Thanks so much for doing what you do! I will be taking Math 141 this semester. I'm an older college student, I have had college algebra before, but it was a summer session which was bad. The professor gave us so much information so fast it was hard to keep up with everything. This time I just want to be more ready for math. Anyways, you are very helpful at helping to reduce my fear of math:-) I know right it is just numbers, but if you don't know or not sure what you are doing....Then you end up with math anxiety lol. Thank you again!
Doing brush up for a college placement test in math. when I pass I will have skipped two remedial math courses at $115 per credit hour... so after tax you're saving me $750 (+-). Thank you. -Andrew.
I want to do the quizzes on the site, but it keeps asking me for an access code :( Does anyone know it by any chance, and is it the same for every quiz, because I really wanna see how well I learned the topic
how would i find the cordinates of last point in triangle if i have point A ( 0,0 ) and point B ( 0,8 ) and i know from A to unknown point C is 4 cm and from A to B is 8 cm
onlylikeacruzancan I think it's supposed to be like that so you feel as if you are in a real classroom setting. I feel this is what differentiates yaymath from other math videos. Especially when he interacts with the students and answers their questions, because that could be a question that someone viewing the video could have. I absolutely love yaymath!
Why did you bother foiling the (a-4)^2? Why not just square both sides and get rid of the square root here? The equation then turns into: 25 = (a-4)^2 + (7-3)^2 25 = (a-4)^2 + 16 simplify 9 = (a-4)^2 subtract 16 from both sides 3 = a-4 or -3 = a-4 square root both sides remembering that everything has 2 square roots 7 = a or 1 = a add 4 to both sides No need to foil. No need to factor. Fewer steps.
I feel for these kids when they go to college, it will be rush rush, no questions and no time to write it down! I would suggest to them to only write the key things down, like points of interest of what is being taught, it will give them more time to listen and understand the professor! I see some people tying to write down everything that the professor says or puts on the board and they learn nothing, my way you get to watch the whole lesson and since you took little notes you can go back after class and study those topics on your own using what you learned in the class! xD
It is ALWAYS BEST to DIFFERENTIATE instruction for those learners that may need to complete each step. Example: One should stick to procedure when baking a cake. Meaning, you would not skip a step.
He is the best math teacher that i have seen. I have an entrance exam coming up and i just wanted to review some content. You are the real M.V.P
This has been so so helpful. Stayed up all night and glad i found this.
He is the best math teacher, ever. Wish my math teacher was this cool. He preps before class, that is it. Assertive when needed.

-Andrew.
Hes cool and chill, He jokes a lot unlike other teachers that are serious as fuck and not explaining as much as he does.
Teacher to teacher love. I love your patience..awesome lesson!
I did not understand the missing coordinate ( the last part of the vedio) 🤔😧
Shouldn't y2 be 3, not 7? in the example with the variable a? 3-7=4 rather than 7-3=4. Doesn't matter in this equation though.
the square after that makes it correct both ways, I guess that's what he meant by you can exchange x1 and x2
i wish this was my teacher
You are an amazing teacher!!!
he's the best.
You are wonderful math teacher
at 13; 39 if it is (a-4)^2 then it should be (3-7)^2 instead of (7-3)^2
I also think he made a mistake there
Quick question, why in the second example is the answer 3 root 2, and not 2 root 3?
where do you teach (state)
I want to do the quizzes on the site, but it keeps asking me for an access code :( Does anyone know it by any chance, and is it the same for every quiz, because I really wanna see how well I learned the topic
Hi Abdinasir! Thanks for asking. The access codes are right in the line above the quiz.
how would i find the cordinates of last point in triangle if i have point A ( 0,0 ) and point B ( 0,8 ) and i know from A to unknown point C is 4 cm and from A to B is 8 cm
The examples are great just a lot of noise and yelling in the background. If you can filter out the extra stuff, the video works as a great resource.

YEEESSSSSS! I agree
He helps a lot at explaining problems
what did the kid say at the end in the other language anyone know?

They've probably had lessons before this recorded one, I think often these videos are just recapping their previous leasons
God Bless you !!!
Amen
Great funny Teacher . I like you sir😍
Anyone from 2019?
SWEET!
Thanks. 👍❤️😘
One... Two... Three... YAYMATH !!!
this dude is crazy
thanks for sharing =)
I don't understand the last paaaaaart. I'll be here tomorrow
I'm from Somalia I can't imagine what kind person he is
@ 17:58 there's a mistake !! it should be (a-7)(a+1)???????
It's not a mistake. To get a, transpose -7 to the other side. Thus, (a-7) makes a=7. Same with (a-1).
what grade is this?
algebra isn't a grade it just depends in what grade you take it some people take it in 8th, 7th or even 9th
+Emily Moreno about 3rd.
badlandskid 8th or 9th
