Thanks man! Just bought a 28-135 is and a 70-300 DO lens on sale, waiting for them to arrive, tho i already own a 28-105 but i just want a little more reach to 135 so i dont need to sawp lens just for that little more+image stablize and i am pretty sure i wont be regreted after this vid. btw I thought this is a 9 or 10 years old vid till I saw the comments time😆 It's pretty rare to have a decent and new review on these lens like this video these days.
Thank you for watching, please drop another comment after you’ve worked with that 70-300 DO, because that’s one of the lenses I’ve looked at in the past.
Thank you, of the six or seven lenses I’ve tested. A couple of them were just terrible. It would have been extremely disappointing to have purchased them new when they came out and have them perform that way. Some though, are great values today.
Another great detailed review, RGO. I have had my eye on the 28-105, as a local 2nd hand store here has one for sale (and I missed out on the 28-135 is). After your valuable information, I think I will stick with my 28-80 OG and then use my EF 35-135 usm until I can find an ef 70-210. Thank you again!
Thank you, I appreciate you watching. Keep your eye out for that 28-135 IS USM, I just tested it at 80 and 105 against an L lens...it did great at those focal lengths and for a third of the price.
@@rgophoto Thank you for that recommendation. I will for sure keep an eye out for it. I really want to try it for video & vlogging v.s. My EF-M 18-55. Wish me luck!
Potentially, yes. The apsc camera/sensor will use the center area of the lens, which is usually the best area. If the center is sharp on a full frame camera, but the outer edges and corners are not very sharp, those lenses tend to do well on the APC cameras because that part of the image doesn’t get picked up by the smaller sensor. I hope I explained that clearly enough.

Great comparison of these older lenses

If you are on a very tight budget, would you recommend it in an apsc camera such as 50d? Thank you!
