I totally agree. I personally don't exclusively celebrate Christ's birth. I focus more on the life he lived on earth, and the eternal purpose of that. My thoughts are on that at some time every day of the year. My focus doesn't require the commercialized aspect. I love to see those; however, it is not what I judge anyone for.

I think some people have to have a reason to 'flaunt' whatever they believe and the extent of their so-called knowledge. I am not a religious person, and agree with Aaron's take on the birthday. But that's a whole other conversation. I just love the decorations and usually leave mine up until the middle of January. I understand GA's reasons for un-decorating early, what with the filming, etc. It's all time sensitive... And THEN another one may complain about leaving the decorations up TOO long😵‍💫😉😹😹. Can't run everyone's lives....

Do what makes you happy. Do the same in your home. And we appreciate all of your content. ❤️I appreciate you guys putting yourselves out there for all of the comments you receive. You are educators, and it is so appreciated.❤️ I also need to say that I don't do New Year's resolutions. I set goals daily for myself to be productive, but not yearly. Good morning HAPPY NEW YEAR Garden Answer fam - Laura you probably think your videos are redundant. You do certain things certain times over and over again. But you guys are gathering more and more followers who want to become great gardeners or want to improve their gardening. I’m pretty sure every hour there’s somebody new that’s watching! Now there are a lot of videos that you guy put out that I cannot apply to my garden situation at the moment. I watch and put the information in the back of my mind…like the seed starting, seed organizing all that stuff. Well I’m actually going to start using them this month. That is one of my resolutions: to grow other flowers than sunflowers from seed. I’ve already started I’ve collected amaryllis (Hippeasrtum) seeds. So please please please keep filming & keep talking about your process for growing in managing your garden spaces. And thank you and everyone!!!

I have three kids 34, 21, my baby is 18, and I will be 60 this year. I treasure all my before and after photos because they are the most photos I have of my kids. Your passion shows when you tell stories about growing up around doing things in your parent's family home, and garden center. Go back and watch your face telling the stories. We as the viewer find this heart felt. I love how your kids and animals are a part of your life weather you planned or didn't plan for them to show up. I have never had mother time with my Mother she was always a nurses maid to my I'll father who couldn't be left alone for an hour. It's also wonderful to see this side of your husband and yourself discussing the videos and what you would like to try to do this year. I am a viewer because you guys are living your dayley life and it's not a scripted movie. That's what I love about watching. It also motivates me to get and do things while watching as well. It give me ideas for my home. Your doing it right. Don't second guess your family life the kids are a part of what you guys do. And who you have grown to be. You only get 18 years with them at home as your children. I morn each day that my small children are gone. I love who they have turned out to be! But miss my little ones.

I love the variety you offer in your videos. The ones with your mom and sister are some of my favorites not because of what you’re doing but because your interactions with each other are so fun. Seeing you lovingly tease and joke with each other is great! I enjoy seeing you and Aaron discuss what you each like and how you come to final plans for everything from the land and gardens to the house. I originally thought you shouldn’t paint the woodwork in the piano room but after seeing it in this video it’s clear that the finish on it probably isn’t original to the house. I love both rich wood moldings where you can see the grain of the wood, like oak, as well as painted. I think it might be nice to see what kind of wood all that molding is made out of. If there is beautiful oak or mahogany under that finish it might look beautiful stripped. Lots of antique furniture used to be stained very dark, almost black, but when stripped you find gorgeous wood grains and colors of the natural wood. If it’s just a bunch of random stuff put together then painting is the way to go. I think painting that room a lighter color would be beautiful and would set off the piano. If you kept dark wood a pale sky blue would look gorgeous. “Light” doesn’t have to be white. 😊

I always learn something new from watching you 👍🏻 and it motivates us to do, not just watch. Winter sowing can’t be rewarding in a climate where you have to keep checking and heroic watering 🙄. That’s more work! The beauty of winter sowing is to set it & forget it. No watering and to be amazed that great things happen without your effort. It makes me glad my climate is winter sowing friendly and balances out the advantage you enjoy with cooler night temps in the heat of summer.
