👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙌
You're here! 🥰👏👏👏
Wow to be a youth shouted out by a great pro orchestra like LSO! Awesome encouragement
Thanks for playing and for sharing this!
Good vibrato!
Clean hand dude! 😂
Hey you're famous haha - from a fellow member
Yo practice hard, Benjamin! You're awesome
This video WINS THE INTERNET for me today. As a National Youth Orchestra of Canada alum (1994/1995), and a professional symphony musician for the past 27 years, I can personally vouch for the excellence and value of Canada’s youth orchestras. Bravissimo, NBYO! You get all of our support from your fellow orchestras here in BC! ❤️🎶
Shame on the marketing department at Infiniti. I won't be buying one of their cars due to their casual insulting of young people's commitment to and passion for great classical music. The New Brunswick Youth Orchestra has made a great response video here. They prove that young people can do a superb job playing the opening of Richard Strauss' Also Sprach Zarathustra, and if the folks at Infiniti don't have the discernment to understand that, clearly they lack the taste I would look for in a car. Congratulations to all the outstanding members of the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra! -William Harvey, Concertmaster, National Symphony Orchestra, Mexico
@UCwRjksAgj2qdxYtOIjLjxLg Perhaps you could learn to play a violin, or oboe, or any of those instruments (or encourage your child to do so). There's real joy and love in the learning! After you devote a bit of your own energy, we can talk about how 'funny' it is. Satire? Of course. Cheap, and in bad taste? Ditto. Not, I imagine, the best image for an expensive and 'sophisticated' brand such as Infinity. Those who don't know and can't do ...
I wrote Infiniti the exact same thin...I won't be buying from them... I posted their reply to me above... They don't get it...
Geaux NBYO!!!!! Made me cry. My husband conducts a Youth Orchestra in Saginaw, Michigan, my son and daughter played in it. Those young musicians are worth our cheers and support!!! They are our FUTURE, never forget.
Bravo, NBYO!
As a former Akron Youth Orchestra and Canton Youth Orchestra member in Ohio, I applaud your musicianship, your passion, and your creativity in responding to Infiniti’s TONE DEAF ad!
Now that is a great ending to an absolutely terrible commercial!! This made my day. TY! And that is the truth there is an infinity of young talent!
Bravo on so many levels! I am not going to lie - this made me tear up a little bit. Well done to everyone.
Wonderful! Maybe Infinity will pay to broadcast this nationwide and make a philanthropic gesture as a measure of apology.
I like that idea :-)
@@nbyoojnb this was an awesome retort to the original commercial. My only pet peeve is that the tuning isn't quite there -- albeit it a 1000% better than that car commercial. Just my 2 pfarthings worth.
@@MisterNBrown for a YO the tuning is pretty darn good lol. The final C major chord was very clean and, being the resolution, is all that matters. Note that it wasn't even just equal temperament so the 3rd was really well tuned
We were invited to Carnegie Hall. That'll do! Net York 2023 summer. Xo
The perfect response. Thank you.
Brilliant! Well done. Bravo to the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra!
Serious flex on Nissan. Love it!
So nicely done, it's a perfect response!
To sound as great as NBYO, they have to sound like they do in the Nissan ad. They need support from their parents and teachers help them reach new levels. They have to practice hard and have occasions to perform and show their talent. No musician started out playing perfectly. We'll give Nissan the benefit of the doubt: maybe the mom in the ad had a headache.
I will gladly hear my son and students practice anytime, however it sounds.
Jesus Christ no one cares🤦♂️🤡
If she had a headache she wouldn't be smiling like an idiot.
No youth orchestra sounds like the Nissan ad. (In which in fact the " music" was played by pro musicians. The kids from the real youth orchestra are just props.) Youth orchestras play repertoire at their level, reasonably together and in tune.
You tell em! That was beautiful. Kudos to your young musicians.
Yes! Amen and Amen!
