Torx screw is unnecessary and difficult to manage; I left mine off, too. Not surprised a tab is broken - it's nearly impossible to get that cover back in place. Super-fast, super-simple demonstration of replacing the filter. Squeezing the new one into an hourglass shape helps get it into the opening.
Yeah I truly wanted to thank you for the torque screw cuz the first video was just straight to the tabs didn't miss anything about the screw and I'm blind so thank you for the slight bit info
jai un ford escape 2015 sa fait 4 fois quil change la résistance après 3 mois elle marche seulement a une vitesse 1 2 3 ne fonctionne plus seulement a la 4iem vitesse
Mine have problem after replacing new filter, now the smell from outside is leak into the cabin, i’ve tried to change with 3 times with new filter but end same, maybe anyone know what’s the problem ? Thank you
Watching prior instructions by another I couldn't get the cover to snap in. After frustration I searched again and found this video and with the explanation of the tabs it snapped right in.
hey hey, hows is it going... i ended up pulling my XL600 engine again lol ...so stupid i guess the crankcase breather tube kinked and caused my Decomp lever seals to blow go figure and it pushed my output shaft seal out yay. I'm getting pretty fast at doing the engine RR on that beast...... curious have you ever did the pre-cat on KIA crap wagon Sedona 2002 firewall side. it looks like you need to be double-jointed and hands the size of a midget LOL any input?
Darn man I'm sorry to hear that. I guess it could have been worse. Luckily it didn't blow out a lower seal when you were going down the road and empty out all the oil. And yeah I'm sure over the years I've done one or two of those Kia firewall side catalytic converters. But honestly I don't remember any details off hand. They are definitely tight
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow oh ya it could have been way worse. luckily my local honda shop had all the seals. awesome guys, i been buying parts from them since the mid-80s lol i went to school with the parts manager he tries to keep the old honda parts on hand for me hahahaha .. but ya man the KIA is like built for kids only to work on sheesh .. i thought id ask i know you dabble in pretty much everything . ill finger it out lol ...thanks man take care and ride hard
I just got done installing a fresh filter. First time I've done it myself; in 2019 I had a dealership do it. The dealer's mechanic put it wrong; there is an arrow pointing the correct airflow. Nonetheless, a "cheap(er)" filter is easier to squeeze to slide it in. I own a 2014 Ford Focus ST; 91,000 miles. My Corvette's cabin air filter is at the rear of the engine bay; installation takes 30 seconds. Ford's engineers are a bunch of cockcuckers.
Did my 2013 Ford Focus - probably the first time it had ever been done. 😬
Thanks for the No Nonsense video

On Amazon:
*CABIN FILTER: amzn.to/2xLvp0z
*OEM CABIN FILTER: amzn.to/2YVgg8R
*TORX BIT SET: amzn.to/2XKIwyy
Wiha bits are very much likely to be better and longer lasting, fyi
Saved me 100 some bucks dude. Big thanks.
Good to hear! And no problem
Me too. Thanks
I do my filters every August after pollen has gone!😊
Will this work for a 2014 focus st?
mine doesn't have those tabs under the dash. It is bolted on
