Alexander Liebscher They can't do it. They lost the know how. Most of the people who engineered these tracks are dead or have moved on to other things. You ever notice how music today just doesn't sound like it did back then. Alot of it has to do with the equipment and recording techniques they had back then. It's all a lost art, like hand drawn animations, or porn with actual storylines. I'd hate to hear a watered down version of this song or similar songs recorded on inferior modern equipment and filtered to death. A lot of this stuff has to do with the magic in the air(some might say coke) during the time period. Lot of people don't like 80s movies cause they think they were brainless , too much flare and overly violent much like the actual 80s themselves. 80s film has a charm and place in my heart.
Today's music is well and truly shockingly shit. No real talent anymore it's all manufactured rigged pop bullshit. I remember when the soundtrack was part of the film and gave you the goosebumps. Not anymore just a load of noise