Infiniti should hire youth orchestras for its future commercials and invest in cultivating young musical talent, instead of making fun of the learning process.
YES! Our kids are tremendous. Music is the all-encompassing human endeavor that engages every aspect of our beings. Strive for greatness, your perfect sound in concert with your friends that reaches to the heavens and our hearts.
Perfection. Well done and in your face, as agency for Infinity. Don’t shame just to make a point - and a sale.
Excellent ! Fantastic ! Thanks for doing this. Pay attention CBC, CTV, Global and others...listen and watch this young orchestra and put this video on immediately after every running of the Nissan ad.
“Any one of them could have done the job” Amen. Keep shaping these beautiful, young minds!
Riiiiight. When was the last time you attended a local junior-high band concert?
@@rationalicthusWe're not anything like a junior high orchestra/band. Junior high can't perform as clearly as we can.
@@benjaminlewis5057 You're making my point for me. Your *typical* JH band isn't gonna sound as good as what you have. Trust me, my Dad was a band teacher, and I've given lessons to tons of kids over the years. The first few years are painful, but worth it, but that's what makes this commercial funny.
As a father of a kid who played in several youth orchestras, i was always astounded by the talent they displayed and often brought to tears watching them play so beautifully. Nissan made a tone deaf commercial (see what i did there?? :)
Bravo! Well done! I absolutely hate it when people mock young musicians. Having spent a career teaching young musicians, I know how much hard work and dedication it takes and how much time it takes to develop their skills. They should be encouraged, supported and praised, not mocked. Ever. Congratulations for making this response to the original commercial. I really hope it gets people’s attention!
Having spent a career teaching young musicians, you should know that just about every concert sounds EXACTLY like that Infiniti commercial. Have a laugh, chuckle at our shared experience, and move on.
@@rationalicthus You are incorrect sir! The concerts my students performed in were much, much different and I have been to dozens of concerts given by young people that sounded excellent and even if the young students are very new at what they are doing, we shouldn’t be laughing at them or mocking them. And also, the parents are so proud of their kids they would never roll up their windows. You don’t know me…I actually have a great sense of humour, but not at the expense of children. I love children and don’t feel they should be mocked. They should be loved and encouraged in their every endeavour. You and I have a difference of opinion. Let’s agree to disagree and yes, move on.
@@soapgirl123 you and I have a different. It’s of the world. My kids’ high school concerts were works of art I’d happily pay to attend. Their junior high concerts were painful and horrible, plain and simple.
@@rationalicthus You wouldn’t have the works of art in high school, without the beginning learning stages in elementary school. It’s all valuable and worthy of respect.
@@soapgirl123 it’s very valuable, but I can’t help but laugh. It feels like Karma, realizing what I put my parents thru, and having to suffer thru my own kids’ performances. I’d do it again in a heartbeat, but it’s still funny.
Brilliant! A classy rebuttal. I hope Nissan does hire the NBYO for their next commercial. How fun would that be!
Seeing and hearing their playing made feel proud of those young talented musicians.
Ya wow, mindblowing performance to say the least! But im not surprised because, as a one time bus driver, I once took a Dieppe high school youth orchestra to a major competition in NYC (Riverside Church Manhattan) that had competitors from all over the USA & Canada. Well, i had the good fortune and distinct pleasure of being able to watch and listen to the competitors as they performed, and they were all nothing short of outstanding! I was so impressed and impacted that i often think of that trip. Being a rock and roll type of guy in musical taste, I wasn't prepared to be moved as I was. To see them all performing as a team, as if they were part of a big music machine, directed by their maestro/teacher, was something I will never ever forget! I forget exactly how the Dieppe team did in that competiton but I think they did very well. But more importantly, I remember them all as perfect young ladies and gentleman. Afterall I was with the Dieppe team for several days, so not only was I imprrssed at theur musical abilities, I was even more impressed with them as individuals.
