Opera browser was better in the past, now it's no different than any other Chrome browser with a different coat of paint and some different server linking.
there is a setting to get your Kerbins to follow the camera orientation, I'd have to guess you accidentally knocked it off while doing some of the other settings for mods or something. I actually like to have the camera work that way during EVAs, find it easier to control the camera separately from Jebbers movement.
I can imagine Bill having a huge bag full of nothing but quarters to keep pumping into the coin slot on the side every time the engines started to run out of delta V 🤣
I could imagine this as being a ship that Bill designed and built himself. Everyone else at the KSP was telling him that he'll just die if he tries to use it but he launched anyway and they were all "Good, he's gone. Back to ACTUAL space missions." Then a couple of days later he comes back and they're all "Oh god he's back. He's going to be insufferable. Quick, lock the doors and pretend there's no one here."
Hey Matt, here's a trick to get your cargo bay doors to open more widely: Rather than use the "deploy" button to open / close them, always leave them deployed to their maximum angle, and use "deploy direction" to open / close them. That way you'll switch between -30 degrees deployment to +30 degrees deployment, meaning your effective opening angle doubles.
Just a side note.. To be more efficient, always use up the least efficient fuels first before using the more efficient fuels. That way your craft will be lighter when using the less powerful engines and you will have more deltaV.
I believe the Titan IV also air-lit its core stage and only used its solid boosters as well, fitting since the shuttle's "main engine" seems to be based on the Titan engine
Kerbal rotation. i think when You click and drag your kerbal it will lock rotation. Same when You switch camera follow modes (v). Tapping space usually 're-center' it. IIRC switching camera mode to follow is one You need.
Wake up babe! New Matt Lowne video dropped! (Merry Christmas thanks for the content this year, wishing for new planet coaster series. Although no pressure because those videos do sort of under preform)
I probably would have used wing segments or control surfaces for the underside of the craft rather than grip plates, as they would increase the craft's wing area.
The Titan III and IVs also didn't light their core stages on liftoff. It's why they were great for the Voyagers and Viking prior to the advent of the next-generation Atlas II and V.
6:50 I'm pretty sure Titan IIIC, Titan IIID, and the Titan IIIE worked like that 12:49 I think that's a problem with free IVA that can be fixed by pressing c
Even more notably though, the Titan rockets that had SRBs all launched like that too. Where at launch the boosters were ignited only and once they just started to flame out the main engine would ignite and the boosters would separate.
'Like barn doors, you know, with a door on both sides. I don't know what that is called.' Double doors. Single door is just one door for a portal. Not sure if 3 doors for an opening would be triple doors, as that isn't very common.
I love how you were accurate by making the shuttle go backwards during take off. In almost every movie, video, show ect they make the shuttle on top which isn’t accurate
Someday I have to build my Double Shuttle Station. Basically I can't ever get the center of thrust to go anywhere near through the center of mass on my shuttle builds... so launch 2 shuttles at once, belly-tank-belly, dock them together to boost to final low orbit and intercept with a station. Then drain all but reentry fuel for the station replacement crew, transferring all to the other shuttle ao it can do Higher Orbit/Interplanetary Shenanigans.
13:00 yeah I had this happen before, it was some weird keybinding that changed how they controlled. I have no idea what that binding was though or why it even exists
