If I could give this as many thumbs up as it would take to get the whole cast to notice this shit I would bro! Look, I thought i was the ONLY one in the entire world who made as much of these movies as I did, and I know that Eric Roberts supposedly stated that the ONLY reason he came back for this one was to "make up for the first one and how bad it was" because apparently, a lot of people said the first movie "wasted" it's "top drawer cast". Well ya know I was so damn excited when this came out, my cousins and I went to 16,000 movies which was a video store at the time, and rented it, and I loved it as much as the first, if only for very different reasons, and THIS along with the first film are the best storytelling you can ever get in a martial arts movie,... this is a SUPREME buddy comedy mixed with action drama and WHATEVER else you can shove into a movie that even resembles entertaining and I have no idea why the critics, or very many people didn't like the first one either...but there ARE two more, even though neither one of them have anything to do with the original story..and I will probably ALWAYS say the first two Best Of The Best movies are my favorite of the genre, and I even got the 3rd movie signed by Dee Wallace, who played the role of Owen Tucker's mom in the 3rd movie..(he was a white supremacist who wanted to kill Tommy for being Asian, until he had a change of heart) Speaking of heart..that's something these movies have plenty of..and I just wanna say I appreciate you for saying it was your childhood! Because these movies along with Power Rangers was basically mine, and they taught me everything I needed to know about teamwork, friendship, loss, victory, and many other things from a young age! ( I was 4 when the 1st one hit theaters, and the 2nd 3rd & 4th didn't get theater releases), I still love it and I always will! Peace and love my friend! Have a good one!