So I say to all, support your local youth orcestra. Go see, Go snd hear for yourself! See and feel what I did.
You will all be just as blown away as I was. Kudos to all involved wherever you are!
The kids are going to Carnegie Hall with this going viral. So much support. Wonderful 😊
YES! Thank you! It's not as if I could ever afford one, but if I could, I would NEVER buy an Infiniti. Their ad is shameful -- especially since the young people pictured appear to be doing a very good job. (I'm a violinist, and I recognize the excellent set-up and skillful technique of the young violinist.) Bravo to New Brunswick, and to music teachers and youth orchestra conductors everywhere.
I can afford one.... they lost me... Never buying an Infiniti product.
Bah. You’ve clearly never attended a youth concert . It’s painful. Infiniti made me laugh, AND appreciate the fact that the pain I endured listening was the price Inpaid to raise four exceptional musicians.
THANK YOU
Way to go NBYO!!!! My granddaughter was part of the Sistema family and played the viola. the Sistema orchestra is brilliant.
Now, THAT is how you showcase young musicians. 🎶💜😎
This is the best answer to a commercial!!!!! Bravo to the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra!
This is such a great response piece. Way to go, NB Youth Orchestra!
Well played, NBYO, well played. A fun retort with a great message about the potential of our youth! Bravo!
Bravo!
As a former high school musician, and a university marching band trumpeter, I am proud to be the father of a wonderful music teacher.
I would never miss an opportunity to attend a school concert - what kind of parent would literally turn their back on their children and the aspiring musicians in a school orchestra?
As for Nissan - I know their marketing team - they are very fine people - blame the ad agency, who obviously have no concept of who owns the Nissan vehicles. My wife and I both drive Nissan vehicles - we have owned Nissans since 1981 - I would be happy to watch the pilot of the next round of Nissan commercials to let the company know whether they are appropriate for the audience.
Didier - you know how to reach me.
By the way, two 👍👍 and a 🖖 to the creative team in New Brunswick for a wonderful response to the Infinity commercial - the use of the BMW at the opening of the video is priceless!
Lovely!!!! As a former youth musician and current youth educator, I give you a standing ovation as you stand up for our young talent- we know how brightly they can shine esp with parents who support them.
Love this. I have seen the Nb youth orchestra in st Andrews many many times. Always a great show. So very proud to be a New Brunswicker. Such great talent 😊 Have a spectacular time in NYC.
Great short video by you folks and you can count on us to help get you to NYC
YES!!!!!! 100000% love all of this!
Love this!!!!! The Infiniti ad is horrible beyond words. Thank you NBYO!!
We repeated this at least 3 times to get it just right and it came out perfect :00 love ittt
Only 3 times? That's not many takes. That makes it even MORE amazing!
Yeah!!! Thank you so very much for showing what a committed and inspired group of young musicians can really sound like!
Bravo NBYO! Excellent awareness of the importance youth music programs
I can't even express how much I love this. Thank you for this beautiful and classy response. Play on, friends. Play on.
Whoohoo, go NBYO! I enjoyed my time immensely in the percussion section under Rodney McLeod
Yes! Let the young musicians shine with their Infinity talents! Love this so much! Keep making great music with your hearts!!
Thank you - I HATE that original commercial - such a sad message. Even an out of tune orchestra is still an orchestra - the message of that parent wanting to escape the "noise" makes me so sad. Especially in these days we need as many people adding arts & music into the world - I am a product of 2 music teachers who has also taught kids the joy of making music!!!
It’s a funny commercial I’m a kid that happens to be in a orchestra. Nowadays everyone is so damn sensitive. The commercial is not bad in any way so shut up you sensitive pest🤦♂️
Especially considering it is now coming out that these were real young musicians. They had auditions, they’re talented, and they practiced the piece prior to shooting. Then they just overdub this crap
this orchestra in this video is from the usa. the orchestra from the advertisement are random people from Poland :)
The kids weren't even playing
@@tomekczerepinski1860 children played :)
In tears. Just beautiful. Thanks for keeping it classy, NBYO.