I'm not a huge Space Shuttle fanboy, I like it but not that much, but I love microshuttles more than any other tiny spacecraft! :D And this one's got an ion engine! I wonder where it's going. Yay for bringing peace to the world! 😂I wish I could do that with the foustanela. Greeks and Albanians both claim it as their own traditional clothing, and I've actually seen some Albanians online seeming to be actually angry with the Greeks over this. I've heard this is a real-life attitude and the converse is true too, Each side claims it and doesn't want the other to have it. I want to say to them, "My friends, my friends, why do you want to fight over this? The _first_ historical record of the foustanela is when Greeks and Albanians fought _together_ against _oppression!"_ "Living in bliss," not knowing what's coming... I had a bike ride like that in October. Got so tired, I had a struggle to get myself home. 😵It turned out I was coming down with something. It was the last nice day before a long cold rainy spell, so I'm glad I went. I once had a kerbal fail to turn around like that. It didn't hurt what I was doing very much, but I can see how it could. Rarely-occuring bugs are the worst for developers, anyhow. The satellite is a geodesic sphere mapping geodesy. Okay! 😂 I miss the Odyssey by Bill, too. But I thought when I saw the antenna that you had a probe core on board. Bill must have fitted the antenna so he wouldn't miss his favourite livestreams. Silly Bill. At least he was using Kopera. It looked remarkably cool in the first aerobrake, like a proper big-boys shuttle. ;) The descent and landing were exciting! 😄Don't often see anything quite like that.
Yeah, the Kraken has been holding my Kerbals in a particular orientation once. I don't remember the version, I don't remember what I did to remedy the absolutely intolerable situation (I think I was trying to build a space station on orbit), but it's nice to see that that particular Kraken is alive and doing well...
That EVA glitch happened to me once before, but he ended up facing down relative to my craft and was ridiculously hard to control. Had to use shift to move forward, etc.
cool! i love making the smallest possible functional crafts. if i had to guess, id say the 4 elevons you used to make the cargo bay being mounted sideways was part of this thing not flying well. just my gut feeling
I’ve had issues like that kerbal rotation issue before. SAS is supposed to lock your kerbal to your view angle, but I think because you enabled rcs before sas, it did not update the kerbal’s mode of control.
Funny I always thought Matt had done one then I realized he hadn’t… they are charming and fun to build for sure! On that open air ascent…. Bill Kerman has balls of steel 😅
Xenon fuel and electricity. not sure if KSP have this but in theory Xenon could be produced during nuclear fission, one used to generate electricity. Theoretical appliances of Ion engine are considered with nuclear power plant, so XE is actual infinite.
I have a Challenge. Can you make a Micro Shuttle that can go from Orbit to the Surface of Planets or Moons, refuel and go back into Orbit to the Main Ship that can bring it there?
Happy Holidays Matt! I have had some similar issues with my kerbals not able to go a certain direction during EVA or they're just glitchy in general walking on the mun, which led me to docking my "mun truck" and lander then transferring everyone instead.
12:40 Ive always had this problem happen to me on the console gamemode of ksp! It fixes itself if all you finagle with the SAS toggle or reload a quicksave.
I wish mechanical arms would be easier to make in ksp They either produce to much momentum and your craft spins violently or making one with multiple hinges that don't require manual control of each hinge and rotor element by using the pop up window of the part
Actually (damn that sounds like smart assery now) the Titan IIIC Also started the "Main" engines only 5 or so seconds before SRB burnout, soooo I guess you didn't say anything wrong, and I am just your average internet troll... Whatever, love the KSP content!
Download Opera for free using opr.as/10-Opera-browser-mattlowne
Ok
the fuck you mean micro shuttle?
thats a perfectly sized shuttle
Opera is essentially spyware and has been for a long time. Many companies disallow using it because it’s a security risk.
Opera browser was better in the past, now it's no different than any other Chrome browser with a different coat of paint and some different server linking.

