Oh man, it has plenty of power and it sounds so smooth! Great combo. Especially with less of a chance of bending the motor mount using the shorter can.
A man and his „Profession“( it’s much more than a hobby, right?) … My Heart laughs to see how you‘re always happy, Joe. 👍👍👍😎 About this motor: it seems to be the best choice for this RC car. Not too much for the tires, Not too much for the powertrain ( bigger motors? Forget it! Only spinning wheels, Not grip, no speed, less control)…Have a nice day on the exoplex!!!
I just installed the new max 5 g2 mount from you guys and it's great! Im hoping you guys will eventually make some xrt cvd/dogbones. I've been having to order them from gpm in China 😔
Looking at this motor for my Xmaxx. I already have a max 6 but thinking I should bump up to the max5. Also noticing most people are not running motor fans. Are they not needed?
Awesome run man, I'm definitely looking into this 5690 motor for both my X-Maxx 8s and my new never been run Outcast 8s EXB V1 someday. I hope Hobbywing comes out with a G2 Max 6 and an updated 1,650KV or what ever KV it will be but this time a full 8s motor.
You were never gonna get a speed run without blowing the tires off. Traxxas is apparently running out of glue because most tires have little to none in some places. Better chance of winning lotto vs getting 4 well glued on an XRT these days.
Man that thing hauls the mail! nice!! i'm looking to run the same motor and esc set up, what motor mount are you running? thank you for the useful content.
What weight diff fluids would you recommend?? For speed bashing/track and for general bashing and tricks (if there's a different preference). Thanks for another awesome video! Love the content brother 🍻
The way that lands in the back corner. Would it be worth making into a berm so you can full send it round the corner and blast it down the home straight?
A poor solder connection can do it. I'd switch to bullets. E5 is too small. Maybe theose 8mm connectors. QS8 another option. XT150. Those shouldn't melt.
Hgh center of gravity means poor acceleration, handling and braking...which leads to breaking. Easy wheelies does not mean lots of power, it means it has a high center of gravity, Think - Low powered, high CG Tamiya cars that are designed to (basically only do) wheelies. This why Traxxas cars come in last place compared to race brands (all same driver skill) on a track.
The excitement is what makes this hobby what it is

Lap time leader board? The world needs it
DON'T EVER STOP GETTING EXCITED ABOUT RC CARS!! I love it when u get amped up about rcs. 🤟🤟😝😝

You keep the excitement Joe , your vids always have the ‘feel good’ factor that I like ❤️
Awesome combo for the xrt. That huge ramp would be nice for some rc x games 👍
Never stop being so excited! Lol. Thats what this hobby is all about
I love how excited you are that what we do it for 😂❤
17.1 NIIIIICE 🔥 That's with one hand also right? Man that thing is insanely powerful, nice throttle control around the track 👌🏻
Talk about a kid in a candy store! 😁😂 that was pretty awesome! Almost hurt my neck looking up for your truck!😂😂👍👍😁😎✌️
I think that motor is gonna be the hot ticket! Although I already made the 56118 fit everything! LOL great bash and test!

This system seems perfect for the Xmaxx and Xrt
That thing is moving great! 💯

Interesting motor for the XRT

do you think that cover will fit on with the 24 tooth?
Yes I run 26 in mine
Great video! Love the set up
How do you think this combo would do in the Xmaxx? I'm still running stock powertrain on mine but looking to upgrade!
I tried the max 5 g2 800kv on 12s in my xrt on stock diffs and it went great. 😎 👍
Max5 all day
Nice man👍😁
Do you would say you feel the power difference between stock and this? And with this setup the hight speed more higher possible as well?
Great test drive brother!
I love my with max 5 1100kv with 34/46 gearing.
Yeah i got the same setup with those gears, its a beast bro
You’re geared to do 64mph with it. It’s impressive if it’s staying cool with that gearing.
What weight diff fluids would you recommend?? For speed bashing/track and for general bashing and tricks (if there's a different preference).

Love your excitement ❤
I love this stuff LOL
Could you enable the Hobbywing feature "Turbo mode" with this combo?
I haven’t tried. I generally don’t use turbo or added timing due to the added heat issues
@@ExocagedRC The motor is getting hot, but not the ESC. Which do you recommend the max5 g2 or the max6 g2 with the 5690?
@@ExocagedRC is the max5 better option for the 5690?
Man with the max5 g2 setup 800kv motor combo, my motor gets up too 140f+ in no time what the heck lol
WOuld you recommend this 1250kv and max5 combo for an X Maxx, or have you found something that works better?
That thing is sick. I wonder if the krayton 6 s could handle it
Well, people run Max6 1100Kv 5687 on 8s... so maybe it could fit because the New max6 g2 should take the 5690SD on 8s😏🤣
It would fit but way to heavy for basher I would get smaller motor 1650 or 2200kv
Definitely a stubby 56 but I want a 12s 5690 so it’ll just fit my kraton😂
do you recommanded this motor for a xmaxx ?
dude yes, gear it as close to stock ratio as you can and then enjoy the insane power. I have this in a 75lb 1/4 scale bouncer and it runs great.
What would you say is the fastest motor for the Xrt ultimate? I just want it fast!!!!
Probably an 1100kv geared up or an 800 geared up on 12s
17.1 great lap Exo
Yeah I got a 17.3 later on so I'm real happy with that
Well it should be able to hit the 50 mph they put on the box now 😂
Doesn’t this combo come with a Max6 🤔
Well I can't wait to see it
I think you could get in the 16s 🏆
The way that lands in the back corner. Would it be worth making into a berm so you can full send it round the corner and blast it down the home straight?
I haven't really went all out on the back stretch yet, that was close though.
I will make this happen!!
MAX6 G2 SOON 👀
You need better tires and thicker rear diff fluid
I like this diameter tire for this truck, don't really want to do Xmaxx size on this one. Any ideas on tires that would work for this?
@@ExocagedRC Man I think MadMax Giant Grip Belted are great
I've had those before and they wouldn't stay locked in the beads at all
Can anyone direct me to why my ec5 connectors melted....?
Kraton 8s stock electronics zee 10000 mah 100c batterys
A poor solder connection can do it. I'd switch to bullets. E5 is too small. Maybe theose 8mm connectors. QS8 another option. XT150. Those shouldn't melt.
Thats got 16's in it
yeah it sure does!, maybe even low 16's if I can drive it right
@ExocagedRC driver mod dependent eh 😉🤣
YEP!!

This is much much lower CG than an Xmaxx, so yeah I get that but it still gets up in a wheelie much easier now, thats a great thing IMO
No. BE excited!