This literally brought tears to my eyes. I wish they'd been recorded playing longer.
Thank you for this. I was offended by that stupid car commercial. As a musician and music teacher, I work to support young talent. It hurts when people take cheap shots and make fun of the struggles of budding musicians. Learning to play an instrument is hard -- but so worth it!
What a wonderful response to the Infinity ad! Thank you for getting the real story out about musically talented young people!
Brilliant!
Delightful!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this and all that sistema does! I was a member of the orchestra for district 20 when I was a child. Some of the most interesting parts of my learning. Well done!
That's how it's done. Class act!!
Absolutely Beautiful guys. Way to represent Canada! 💪🏻🇨🇦
Even granting that it’s tongue in cheek, Nissan/Infiniti gave themselves a black eye with the ad. Bravo to NBYO for setting the record straight!
BRAVO!
Bravo! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Love the BMW grand entrance 😭
Thank you for this! That commercial annoyed me from the first time I saw it, and DEFINITELY did not make me want to buy their vehicle. Hopefully they'll see your video and shoot a remake - focus on the class, talent, and beauty of their vehicle with an amazing sound system to go with it! Thanks for sharing - your musicians sound amazing!
This literally made me tear up. So great to see this response to such an insulting ad.
BRAVO! What a great response!
Bravo N.B Youth Orchestra!
Bravo!!!!!!!!
Music education is absolutely critical. Of the many things I learned in school, music is the one that I still use every day. Kids need to be encouraged, not teased by big companies.
Thank you for this.
Outstanding!
I just love it!!! Great, BRAVO!!!!
Bravo!!!!!!
Infiniti's competitors should use them in a commercial
As a music educator, thank you. These young people are beautiful musicians and please keep placing them and all their hard work and dedication in the limelight.
Bravo! Very classy
Bravo, NBYO! This is the truth, right here.
Bravissimo for the response and the performance.
The og ad was sacrilegious
Bravo pour l'intelligence du message! Bravo NBYO!
BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO!!
Bravo et merci!
What an epic mic drop. BRAVO
Excellent response - kudos!
What a great story!! Congrats everyone!!
Well done NBYO - proud of you all!
Beautiful!
Yes, Infinit should have called you! This is THE message.
this is so genius. loved every second
BRAVISSIMO!!!!
A few weeks ago there was a kid playing a recorder out on his front stoop. I thought it was great that he had the character to do that, because I foolishly gave up music. Thanks for speaking up for youth music!
¡¡BRAVO!!
¡¡Oleeee!!
Awesome!!!!
As a youth orchestra member when I was a child... and an aunt of two very talented musicians... and sister of another youth and community orchestra member.... BRAVO!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
BRAVO!!!!
Man, Nissan got hard ratio'd by these legends 🎶🎶🎶
The original AD was clever, correct and fun reflecting the typical school band.
I am in NBYO and in response to the infiniti ad, we recorded this video because the original ad was pretty stupid because the children in the infiniti ad weren’t who you were hearing.
Bravo! This is so very good.
The Infinity ad used the "out of tune" arrangement NOT from kids or anyone playing poorly, but because-- as an exercise-- they asked the orchestra members to switch instruments: the winds played the strings and the strings played the winds. I think it highlights how challenging that score is, and how we need to appreciate everyone's area of expertise.
Maestro! Absolutely brilliant execution of setting this ill-advised Infinity decision on its head! It was my first impression of it when I saw it a few weeks ago. A pianist myself, you show prove to me again how much I love creatives. I hope Infinity continues to receive some much-needed “advice” from its customers and the general public. Bravo!
Well done Ken MacLeod and NBYO!!
Bravo! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
BRAVO 👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼
Yeah! You Tell 'Em, and You Play It!
Absolutely wonderful! A million thanks for this beautiful message!
