Rythmind killed nme in last round then nme showed him now he is in heaven
NME should have started the second round with "You strike me down I shall return more powerful than you can possibly imagine".
My own, personal feelings... NME is an absolutely amazing artist. However, this choice in a final round was too "soft" I suppose. Almost as if he is accepting defeat. I absolutely agree with you BreZ. It was an amazing piece of art, just improperly placed in a battle sense. I would almost see this as an amazing elim round. Especially if it is elaborated on. The atmosphere of it is so good.
Interesting. I see it much different, as opposed to accepting defeat but instead showing he doesn't need a "hard" song to fucking own it. I personally think NME killed it. I think he knew he wouldn't win when he chose to do his second round but it was just to kind of shit on him lol
He should have started with "I you strike me down I will return more powerful than you can possibly imagine"
"Accepting defeat" is a bad taste of words, I think he tried to do something out of the box, he tried to show that you don't need to have a hard drop or a groovy synth to have an amazing performance. I absolutely loved what nme did in the final round.
@@deBrawnyo This is why I said "almost as if" before. Was never fully saying he was accepting defeat.. but it certainly didn't feel like a strong round to use in the finals. ESPECIALLY vs such a strong opponent.
I call that the Surrender Track. Where the looper just whatever they or just has fun. MB14’s second round against Saro as an Example.

In my opinion NME's courage to bring such an original round as the last round in the GBB Final was just amazing.
For me this second round is also the reason why i come back to this video and hear it all over again.
The battle ended as close as possible, but for me NME slightly won.
But both are great artists in their own way, like also all other participants.
So keep up the great work!

Nme is my favourite looper but to be honest your battle againts him was the closest one i have ever witnessed. From the one side a musicality on its best on the other hip hop on its best. I wanted to see more of you in the gbb19 but I hope that gbb 21 will happen on stage and we all can see you again

I'm not deep into beatboxing but just found your battle with NME the other night and thought you were unbelievably good, this was so dope to see you break this down too. Much love my man, your style of beatboxing with the rap and the intricate bass beats are right in my wheelhouse as a non-beatboxer, just sounds great dude and the way you command the stage when you do your thing. Cheers. This was such a great battle as well.
Watching this from a battle perspective, Rythmind won clearly for me. But NME has insane Musicality, and is extremely skilled in what he does, and he shows that he is able to combine musicality and a battle drop in his first round. But the second round was purely musicality and I don’t think that it fits in a GBB. If it would’ve been some kind of Loopstation-Musicality battle, NME would’ve won clearly.

Rythmind is close to flawless in his technique and transitions. NME is brilliant with melodies and such but I feel some times his sounds are unbalanced (eq) and the way he transitions feels a little raw. Also that's way I feel you should've won against him, although it was very close.

I just recently started watching beatboxing videos: This was one of the first loopstations I saw. I'm not familiar with the song he performed and I could tell the audience fucked up lol
Definitely a big risk for NME in that last round, but I think its a round noone else will forget and cemented him as a true legend of GBB-loopstation. You can compare drops from different rounds and different years but that was so unique that you cant really compare anything to it and therefore stands on its own proudly.
