Hi, i have changed the clutch kit on a egs 508 (valeo) the car is running fine now but sometimes is making a clunk, clunk noise when I switch from N to A, or when shifting from first to second gear and second to first gear. Actiator fluid have been changed with Ravenol Actuator fluid
Add Gear oil treatment 207 mg (ceramic once it's better) and you with hear nothing ....take out 200mg transmission oil in order to add Gear treatment and it's with make no noise after that at all .....use breather for adding and removing under battery and housing
Great video and very well explained, but at the end you mentioned about having to have the correct software for reprograming the actuators if you change the hydraulic fluid. The software and hardware needed is lexia 3 and Diagbox and it also has to be used after fitting a new clutch for realignment of the clutch and bitting point, Did you do that as not mentioned at all in the video ?? otherwise this video is very well explaind keep up the good work. Thanks
Great video, have a C4 with 116k on it , sometimes pulls away fine and other times it judders ,if you floor it it wont judder, Its been like this for 2 years. thinking of a clutch reset ? but unsure this will help .gearbox oil was change about a year ago with MOTUL MOTYLGEAR 75W-80 with no apparent change. Any thoughts
Great video. Did you fit a replacement dual mass flywheel like original? Or upgrade it to the single piece flywheel. I see there are two types when looking on the parts websites and it says they can be converted. I am just making a plan for my 100k c4 cactus in the future as I have started towing a trailer... Sometimes I can smell it if Im too vigorous 😂😂, or if she's driving 😂. I have the diagbox software.
All oe duel mass ect iv seen people struggle with resetting clutch bit points or have issues with bit point on solid mass flywheels these can be real temperamental
Hello. Be kind, tell me please. What to do in such a situation. On a Peugeot 3008, the robot changes gears normally at 1900 or 2100, but then after these numbers it makes 3000 revolutions and shifts the throttle. It’s as if there’s a lost connection somewhere. There are also foams at low speed from 5km to 10km. she sometimes twitches.
@@crankyconrods7417 i have a customer who's got the Peugeot 508 with egs gearbox, i follow all the instructions from Mad4frenchcar channel, (thats the way i discover you 😃) and still not working. Now the customer its worried about spending more money. I told him we should find a donor car and convert it to a manual. Now i am not sure , its the ECU needs to be reprogrammed for a manual gearbox or have nothing to do in order to start the engine. Kind regards.
I’ve got a c4 grand Picasso the actuator is getting empty and oil is dripping by the gearbox, would this be the slave cylinder? Does the actuator oil go threw to slave cylinder?
Depending on what engine you have the dv6 hdi 1.6 is 110nm to 115nm flywheel a around 30nm for clutch plate. But it's best to find out what engine you have as there a little different
@@crankyconrods7417 yes mate, 131k full Citroen service history, I have only just passed my test in an auto, got the car not bad condition etc, but when I pull away it judders, hoping it’s nothing to serious
Sadly it sounds like the clutch is starting to get to the end of its life you could try doing a recalibration on clutch point but I don't think it will help you. I have a c3 1.4 auto but a 5 speed gearbox and that lurches and judders on take off that's 115k miles. When you get a chance put it in manual mode in 4th or 5th in low rpm and floor it if the the rev counter climbs fast but the speed does not you could have a slipping clutch which means it wount have long till it fails if your a little hard on it✌️ hope this makes sense
@@crankyconrods7417 thanks for getting back to me, yes makes sense, I’m going to get my mechanic to plug it into his computer tomorrow, is it easy enough to reset? it doesn’t always judder though, if I give it a certain amount of revs it’s fine, it does through all the other gears fine, is it easy enough to use the manual gears? I don’t even know if they work
Your mechanic would know what to do. But if its behaving other than the odd juddering then I'd leave it alone till it gets worse ✌️ but never hurts to get a second opinion
Perfect thanks so much to share. Lucas Silva from Portugal
Thank You for such a Brilliant instructional video,I found this educational,Once again Thankyou

Thanks matie, how do you know when there is enough oil in it?
Oil level is on the bottle resivoure with a min and max ✌️
Buenos días. Me puedes decir la referencia del Kit Valeo??? Muchas gracias.
How many hours labour is this for a pro mechanic?
Is it not a selfadjusting clutch that needs to be mounted with tool to take the pressure off pressure plate ?
It's just a normal clutch and flywheel
Hi do you know the torque settings for duel mass flywheel 1.6 hdi semi automatic 109 h
Hi, its possible to convert it to a manual gearbox, how difficult its to do it and is it worth it?
Kind regards
Hello and welcome I have thought about that myself I might have to give it a try some time
