I was in the store and just want to check the review of this product and thankfully I saw your review. Very insightful which made me automatically purchase. Thank you.
Thanks very much for this review. I have been on the fence about ordering it and you have convinced me. We will be using to monitor our pets. One of our dogs has seizures, so we want to keep track of what happens when we are away from the house. Given that, what size mico SD card do you recommend? Do you have a favorite brand? Thanks!
Thanks for your review. Based on this I just got one of these cameras and so far I really like it. One problem I can't figure out is how to set the DEFAULT position. I go in to the page of PRESET POSITIONS and it does a CALIBRATE. But when it is done and I click the SET AS DEFAULT POSITION I get an error at the top that says UNABLE TO CONNECT INDOOR CAM (-1). But the Camera is working fine. Anyone got any ideas?
Great video George! I currently have two Eufy E220 cameras in the house and was looking to get a third for the garage. Do you know if this is an updated version of what I have or just a different camera with different features?
Thank you sir! It would be very similar to what you have, but with pan/tilt functions. My favorite indoor camera of theirs, is the S350 (which I’ll do a video on at some point). You might want to check that one out. amzn.to/4b7nGuF
Great video. Thank you. I read another review from PC Mag that commented that the Eufy E220 have 8x digital zoom..... "The camera captures video at 2K (2,304 by 1,296) resolution and has a 125-degree field of view and an 8X digital zoom. Eight infrared LEDS provide up to 33 feet of black-and-white night vision. The camera assembly contains a microphone and a microSD card slot for storing event-triggered video locally." I know you reviewed the C220 but I cannot find anything to tell me how to activate the digital zoom on the C220, any thoughts?
Is the camera noisy whilst moving? Hoping to get it for my son who is at high risk of seizures so need the continuous recording at night time but he is also a very light sleeper so don’t want something that is going to disturb him.
It is indeed. 2K and 360 pan tilt at $35 is awesome. I’ve asked and unfortunately Eufy haven’t hasn’t given me any good answers. They were on a roll with HomeKit cameras for a while. It’s a shame that’s no longer the case.
I just bought one and I can’t scan the cr code to add this device then asks to manually type it but it’s asking for the 8 digit cr code but there isn’t one on the box or camera
I brought the Micro SD card and I think the store here in NZ gave me the wrong one, is the card supposed to stick out a bit or meant to fully go in the slot?
Cool Review Thank you so much. But I have a question if I opened the live stream from outside my home it will works or will become laggy ? because I tried another brand "Tapo" and I can't watch the live stream or make a call outside my home network.
Can you comment how is Eufy detection and video quality as compared to Tapo? Comparing Eufy C220 to Tapo C220 or C225. Also Eufy devices with and without Homebase.
I just got one Eufy C220, currently without a home base. The camera doesn't seem that smart. It continues to notify me on movement or motion detected on the same person every few seconds. I cannot set don't notify on familiar faces or motion detection on certain busy areas.
Can you please provide me with the specifications of the white support unit used to secure the eufy Security Indoor Cam C220? The one you are using to secure the camera on the wall. Thanks a lot, and I love your video.
Eufy does it again! its odd because their old indoor pan and tilt indoor camera E220 has Apple Home support. Please Eufy add Apple home support to all your cameras moving forward! I wish they would also add color options for black or white. Other wise great camera and awesome review my friend.
What’s your thoughts on eufy vs arlo these days? Trying to find the best wireless for indoor and outdoor and would be awesome if HomeKit was also a feature.
I have one in my house. Works pretty well and the features are great. Only way to hack this thing is if the crooks have a wifi blocker or your power dies on your block
These camera companies have done a bunch of market research and determined that white is the most aesthetically pleasing, and also the biggest deterrent to thieves. That’s why you don’t see too many cameras in black.
Just such a bummer with no HomeKit support, but if it did have HomeKit support it would likely be $50, which may be the calculus behind not supporting that platform. George, even their old cameras that do support HK don’t allow for sound detection in the manufacturer app and they blame it on Apple. Other camera companies allow sound detection in their app even if they support HK… just wanted to hear your thoughts on that because to me it just seemed untrue.
It is a bummer and you’re right about the price. I’m sure it would be higher if it supported HK. As far as sound detection, it’s not for everyone. I’ve been doing this for nearly 25 years & very rarely do I encounter someone who cares about sound detection. I personally agree with you & think it’s a great feature. But a lot of people don’t understand the benefit (even after I tell them). I think camera companies know this, so it’s just not a priority.
Honestly, I originally had my first Eufy Cam2s and Homebase 2 set up with HomeKit but eventually reverted to using via the Eufy app as I saw lag and of course the downgrade/limit in video quality with HomeKit. Ultimately it wasn’t worth it just to be able to see my cam feeds on my AppleTV.
@@GeorgeLangabeer My eufy c210 cameras are not reliable. I would like to change to a cable cam and I think lumus reolink is a good choice. I try! :) Thanks and congrats for your nice videos 👋👋👋

Directly from their FAQ section… Does IndoorCam C220 support HomeKit? No. It does support Smart Displays using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, but currently doesn’t support HomeKit.
@@GeorgeLangabeer exactly I feel like they’re regressing with this camera. Why make a camera that’s 4 years ago and add minor features. And the price why not just drop the older eufy pan and tilt. I wish they made an affordable 4k pan and tilt
@TheKingsComingAlefTav I’ve been installing security cameras for nearly 25 years. I’ve been dealing with: firewalls, port forwarding, port triggering, virtual servers, UPnP, static IPs, DHCP, DDNS, Dynamic DNS, IP & Mac binding, bandwidth control, MAC addresses, RTSP, TCP/UDP protocols and military grade encryption….since before most current IT people were born. So yeah, I can assure you they aren’t listening when in privacy mode.

@@GeorgeLangabeer Who has 2.4 ghz? I just bought a mini Blink at Best Buy today. Did you review that? Any thoughts? I don't need 24/7 recording. Just an alert if someone comes in. It was $20. Easy to install.
@stevepackard8542 Most routers nowadays are dual band (or tri-band), so 2.4 is still very viable. I’m not a fan of Blink. Cheaply made & privacy issues.

The Eufy privacy issues happened almost 18 months ago. It took me awhile to forgive them for their response to those issues, but I can’t hold a grudge forever. Last I checked it was compatible with the HomeBase 3, but only with the recording option, not the advanced AI.

That was almost two years ago now. Their initial response was underwhelming, but after some backlash, they responded accordingly & solved the issues.
