It’s been more than 30 years since my father showed me and my brother this masterpiece. We would cheer for VanDamme against Chong Li and scream at every cool movement, and there were plenty of them. We would watch it every weekend, on Saturday afternoons of endless fun. These days helped us bond more than any other activity we would do together. We joined Karate classes and my brother showed incredible talent, even performing Van Damme’s leg split. This song literally brings tears to my eyes, because it reminds me of our childhood and the men we became. With all my heart I would like to thank all of the directors, producers, actors and musicians involved in the making of this film. You inspired us to be fighters. To fight to survive.

One of the greatest cult classic action movies of all-time. Van Damme and Bolo Yeung at their very best. Pure badassery. They don't make 'em like this anymore.

I literally just watched Bloodsport now for the 100th time since childhood, I remembered how I fell in love with this beautiful song...I still love after all these years coz of the memories of my late brother, we watched this movie together all the time using VCR
This movie changed my life. I was a clumsy fat kid. I had always loved karate and ninja type movies, but this is the one that pushed me over the edge to join a Marti arts school. I made friends, got in shape, and gained confidence.
This movie and this song got me throughout the 4 years of high school! I was always bullied for being overweight in HS, until I started training in Tae Kwon Do and lost weight 🥋 thank you JCVD for teaching me to stand up for myself and keep going forward even if life gets difficult, you’re my shidoshi 🤜🏼👋🏼🇰🇷🥋
@@matheuscardoso80 Bullying is a universal issue. It doesn't only happen in the US, but wedgies, swirlies, and stuffing children in their lockers happens every now and then... mostly in grade school.
Favorite movie of all time. Amazing soundtrack. Loved this growing up as a kid practicing martial arts. Watching this was part of my ritual before competition till covid hit
I love this song and I love Bloodsport. I'm a huge Van Damme fan, and Bloodsport and Kickboxer are my favorite movies of his. Van Damme is my favorite martial artist.
I took up martial arts in Junior High school and my teacher famous quote was: If you don't see blood you didn't do you're job correctly..... That stuck with me my whole life and I live by that law till this day 🙌💪🙌
I was a kid in the 80s and loved this movie. Now in my 40s, I have a Playlist of songs like this from back then to get me through some my workouts. I have Lupus, and some days it's hard to keep up with my workout schedule. But this kind of stuff helps me push myself.
I named my cat Jackson after him. The cat reached outside his cage and looked at us to say "You wanna take home a real big Cat?" and we did, and we did. He died after seven years with us and I still hear this song and think of him.
"Ok, USA!" "Arent you a little young for full contact? Arent you a little old for video games?" "I aint your pal, dickface!" "Whats the difference if Bruce Springsteen is his shidoshi?" "What the hell is a Dim Mak?" "You break my record, now i break you...like i break your friend!" "Very good...but brick not hit back!" "You....ARE NEXT!" "He's the american shithead who makes tricks with bricks!" So many classic quotes. One of those movies you can watch over and over again and never get tired of. Great music too!
I looked forward to this gem of a movie every Saturday on TBS for about 6 years. An amazing run. Almost as amazing as Frank Dux's career record of 329-0.
My son broke his femur he is only 10 years old he had to get a medal rod and 6 screws in his leg he didn’t believe he could walk again it’s been a emotional roller coaster for the family. But this song has been pushing him to the limit it’s amazing to see the power of this song helping him believe he can do it . This song , eye of the tiger, push it to the limit , etc it’s been a struggle but I no he will keep fighting
I remember back in the days when me and my dad used to watch Bloodsport maybe 7-10 times a week. It was one of our top three Van Damme movies along side with Hard Target & Lionheart. Good memories with my dad that I will forever cherish RIP

I literally just watched Bloodsport now for the 100th time since childhood, I remembered how I fell in love with this beautiful song...I still love after all these years coz of the memories of my late brother, we watched this movie together all the time using VCR
I love everthing about this movie. Like if you are with me 2019
Always
I grew up with JCVD movies
Here
Always
Just watched it yesterday 💪🏼
One of the best workout songs ever. It's up there with Hearts on Fire, Eye of the Tiger, Moment of Truth, You're the Best.
this song is such an underrated ballad. Should be up there with eye if the tiger
This movie changed my life. I was a clumsy fat kid. I had always loved karate and ninja type movies, but this is the one that pushed me over the edge to join a Marti arts school. I made friends, got in shape, and gained confidence.
I broke my coffee table, flipped over my couch, and drop kicked my grandma listening to this
LMAAOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
LEGENNNDD!🤣
Lmao
Iiterally screamed out of laughing. Hahaahahahahahah
Lol😂😂
This movie and this song got me throughout the 4 years of high school! I was always bullied for being overweight in HS, until I started training in Tae Kwon Do and lost weight 🥋 thank you JCVD for teaching me to stand up for myself and keep going forward even if life gets difficult, you’re my shidoshi 🤜🏼👋🏼🇰🇷🥋
You should also thank the real Fran Dux too. If it wasn’t for his story we wouldn’t know the Kumite existed.
@@mikeluna619 Frank Dux is a fucking joke. Nearly 100% of everything he ever claimed was a lie. He was a scam artist and a con man.
pulling on underwear, head down the toilet, getting stuck in a closet... Does this really happen in the US? Or is it a movie thing?
@@matheuscardoso80 Bullying is a universal issue. It doesn't only happen in the US, but wedgies, swirlies, and stuffing children in their lockers happens every now and then... mostly in grade school.
If this is a joke it's hilarious.. if serious even better!!.. JCVD is my hero
Stan Bush is CRIMINALLY underrated when talking about the best artists in the 80s. DUDE was the soundtrack to the movies of the 80s.
Yeah. He’s mostly known for his contributions to the 1986 Transformers movie.
Today’s generation will never have what we had in the 80s n 90s
I was just thinking that! Arnold, Sly, Van Damme, Seagal all in their primes making great movies!
I am 14 years old and i love this song and i listen songs from 70s 80s 90s
True
Born mid 90's, grew up watching (and listening) to glorious 80's and 90's movies and songs.
Soooooo fuckin true
Bloodsport is a great movie, and each time I hear this song I'm instantly transported back to my early teens!
Same feelings bro I ve seen this movie about 250 times
@@giovanniromano535 Same here! 😉 👊
Same here man

