    I used to live in Colerain Township before I moved to Naples Florida. It wasn’t bad but recently I visited and the area has declined. Especially near Northgate mall.

    Thank you so very much for saying alot about northern Ky. I grew up in Newport. And I would move there if I moved back. But the only thing I don’t like is there is really no off street parking. But I do like the homes that’s are three or four stories high. Lots of room to move.
    Also Fort Thomas is a great city.

    Highly recommend the Eastgate/Amelia area. Eastgate has been on the up and up. New businesses, many new homes, more home for your money, and still not too far from downtown. Only about 20-30 mins.

    Any thoughts on living just outside the city, like New Palestine or around Woodland Mound? Looking for a rural feel for peace and gardening and nature in the backyard but close to the city for work opportunities.

      Eastgate is pretty good for that and Anderson. Lots of farm areas there with the added benefits of great amenities nearby.

      That's the Booneys nothing to do and you are far from the night life and day life. If you could find a little gem near Coney Island you'd be set. Before you hit Anderson there's a small area of homes tucked up in the hills. It's off a main truck route and an easy connector to downtown and the neighborhood scenes in Oakley and Hyde Park. Also the trailhead by Lunkin Airport that connects to the Little Miami.

      That's going to be tough. Most places are either sketchy with a good nightlife or very safe with practically no nightlife. Your best bet is to live somewhere nice and Uber to a nightlife area when you want it. Cincinnati is very spread out.
      But if you're really desperate for nightlife then Clifton, Over the Rhine, and Northside are good options. Although I would consider Covington and Newport too if you are willing to live in Kentucky.

    Cincinnati is a great place to live. However, redlining is very prevalent in the 21st century. I purchased a home in West Chester, the neighbors were not friendly at first. The classism was apparent until I visited my neighbors home. I decided to allow them to visit my home and they were surprised and shocked, that everything they believed was proven to be inaccurate. I now want to start a RUclips channel to prove (you can't judge a book by the cover)

    Purely from a regional aspect (no insults intended) the dumbest thing that ever happened was putting Cincinnati airport in Kentucky. It absolutely confuses and freaks people out when the pilot announces “we are now ready to land in Kentucky”. Changing the name from The Greater Cincinnati Airport to “CVG” only made things much worse. When it was originally named the GREATER CINCINNATI airport was to encompass Ohio, northern Kentucky, and Southeastern Indiana hence to credit the tristate! Why did they try to fix something that wasn’t broken? No disrespect but the broken part was putting the airport in Kentucky to begin with. From what I recall, the airport was supposed to go in Blue Ash!!

    • @TeamSztanyo
      @TeamSztanyo  3 года назад +6

      It's been CVG as an airport code since it's opening in 1946, because the nearest city was Covington. In 1942, Cincinnati wanted to expand on Lunken, but they didn't because it frequently receives a lot of fog. The three Northern KY counties lobbied Congress to get funds and then built CVG. ... It's now called Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. ... I moved to the area 33 years ago because of the airport. :)
