Lonnie W do you think it’d be more affordable to buy a slightly older but cared for RR with around 100k miles and deal with the extra maintenance and repairs or buy a newer one with warranty for twice the price and deal with steep depreciation? I’m looking at getting a supercharged full sized 2007 or newer with the terrain response system to replace both my BMW X3 and Hummer H2. I currently use the H2 to tow my horse trailer and go off-roading and the BMW as a daily driver but I’m upgrading to a gooseneck trailer and getting a diesel 1 ton dually pickup. The BMW is sporty like I want but can’t tow enough and has no off-roading capability and is uncomfortable, the H2 isn’t sporty enough and is a bit bigger than I want for a daily driver and is a bitch to fit on the trails. The RR though is that perfect combo.

Most people who talk or complain about Range Rover or their reliability never owned a range over or anything in its category. Now the 2010-12 Range in Europe market was more updated then us market, has the 8 speed trans, pop up shifter like the 13 and up models. But 2010 and up are amazing!, obviously they are expensive to maintain and repair, but it’s a Range not a Ford Escape. If u can’t afford the truck then don’t buy it.

Great video, I have a 2004 with the BMW engine and everything you have said in this video is absolutely correct. This is more informative then american videos with no accent, which shouldn't matter, but some people on here always have stupid things to say, so in my opinion... your knowledge and English skills are great and much appreciated.
Such an awesome video! Would love some advice please. I’m buying a 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 TDV8. It looks to be in good condition and has a full service history. If you were in my position, what are the first things you would do to the car to ensure it runs well or as a precaution?
Buy one of those $10,000 warranties that covers everything and max it out on every little thing. I think 2005-2010 have the best engines but that being said 12 was a great year too. Hopefully it has lowish mileage
This was the funniest intro of any video out there on RUclips. It made me laugh and after few days I get nuts and start searching again in RUclips,so I can write down the lyrics at the beginning for the car with a very special character ;-)I read the Russian forum sometimes about cars and troubles and this one also is on the top of the list for unpleasant surprises. One guy recommends to have 2 of them,so you can drive the one, while the other is in the workshop, but of course if the first one is not already there ;-)

thank you very good "article". yes we do have a problem with the heating of the motor, is this usual for the 2002 Vogue Range Rover? we also have a "inactive air suspension" message, and the car won't lift up to normal height... do I need to buy the EAS Activate Tool? Thank you for your help
the overheating can be caused for example: by faulty thermostat, dirty/clogged radiator or coolant leak if it's usual, well it can be an issue on a lot of older cars about the air suspension: yes, it's the best to check it via diagnostic computer/tool, you can buy the EAS Activate Tool, or just find somebody (an independent brand specialist for example) who has that diagnostic computer
I'm thinking of getting a 2009 Range Rover sport. If anyone has experience with it I'd love to hear it. The video said a large portion of the problems listed were with the models before 2006, but I'm not sure if the 2009 model is worth the risk and I don't know anyone personally who owns one.

Late model L322 Range Rovers have major engine issues because of the switch to the 5.0L AJ133 engines shared with the LR4. Early 2010-2012 engines have plastic timing chain tensioners that fail. A blown engine is like $15k to replace. This should be in the video.
Well, this is a hard question, because I don't know if you want an older or a newer / smaller or bigger SUV. But generally the most reliable are the Japanese SUVs equipped with naturally aspirated petrol engines.
the highlander is not a bad choice, you can check out the Nissan Armada too, which has similar reliability, but I would highly recommend the Toyota land cruiser which is generally even more reliable
Nice car, but the 1.8 TFSI and also the 2.0 TFSI engines made to 2012 can have problems with the worn timing chain tensioners and also with the oil consumption-mainly the 1.8 TFSI. The 2.0 l TFSI can have problem also with the turbocharger. The DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox is great when it's working properly, but it can have electronic or mechanic problems which are expensive to fix.
Great review, i'm looking forward to buy a 2011 Autobiography. But I have other ones to check, what do you think about this other SUV's; Mercedes GL Class, Land Rover LR4, Nissan Armada and lastly Ford Expedition/Lincoln Navigator?😁 Appreciate your feedback.
The most reliable choice from these cars is the Nissan Armada and the Land Rover LR4. The Mercedes GL review is here: ruclips.net/video/hNK-NwUHfNk/видео.html (the reliability of this GL is quite similar to the Range Rover) However if you want the most luxurious (but not the most reliable) cars, then choose that Range Rover or the Mercedes GL.
different car review thanks very helpful info from watching the reviews, i have watched the GL review already. I think my choice is down to LR4, Armada & the GL. The only problem for with Armada is the poor rear visibility the D pillars and even on the front the A pillars are quite thick. But overall reliability is the determining factor. Thanks.
Peter RYU electrical issues, drive train issues, & leakage issues to name a few. Only reason I know this is because I drive a Mini, which is also British.
Too general a video to give me something. Truth is the more complex a car, the more you Have to take into consideration when buying/checking a used one. The problems are as usually 70% User related/ lack of maintenance....