What do you mean micro? That’s a perfectly average sized shuttle
M8 wdym that thing is MASSIVE
That’s well above average.
I know right
So true
looks small to me, call it a pocket rocket
The shuttle looks like those kiddie rides you find in shopping malls
Kerbals take inspiration where they can find them 😅
I can imagine Bill having a huge bag full of nothing but quarters to keep pumping into the coin slot on the side every time the engines started to run out of delta V 🤣

Yeah, that's what I'd do.

The year is 3157. Historians conclude that the worldwide outbreak of peace upon all people and nations traced back to this video.
I believe the Titan IV also air-lit its core stage and only used its solid boosters as well, fitting since the shuttle's "main engine" seems to be based on the Titan engine
Yeah, Titan III also did that.
Dessert launch site? Not the desert launch site? Guess those kerbals really do like ice cream
It's spelled Dessert in-game lol
I didnt know that @@MattLowne
Me neither... TIL
I want to build a -base- settlement there with cafes and restaurants and call it the Desert Lunch Complex.
i didnt ask "why is he not using all of his engines on liftoff?" because i always trust matt no matter what matt does
Kerbal rotation. i think when You click and drag your kerbal it will lock rotation. Same when You switch camera follow modes (v).
Tapping space usually 're-center' it. IIRC switching camera mode to follow is one You need.
Ooh it could be! It works like that in other games, though sometimes it's Esc to recenter.
You should make a tiny space station using the tiny shuttle
Wake up babe! New Matt Lowne video dropped!

I probably would have used wing segments or control surfaces for the underside of the craft rather than grip plates, as they would increase the craft's wing area.
one of your cleanest designs. your translate/rotate work is exquisite after all these years
So uh, when picoshuttle?
Planck shuttle?
That's the realm of Bradley Whistance
I'm going to quote a famous sentence from an equally famous game:
"For a brick, he flew pretty good."
"I don't know if 'safely' is an appropriate word when describing this flight..." I just about spit out my drink on that one.
7:50 our Christmas present from matt is world peace. Dam thats a big one
The Titan III and IVs also didn't light their core stages on liftoff. It's why they were great for the Voyagers and Viking prior to the advent of the next-generation Atlas II and V.
6:50
I'm pretty sure Titan IIIC, Titan IIID, and the Titan IIIE worked like that
12:49 I think that's a problem with free IVA that can be fixed by pressing c
I don't have free IVA installed and it's broken too
21:10 That certainly qualifies as a steep approach landing.
Even more notably though, the Titan rockets that had SRBs all launched like that too. Where at launch the boosters were ignited only and once they just started to flame out the main engine would ignite and the boosters would separate.
21:12 A perfectly normal glide slope of -60.
'Like barn doors, you know, with a door on both sides. I don't know what that is called.'

I had the situation when my Kerbal was hard to control. Very bad when you have a giant space station with rings that bonk you.
I think turning on SAS on a kerbal makes them point with the camera, but I'm not sure.
Bill is just chilling while the air around him is on fire. I love it!
*The space shonk*
i wish there were a visual mod that made the mun's terminator line more solid
Hi how’s your day going?
Hope you all have a good Christmas
thx
' Have you guys ever had this happen? ' What a bug in KSP? Yes Matt, yes we have.
You know it’s finna be a good day when Matt uploads
Reminds me of the Reliant Robbin space shuttle from top gear
An excellent little shuttle, almost the size of a shot glass. A perfect segway to this wheek's whiskey revhiew.... ah yesh, knob creek, boyz.
The Titan-III Centaur also lit the main engines after booster burnout.
Fun Fact Mark 3 Engines Vikas which based on Viking engines and CE-20 based on unknown Soviat cryogenic engine
18:10 the humans are spying on kerbals!!!
The landing at 2:30 pretty much sums up my ksp gameplay
13:00 yeah I had this happen before, it was some weird keybinding that changed how they controlled. I have no idea what that binding was though or why it even exists
4:48 Matt I must say very good music taste
But Matt! You DID build a micro shuttle in the past!! *A Thousand Miles starts playing*
Hahaha! You could call that a micro shuttle, I guess!
I'm not a huge Space Shuttle fanboy, I like it but not that much, but I love microshuttles more than any other tiny spacecraft! :D And this one's got an ion engine! I wonder where it's going.

