The funny thing is, I really like how you set up your older Eufy Cam so much that it took away from the other cameras. That was a very pro setup in the ceiling. Eufy is still an overall great camera system, but the Wyze , for the price could be a great option. Thanks again for all of your hard work!
Thanks for the great review. Always good to see your channel updates. I initially had the Eufy Pan and Tilt camera and just replaced it with the Wyze pan and tilt. I think the Eufy is better so I’ll be changing back.
The Wyze system isn't perfect, but for our use (California upper floor apartment with interior door entryway) the Wyze has been great. Very reliable, very good functionality. As others have said, audio leaves a great deal to be desired, but overall a quality system, and considering the price, even more impressive value. Cheers. Still doing great work, LH!
Always a great review. I bought the mini at best buy after seeing your review and it was on sale for $49.99. So far so good the night vision is way better than my 6yo 720p Lorex. I think it’s time for upgrade.
I just learned today that Eufy is an Anker product and that elevates it a LOT in my opinion. Anker makes great phone chargers and usb cables. I have two Wyze V3 cams and I can see that the Wyze audio quality problems is common to ALL their products. For my purposes the audio isnt very important compared to picture and low light capability so Im pretty happy with the V3s. I dont like the idea of an indoor camera but i would consider a pan and tilt outside my home for improved coverage
Superb comparison as always! You highlighted the pros and cons of each, no bias! I'm a P24 user myself. I've got 3 of them around the house and I'm glad it's still kicking butt!
If you have a contact at EUFY could you pass on some suggestions?? Like adding a on and off widget that would arm and disarm the camera, also they need to add the privacy feature to the 2k indoor, also they need to separate the speakers and mic 🎙 from the alarm!!! I don’t necessarily want the alarm to go off when it detect motion but I would like to listen and talk without the sirens 🚨😒. And they need to work on the geofencing because it is not that great 😒. If instead the camera would disarm and go in to privacy mode when my phone would connect to my Wi-Fi that would be perfect 👍 thx.
You said you only turn on notification when nobody is home. I want to turn on motion notification when I'm in bed. Then I will be notified if someone is in my house. They offer security modes and scheduling so I should be able to do that. My eufy 2k pan/tilt p24 is scheduled to arrive today. :)
Great comparison! Have you been able to find a Eufy indoorcam mini 2k (the best buy one) mount with the proper screw hole? It seems like that oversight might not have been corrected yet... *edit* I ended up enlarging one of the holes in the ceiling mount and was able to manually thread in a 1/4" mounting screw - so it's off-center, but the camera is very light and the whole thing is quite stable
The misgiving that I have is that an intruder who sees the motion camera, can just remove the sd card and your evidence is lost. If it could have been recorded remotely as well, it could also be good.
Eufy cam for the Win.. Better audio , Better A.i and 2K You be Wyze to get the Eufy!! ha ha BTW Eufy is using your videos on their Instagram as advertisements.
Eufy mini is 99 degrees field of view (instead of 125 on p24). Funny that in this video, wyze cam sound is horrible in day light but actually ok in night mode
Blink has some new products just released. Please review the new Blink Video Doorbell, Floodlight Cam, and the solar panel mount for the Blink Outdoor Cam. The doorbell has been in the works for many years and highly anticipated. I am very much looking forward to that review. Thank you!
Looks like the Blink doorbell camera is only 1080 and Blink still does not have AI. One tester says his Blink doorbell cam constantly sends notifications day/night when cars drive by, it has street view. He only wants to be notified if a person comes to the door. He's experimenting adjusting sensitivity and motion zones. It's well known Blink's motion zones have not worked well. Maybe they are improving it. I have several XT2s. Without AI it may be hard to stop the traffic alerts. Reviews of the Blink doorbell will show how good it performs. A lot of brands now have AI detection, person, vehicle, pet, etc. which greatly reduces false alerts. I will never buy another outdoor cam without it. Blink doorbell cam already has mixed reviews on Amazon, 42% 1 star at the moment.
I got a blink and their options are almost non-existent. Most important I want date/time stamps on the videos to catch criminals. Eufy has it, blink doesn't. But there's a lot more. Motion tracking. Scheduling. Security modes. Audio triggering. Recording until the motion stops. Sharing with others as admin or guest. Mounting hardware. Desktop access. Lots of things.
Hi LifeHackster, any idea how long the p24 and mini record upon motion or sound detection ? Also is there a cooldown period ? My concern is getting full recording upon detection, not just 1 or 2 minutes. Thanks.
I have used Wyze Cams ever since they came out. Until several months ago, they were fairly reliable, but not so much lately. I have 12 Wyze cameras and one Ring camera. In four years, the Ring camera has never disconnected. The same cannot be said for my Wyze cams, however. I have a Wyze camera v.3 mounted about 2 inches from the Ring. The Wyze cam disconnects just about daily and needs to be unplugged and plugged in again - the Ring has never disconnected. When Wyze updates the camera firmware and app, you can expect problems. The Ring just updates in the background and goes about its business. I know... the Wyze costs about half than the Ring. But, if I had it to do over again, having 3+ years of using the Wyze cams, I would have gone with Ring - I will probably buy a couple of Rings soon.
thats weird. i've had 2 V3s for just over a year and I dont have any problem with them disconnecting from wifi. maybe they just dont have as good a connection as the Ring and youre at the limit of the range
Great review, thank you Is there a difference between the older Eufy cam Pan & tilt 2k and the newer Solo Indoorcam P24 ? I saw it changed name, but is there any difference between the newer and the older version ?
@@Jackdman25 Hello, sorry for the late answer but this question was almost a year old 🙂 Yes I got an answer from Eufy themselves, and they told me that it's exact the same camera, it just changed name. Hope this was helpful for you

How did you set up the Eufy cam P24 in the ceiling? I absolutely love this look. Clean with no exposed wires, hidden away nicely yet extremely functional. Looking at getting this model indoor cam for my new home. As I'm doing new construction, I have the option of placing wires or plugs anywhere I like so just trying to figure out how what is the best way to do wiring. Do I just place an extra outlet near the ceiling/camera or did you run cat6 cabling or something else? Enquiring minds need to know lol.
There is a bit of exposed wires on the other side. I just a hole in the ceiling enough for the micro USB cable to pass through. Power adapter is in the attic and plugged in to an extension cord which is plugged in my attic power outlet.
Do any of these cameras work better as a baby monitor? Does the Echo Show display the camera indefinitely? Or will the mobile app show indefinitely? My Blink cameras time out making them worthless for a baby monitor.
Why no comment on the poor implementation of Geofencing?! My Eufy cameras routinely fail to recognise I've returned home, so unless you want to film your home 24/7 it's not fit for purpose.
depending how tall your ceiling is, a basketball player may be able to reach your ceiling mounted camera without a ladder. or an average height person could use a chair or other non-ladder assistance.
I'm testing the Mini now. Not impressed. The motor is so loud. It's not a cheap cam. It's slightly better than Wyze v2. If not for pan and tilt i'd say not worth the upgrade from wyze.
