smart one" in my family which created pressure and stress whenever I was struggling with something.
@@annoyingisheep574 this is a kids movie, they're not going to include all 27+ emotions adult humans have that'd be too many plus most of them wouldn't even be on screen for more than a few seconds.

Fun fact! Keanu Reeves is the voice actor for Shadow the Hedgehog in the new Sonic 3 Movie coming December 20, 2024. Chaze, you have to admit that movie would be top tier for sure!
I do agree Toy Story 4 being the weakest, but I feel like Woody becoming a lost toy has crucial for his story arc. All 3 movies he wanted to make sure his kid was happy, and after Andy left and Bonnie didn't need him anymore, instead of being neglected by Bonnie forever, he chose to become a lost toy and bring happiness to other children. It made story-line sense and why it is a good ending in my opinion.
Yeah Toy Story 4 is definitely the weakest one. I found the ending kind of dissapointing but at the same time I feel like it was the right call for Pixar to make ig, I just heavily disliked a lot of the characters in the movie especially sporky.
I’m sorry when was it implied what he does with Bo Peep when he leaves all his friends in the terrible ending? Also when he was in the closet the clock toy says Woody wasn’t played with for 3 days, THREE, out of 2 years of being lovingly played with Bonnie. When he spent way longer in a toy box in Andy’s house. Also that argument is made worse by the fact that Bonnie plays with Woody IN THIS MOVIE during the RV scene when he has to stop fork face from jumping in the trash.

Wall-E is just the greatest Pixar movie which exists. It has fantastic characters, good plot, funny stuff, wholesome scenes and real life problems like climate change and instead of recycling just turning the planet in garbage
Not to mention, the animation is absolutely phenomenal. Probably the best looking pixar movie imo. Its stunning without being photorealistic, its expressive without being too overboard. From a first glance, you could never tell this was made in 2008, it looks like something made around 2016 at the earliest
I watched Coco 3 months after my dad died and bawled. Hector wanting to see Coco right before she died reminded me so much of my dad I just lost it. Brave was a role model and inspiration for me as a kid and Onward being a really sweet story, beautiful and creative world and just a really sad and heartwarming ending Edit:Holy crap- 100 likes?
Brave was a good movie but a bad Pixar production. Onward had some good emotional moments but just lacked charm and was too predictable. The ending with the father was really well handled though, I loved that.

In my opinion, Ratatouille and The Incredibles are Pixar’s Magnum Opuses. Brad Bird did a great job writing them and I think other Pixar movies now should strive to be as good as them.
KFP was released on the same year and yet you'd think it is only a couple years old if you watched it the first time. Same for Wall-E, but it's not as strong
In my opinion I think cars deserves at least an A tier for the emotional scenes like that one scene where they shown doc hudsons past and how he crashed. it really shows a lot of emotion.
17:53 If I remember correctly the reason he confuses Mater for being the spy is because the other agent attached his tracking thing onto Mater when he was in the restroom, and the restroom is where McQueen met francesco in real life.
My main takeaway from Pixar's filmography is that two Cars movies bookended the greatest four-year winning streak a Hollywood production company has ever had

I found the ending kind of dissapointing but at the same time I feel like it was the right call for Pixar to make ig, I just heavily disliked a lot of the characters in the movie especially sporky.
tho to be fair he actually WASN'T neglected by Bonnie but let's not worry about that.
But then that ending gave me a question to ask:
What about the other toys? What if they too were neglected by Bonnie or other future toy owners?
I’m sorry when was it implied what he does with Bo Peep when he leaves all his friends in the terrible ending? Also when he was in the closet the clock toy says Woody wasn’t played with for 3 days, THREE, out of 2 years of being lovingly played with Bonnie. When he spent way longer in a toy box in Andy’s house. Also that argument is made worse by the fact that Bonnie plays with Woody IN THIS MOVIE during the RV scene when he has to stop fork face from jumping in the trash.
The only good thing about toy story 4 is the animation it's clearer than my eyes bro, in some parts in the movie i think it's real

Yeah she did play with him briefly, but still neglected him for most of the movie. It doesn’t make the ending any less questionable though.
@@princessstar512 Especially considering Andy didn't play with him for around a decade in 3, and Woody was still insistent on staying with him.