I’ve had my 2012 hse supercharged with the modern jaguar 5.0 v8 supercharged engine, I’ve had it 2 years, been amazing no issues. I would really avoid the 4.4 v8 Bmw engine range from 03-07, the 4.2 supercharged jag engine is a bit better, the 2010 is much better in the sport and hse, with the newer 5. 0 jag engine, much more faster, quite, shifts amazing, push start, 360 camera, more modern in general. Amazing vehicle, will never drive another suv besides the Range.
Is the 2005 supercharget as bad as the other models.....same proplems?
Jarno Salonen - I think 06 and up is when they introduced the jaguar 4.2 v8 supercharged, and the 03-05 had the 4.4 v8 Bmw engine.

Does every car has the same electrisity problems + gearbox+suspension
Very useful assessment. I'm looking at a low miles 2002 this week, so will be more aware.
I bought a used 06 Range Rover HSE and I love it!!! Heads up for people that don't know 06-09 came with Ford motors there a lot more reliable than the BMW motor.
what motors come in the 2010? Jaguar?
@@samyporrata5840 BMW, ford used the 4.4l jag from 06 to 09, then went back to BMW. Later years ofter 09 I'm not sure on the reliability, probably alot better now.
@@oSTYNCLSYo incorrect, only the 02-05 models had BMW engines, everything after that had Jaguar engines. The 2010-2012 models had the 5.0 v8 which is in fact a Jaguar engine. But the 4.2/4.4 engines in the 06-09 models is more reliable than the 5.0 which had timing chain problems
@@samyporrata5840 the 2010 actually had Jaguar 5.0
The best review! Thankyou !
I have a problem with my Range Rover fuel cap counter not opening when my fuel is finished and need to refuel at the filling station
Very funny all true, I am on my third one, they have improved dramatically. For anyone that has never driven one you are missing out. The problems really are few and far between on the newer ones, it is an amazing car. Drive one.
Andrew Goodwin good to hear your say , so is sounds like a lottery ? some are lucky some are not ! still that they should be the most popular unreliable cars ... then what am sur they offer the best driver seat position !!! Is one of the reason am looking one .. ( petrol one ). ...
What year model do you have or driven?
Question why dont car owners sue these companies for their serious lack of reliability. Range rover seems to be worst high end car to own because it has wayyy too many issues. Like everyone said just get a toyota suv
LANDROVER needs to watch these videos!
Great video, I have a 2004 with the BMW engine and everything you have said in this video is absolutely correct. This is more informative then american videos with no accent, which shouldn't matter, but some people on here always have stupid things to say, so in my opinion... your knowledge and English skills are great and much appreciated.
Thanks!
One guy recommends to have 2 of them,so you can drive the one, while the other is in the workshop, but of course if the first one is not already there ;-)
Great review..........keep them coming
if you take car of your car you will be fine 99%, of the time but if you don't and drive like crazy yea you will need to listen to this guy what will happened to your car
I am a young student and I was thinking about buying this
No. Buy a Toyota.
Rxonmymind bruh why everyone say get a Honda or Toyota, that shit is gay asf😂 everyone has em
Awesome video by the way 😀👌
thank you very good "article". yes we do have a problem with the heating of the motor, is this usual for the 2002 Vogue Range Rover? we also have a "inactive air suspension" message, and the car won't lift up to normal height... do I need to buy the EAS Activate Tool? Thank you for your help
the overheating can be caused for example: by faulty thermostat, dirty/clogged radiator or coolant leak
if it's usual, well it can be an issue on a lot of older cars
about the air suspension: yes, it's the best to check it via diagnostic computer/tool, you can buy the EAS Activate Tool, or just find somebody (an independent brand specialist for example) who has that diagnostic computer
Too bad, they’re such beautiful cars. Wish they didn’t have these problems
I'm thinking of getting a 2009 Range Rover sport. If anyone has experience with it I'd love to hear it. The video said a large portion of the problems listed were with the models before 2006, but I'm not sure if the 2009 model is worth the risk and I don't know anyone personally who owns one.
+2010 is the refresh new motor 510hp SC, digital gauges
Please can you make a video on used car review on land Rover discovery 3 & 4. Thank you..
We have a good one... 2006 in Black and its my Daily Truck 👌😎🇬🇧
2006? thats ancient
2006 supercharged with 164k miles..good idea or bad..
I felt as welcomed at my local Land Rover dealer as a fart in a elevator..
different car review i love your videos! your the best.
I appreciate that !
Great document SIR> CAn You make something wit LEXUS RXII?
Hello buddy i m range rover fan..i m from india..here range rover autobiography 2013 same as l322...i luv it.. can i buy this ? If it is driven approx 55000-60000 km ..pls tell me..i want autobiography only..or the problems in supercharged also ??
Great video! Still waiting on that video for the W210 Mercedes E320. Hope it comes next
not exactly, the next video will be about Mercedes GL X164, but right after this I will do the W210 review
range rover sport has the same problems?
Late model L322 Range Rovers have major engine issues because of the switch to the 5.0L AJ133 engines shared with the LR4. Early 2010-2012 engines have plastic timing chain tensioners that fail. A blown engine is like $15k to replace. This should be in the video.
but it's way over my budget. Can you make 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse?
thanks Niko Belic!
What do you think of a 2012 Mercedes c300?
The 2012 c300 has a reliable engine-no major problems, so it is a good choice
To fix the battery drain I removed all the outdated stereo system and installed a new head unit and disconnected the headlight wipers.
Super video! navrhuji udělat video na Toyotu land cruiser 120
God.. this accent.
It's like walking into a convenience store.
You're so ignorant
LinusLarrabee thank you, come again
LinusLarrabee and you're so stupid
This is a good review, very informative.

