Nice one guys exactly how I look at it. ALL cars have issues you need to be aware. The RR is a complicated, and brilliant, luxury vehicle you can't just buy it and drive it. You have to keep on top of maintenance. I'm glad you didn't go down the Doug Demouro path of simply showing all the warranty work. There is nothing like an RR!
Hey Mark! Thanks for commenting and watching. Your statement that there is nothing like a RR is very true. It is almost hard to put into words. I have driven many, many vehicles and there is just something special about this one. It is almost an experience words cannot describe. Maybe in that over engineering they have put something through the vents. 🤔
2008 range rover supercharged 4.2L supercharged with the uber rare Westminster Edition package bought at 165k has now after 10 months 171400 miles original everything minues the radiator, aux water pump and air compressor. That being said dont cheap out on cheap parts you will be replacing more often paying the savings in twice the labor per my independent certified land rover technician shop.
Why am I even considering buying one of these? Is my life going too well and I just need some drama and huge repair bills to knock me down s few notches?
2011 Supercharged. 110,000. New chains and guides directly into new transmission on the drive from the shop doing the timing chain. Wouldn’t trade the car for the world. Great series!! Need the 3rd video
@@PerformanceOnWheels Around town you still see about mid 20s if you’re light footed, which I’m not. 😂 I’ve had it remapped which now means instead of 308bhp and 516lbft torque, it has 370bhp and 600lbft of torque. It’s a Ford derived diesel and has two turbos, one for around town and the other spools up when you punch it. :)
Hey Guys. I love that you brought this vehicle to the channel. I love this series on what to look for and how to care for the vehicle. Range Rovers are awesome looking vehicles. This series will be helpful to those who want to buy one of these but afraid of the problems or knowing what to look for. Ok. I’m now headed to he second video in the series.
Hey, found a LR322 2011 on Auto Trader for 11k, the biggest thing that peaked my interested is that the odometer is 169k, however owner says 80k on second engine… Now seeing a new engine on this would make me consider esp watching and taking note of all the high value faults one might have (timing chains / rods, gaskets). I am awaiting a message back from her on her personal ownership, but would seeing a second replaced engine be a good thing to consider? Lmk!
@@PerformanceOnWheels saw the auto trader “car fax” 2, owners. Nothing stands out as “bad” but I want to question why is there an 80k engine redo… maybe it had some major factory fuck up.. lol stay tuned
@@RichVonWinkle for sure. Stay in the loop. A. First engine major malfunction. B. Second engine most likely still has faults from oem. In addition why was the engine available? Crashed car/water car...... Pull vin on motor if possible.

Good advice on parts! Thanks for watching and sharing.

Lol..... Could be. They suck you in. We just bought a new Land Rover. Check out those videos in the near future.
Lets find who has the highest mileage Land Rover/Range Rover out there. I drove an original drivetrain 2007 with 210,000 miles. What is your story?

Over in the UK our 322 has the 4.4TDV8 diesel engine. It can get 35mpg on a long run.
That is wild that a vehicle of this size can get mileage like that! How is around town driving? Are they turbo?

That's pretty cool
Yep, 36 mpg on a run thru France last year. 700nm of torque and an 8-speed auto make it happen
Nice one guys!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Does anyone know the size of those aftermarket rims and tires? They look like 22”. Any idea in tire profile? They look great.
I will have to look to see if I get find the tire size. Wheels are 20x9.5. I know the tires were a bit wider and taller factory but nothing dramatic.

Couple ways to view it. I would proceed with the same mentality of having $10k in the just in case piggy bank.
