- We try out the projector/whiteboard combo as Yay Math takes on absolute value equations! We investigate "bifurcating" (which sounds like when mathematicians end a relationship) and also situations when there's no solution. Enjoy the magically scrolling screen, YAY MATH!

Robert, I used your videos in highschool to survive algebra, geometry, trig and pre-calc. I am 7 years out of highschool and just now going to college, I come back yet again and you never fail me. Thanks for being a great teacher, helping me graduate highschool and review for college! Yay Math!
im an 8th grader this year, i got a bad test grade, looked up videos, and voilah. you sir are an excellent teacher.
Haha, an eighth grader and a college student (who happens to work in a school cafeteria where I feed eighth graders) are watching the same lesson. Only I didn't find it from looking it up, it was part of my course. :-)
Thank you so much! I'm taking the CBE in two weeks and reviews are killing me. Your videos make it so easy to learn and enjoy myself. YAY MATH!
Hi, so sorry the side cut out. It's because it's (1/2)x, so you need to multiply 2 to cancel the 1/2. Thanks for checking about it!
thank you sooo much for all your videos, i can't even begin to express how much you've helped me! my algebra 1 teacher never even taught us how to bifurcate and a few other things on your channel which have been nice to learn now that i am in algebra 2!!!
The fact that you laugh at it makes him a good comedian.
If you understand absolute values now, then he is a good teacher.
humor???? anndddd math??? omg lol I LOVE IT!!! (dolphin clap) bravo!
You may have just saved my grade in A2. My teacher cant teach to save his life and makes impossible tests. Glad to see someone actually teach for once!
I thought it was awesome! Got the link from my professor and it was great =) Thanks and keep posting!
YOU HELPED ME OUT SOOOOOOOO MUCH, THAAAANK YOUUUUUUU!
im a 8th grader laughing at this... thats when you know you are a good teacher. :)
thanks for refreshing my memory i did't remember this stuff since we learned it in begging of the year.
I have a question. How did you comment this 11 years ago if the video was posed 10 years ago? Also how is life going now all these years later?
Who else is here from EZPZ Homeschool? I'm in 10th grade Algebra 2 at the moment. Yay math has helped me so much, everytime I am told to watch these videos I get happy that math will be easy today xD.
What an honor to know. Thank you for sharing this kind and positive feedback. I love Easy Peasy! Please say hi to Lee for me.
@@yaymath OH MY GOODNESS YOU REPLIED?!?! I have to admit I am in shock.
Thank you for taking the time all these years later to still reply to these comments. Your videos help SO MUCH!
I really like Mrs. Lee’s work, and she choses very good videos to link us to. Thank you so much again!
I'm marathoning your videos and you will help me pass regents! Thank you so much!
I think your an awesome teacher making it fun for your students too learn =)
Thank you!
Thank you so much!!! you are helping me so much!!!
with your videos you are going to help me pass my eoc!!!
I just had ooooooo moment lol thank you !!!
How can I know when to add/subtract or multiply? Like in the second to the last example which is absolute value of 1/2 x - 1 equals two. The first equation was solved by just adding one to both sides but the second equation was solved by multiplying two. I tried using the add/subtract method and came up with different result. :3
-Jah, a yaymath fan from Philippines.
loved the awkward ending lol
like your still of teaching, you really make easy to learn,
To solve for x, you would subtract 6 from 18. That equals 12. :)
He makes it a lot easier to understand
Here in 2020
Here in 2023 😂
On the last problem it was confusing with the fraction 1/2 I changed it to a decimal and got x=8 when it was positive and when it was negative I got x= -1 so can I change the fraction to a decimal and solve it and if I can't then why can't I? And yes I did bifurcate..
If there is no answer for |x-3|=-5 Wy when we solve |x-3|=5 we solve it by using negative five ?
why did you multiply by 2 in 15:16
I got extremely confused in the beginning
so confused how did he get 12 on the first one ?
Wouldn't X=6 in 3(x+6)=36
LOL I like your SpongeBob picture. Its really, FUNNY
?
Bruh Idk 3 exams when I wrote this comment, so thats probably why it didn't make any sense😂😂 @eugene Ivanov
the boys question confused me -.-
how i can solve that
5x-2\x\=21
with engish
Love u
Too bad you don't have the videos organized with playlists. I was shocked to see there aren't any. It's just so basic youtube stuff.
Ciprian Hanga if you go to yaymath.org they have an area where the math is divided into areas (radicals, algebra 1 etc.) under the videos tab and on the page you can click "view this playlist on RUclips" so that you can watch the playlists!
+jewels mesa thanks!
NOPE, way to fast. I was lost when he brought 18 into it.
Awkward as heck