The end of bloodsport is my favorite scene. When the chick bow at him and he bow back than this song c'mon

I fight to survive too homie!! Yeah!!
The entire soundtrack is nothing short of spectacular. On my own, another classic track by Stan Bush.
"Say it... say it... Mate !!!"
Favorite movie of all time. Amazing soundtrack. Loved this growing up as a kid practicing martial arts. Watching this was part of my ritual before competition till covid hit
God bless your soul child
It was a great movie, but it was big down for me when I found out it was all a big lie
😎🤟
I love this song and I love Bloodsport. I'm a huge Van Damme fan, and Bloodsport and Kickboxer are my favorite movies of his. Van Damme is my favorite martial artist.
I took up martial arts in Junior High school and my teacher famous quote was:
If you don't see blood you didn't do you're job correctly.....
That stuck with me my whole life and I live by that law till this day 🙌💪🙌
I watched this movie so many times growing up. It always came on TBS. One of my favorite movies ever!
Gotta love 80s action film soundtrack anthems , particularly those by Stan Bush. Awesome stuff.
This is for you, shidoshi.
+Pranay Tashan your gay,fuck Pokemon
This dude never seen bloodsport...LOL
What's the difference if Bruce Springsteen is his shidoshi?
+posquale21 lmao
Dicks out for kumite!
This song sends chill up my back remembering me and my cousins watching this as little kids. Great song and great soundtrack.
I was a kid in the 80s and loved this movie. Now in my 40s, I have a Playlist of songs like this from back then to get me through some my workouts. I have Lupus, and some days it's hard to keep up with my workout schedule. But this kind of stuff helps me push myself.
Back in a time when arcade machines ruled!

Yo.. my father showed me this movie while I was 5 .. now Im 30 gotta watch it with my son he is 2.5 😁❤️💯
The movie that inspired every fighting game ever
Metroid Whisperer It's a really cool movie but I'd have said Bruce Lee myself.
Mortals Kombat stage "The Pit" actually is inspired by this.
Samurai Shodown ?!
To be fair plot elements from this movie were from Enter the dragon
nope
that's moron combat movie 1
*Ray throws opponent out the ring*
“GO HOME!”
Yes! 😂
The big brother we all want
I named my cat Jackson after him.
The cat reached outside his cage and looked at us to say "You wanna take home a real big Cat?" and we did, and we did.
He died after seven years with us and I still hear this song and think of him.
Go Home to Mommy!!
I still watch this movie once a year since I was a kid in the 90s.
"Ok, USA!"
"Arent you a little young for full contact?
Arent you a little old for video games?"
"I aint your pal, dickface!"
"Whats the difference if Bruce Springsteen is his shidoshi?"
"What the hell is a Dim Mak?"
"You break my record, now i break you...like i break your friend!"
"Very good...but brick not hit back!"
"You....ARE NEXT!"
"He's the american shithead who makes tricks with bricks!"
So many classic quotes. One of those movies you can watch over and over again and never get tired of. Great music too!
Vintage King hey babe wanna go out with a real big man no huh too handsome for you huh Honey

I looked forward to this gem of a movie every Saturday on TBS for about 6 years. An amazing run. Almost as amazing as Frank Dux's career record of 329-0.
Except the real Dux is full of crap.
Frank Dux is a con artist. It's amazing story but not true at all.

Happy 30th anniversary Bloodsport!
I was not born when the movie was in the cinema but i loved it and i will forever ❤
" YOU BREAK MY RECORD, NOW I BREAK YOU!!! LIKE I BREAK YOUR FRIEND!!" The Legendary Quote of
CHONG LI
My son broke his femur he is only 10 years old he had to get a medal rod and 6 screws in his leg he didn’t believe he could walk again it’s been a emotional roller coaster for the family. But this song has been pushing him to the limit it’s amazing to see the power of this song helping him believe he can do it . This song , eye of the tiger, push it to the limit , etc it’s been a struggle but I no he will keep fighting
Happy 35th you made my childhood as a man and warrior this generation isn't ready for these type of combat
1988 to 2024 is 36 years. 😂😂😂
This song amps me up for the gym, and from Aug 1st to Dec 1st, I've lost 30lbs
Them 80s action movies songs make a good playlist at the gym. I be in that shit getting it in to this lol

I remember back in the days when me and my dad used to watch Bloodsport maybe 7-10 times a week. It was one of our top three Van Damme movies along side with Hard Target & Lionheart. Good memories with my dad that I will forever cherish RIP