Press V
Iirc there's a strafe mode for EVA so you probably tapped the toggle key by accident.
that thing where Bill doesn't turn around is a common occurrence on "Enhanced" Edition.
2:29 i almost spit my drink
8:00 it is the time of peace and good will towards men. Merry (early) Christmas!
That EVA glitch happened to me once before, but he ended up facing down relative to my craft and was ridiculously hard to control. Had to use shift to move forward, etc.

if i had to guess, id say the 4 elevons you used to make the cargo bay being mounted sideways was part of this thing not flying well. just my gut feeling
if your kerbal keeps pointing in the same direction try pressing T to enable SAS
SAS in EVA mode tryes to follow the camera
He had SAS on
I’ve had issues like that kerbal rotation issue before. SAS is supposed to lock your kerbal to your view angle, but I think because you enabled rcs before sas, it did not update the kerbal’s mode of control.
2:26 this was hilarious to watch
thank you for helping me land on the moon! You are a legend of KSP.
“This is fine” -bill the entire time
I’ve had that problem on Eva at 12:52 you just have to turn on sas mode and it should fix itself
12:45 this glitch happens to me almost every time I do a spacewalk, but saying that I do play on console with the enhanced edition 😅
Funny I always thought Matt had done one then I realized he hadn’t… they are charming and fun to build for sure! On that open air ascent…. Bill Kerman has balls of steel 😅
The first time I ever tried one of these was KSP2. I think it ruined it for me.
7:00 also the Titan 3 and 3E
im sure the shuttle has a great personality, though
Titan III-IV would use the SRBs to take off as well. Your rocket was more similar as it used an LR87.
you forget Titan III and Titan IV. They lit SRB first and then lit the main engines before SRB sep
I’m supposed to be asleep but seeing mini shuttles is more important
I need one of these!
Looks like a titan 3, but instead of having the X-20 Dyna-Soar on top, it's stuck on the side
7:25 if the rocket was more realistic, it would be upsidedown like the actual space shuttle
He said the rocket wasn't built to do that.
Idk what causes it but you can hold space to have the kerbal constantly look the same direction as the camera
Happy Holidays Matt! I have had some similar issues with my kerbals not able to go a certain direction during EVA or they're just glitchy in general walking on the mun, which led me to docking my "mun truck" and lander then transferring everyone instead.
Cheers for Engineers! Happy Holidays Matt!
I frequently stage main engines to go after the SRBs blow off. It gives you more dv
Bill Kerman I think is the one named after my brother. If not, I don't which one would be, but while he is an engineer, my brother is not stupid! lol
Generally it is a good idea to use up your chemical rocket fuel first before switching to your ion engines.
What mod do you use for the gui?
12:40 Ive always had this problem happen to me on the console gamemode of ksp! It fixes itself if all you finagle with the SAS toggle or reload a quicksave.
I wish mechanical arms would be easier to make in ksp
They either produce to much momentum and your craft spins violently or making one with multiple hinges that don't require manual control of each hinge and rotor element by using the pop up window of the part
For a brick, he flew pretty good!
Thrilled for 2025 Matt!
Also, merry Christmas guys
I've been subscribed to you for a long time. And also you inspired me to play ksp
We got Matt Lowne with mods before gta 6
That issue with the space walk may have something to do with the camera setting.
12:52 you had SAS disabled that's why he wouldn't spin
Merry Christmas Everyone!
Why not make a new years countdown in ksp
🎉
always a good day when matt posts
12:44 have you ever tried eva'ing in the ps4 version of the game? you usually have either that happen or they also spin uncontrollably
7:53 !!! he want's to bring piss to the world
Idk why, but your channel just gives S-teir vibes❤❤
It probably has a great personality.
11:47 might have to do with SAS
Actually (damn that sounds like smart assery now) the Titan IIIC Also started the "Main" engines only 5 or so seconds before SRB burnout, soooo I guess you didn't say anything wrong, and I am just your average internet troll... Whatever, love the KSP content!
He is Bill Kerman
that shuttle is not MASSIVE, it looked so cool as the KSC FADEd away as you climbed in altitude! IMAGINE if you took that shuttle to minmus!
6:55 whats funny is that Titan-III and IV also did the same thing and you are using the titan engines, weird that you brought up the Indian LVM3
I hope you have a great day matt!
I have had the Kerbel problem happen to me even with no mods