And
Is there a 2006 Range Rover Sport Review
not yet, but it is on the list
Well done very comprehensive review thanks !!!!!!!
I love this model
i will like to know the best and most cost effective SUV in the market, with less problem, i will appreciate a feedback thank you
Well, this is a hard question, because I don't know if you want an older or a newer / smaller or bigger SUV. But generally the most reliable are the Japanese SUVs equipped with naturally aspirated petrol engines.
anything 4wd, like highlander
the highlander is not a bad choice, you can check out the Nissan Armada too, which has similar reliability, but I would highly recommend the Toyota land cruiser which is generally even more reliable
what about the fuel consumption, please which one will you recommend between Ml350 4matic 2014 and Highlander 2014
the highlander has a bit lower consumtion, but the ML has better engine performance
Haha nice review mate, what do you think of a 8J Audi TT?
Nice car, but the 1.8 TFSI and also the 2.0 TFSI engines made to 2012 can have problems with the worn timing chain tensioners and also with the oil consumption-mainly the 1.8 TFSI. The 2.0 l TFSI can have problem also with the turbocharger. The DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox is great when it's working properly, but it can have electronic or mechanic problems which are expensive to fix.
different car review good to know, I am think of getting one, thanks for the info
Is the 2005 supercharget model as bad as the others.....
Jarno Salonen supercharged models didn’t come out until 2006, atleast in the US
You forgot another customer. The soccer mom.
Humza Sheikh mini vans are for soccer moms
Great review! Thanks!
Good review..!!!
I think we have some consumer advice here. . . If you’re considering a used Range Rover. . . Don’t
this was very helpful
Land Rover should seek advice on how to build RELIABLE, high quality vehicles from Toyota.
Light Surfer No car i uglier than a Toyota 😂
Lexus. Although they've had their share of problems too.
Keep serviced you won’t have too many problems
Great review, i'm looking forward to buy a 2011 Autobiography.
But I have other ones to check, what do you think about this other SUV's; Mercedes GL Class, Land Rover LR4, Nissan Armada and lastly Ford Expedition/Lincoln Navigator?😁
Appreciate your feedback.
The most reliable choice from these cars is the Nissan Armada and the Land Rover LR4.
The Mercedes GL review is here: ruclips.net/video/hNK-NwUHfNk/видео.html (the reliability of this GL is quite similar to the Range Rover)
However if you want the most luxurious (but not the most reliable) cars, then choose that Range Rover or the Mercedes GL.
different car review thanks very helpful info from watching the reviews, i have watched the GL review already.
I think my choice is down to LR4, Armada & the GL.
The only problem for with Armada is the poor rear visibility the D pillars and even on the front the A pillars are quite thick.
But overall reliability is the determining factor.
Thanks.
won't be buying one now though, great insight thanks
Very comprehensive.
mercedes gls can u make
Very good video mate !! Thanks
Thank you
i don't think range rover will ever see my money
COUSIN! IT IS YOUR COUSIN!!!
You want to go bowling???
Your from?
Buying a used Range Rover:
Step 1 - Don't
OfficialEpic222 ever. 😂
Why....?
Peter RYU electrical issues, drive train issues, & leakage issues to name a few. Only reason I know this is because I drive a Mini, which is also British.
lol
He's such a poor filthy wanker
"Common issues include.... the entire car... everything will break MULTIPLE times"
Here is best advice. If you are not mechanic, do not buy one. If you need to ask why, buy corolla.
Prix svp
Range Rover sport 05-13
3:11 the air suspension is crappier than this joke and a turd itself. Don't buy used Range Rovers. Please.
czech english. Am i right?
Range Rovers are hard. You can love it but, believe me, it doesn't always love you back. It's kinda like dating a German chick.
Too general a video to give me something. Truth is the more complex a car, the more you Have to take into consideration when buying/checking a used one. The problems are as usually 70% User related/ lack of maintenance....
Just got a new one. Was wondering what wouldve happened of I got second hand 😂
"Buying a used Range Rover..."
JUST DON'T! Unless you want to punish yourself
Or buy it with a bumper to bumper warranty
And 1998 Kaguar xj8
i dont care im Range Rover owner
Jaguar xj8 and xjs

English ? Did you took lessons from Borat? 😂😂
God that guys accent is absolutely annoying/ terrible. Can someone please re-record this with a native English person?
No fucking way!! His accent is awesome, specially when he is ranting
