I first heard about Hoselink from you and Aaron. I talked to my husband about purchasing one as we are growing older and dragging that hose around was the most difficult thing to do. He rolled his eyes! We purchased one last year and both agree that it is the best investment we've made. We are planning to order another one in the spring. You mentioned that you don't want to plant orange tulips alongside pink tulips..... Orange and pink is one of my favorite color combinations!!! I think it's best when the shades, or intensities, of the colors are near the same. Like I wouldn't use a dark orange with a light pink. But I love having my pink echinacea next to my orange day lilies. Try it sometime!

I have plantar fasciitis too, from walking upwards of 21,000 steps/shift at work. If Laura sees this, she needs to make sure she addresses her heal pain asap, because if it’s PF, it can be debilitating. I’m in a FB group for it and found stretching exercises that made a world of difference. Also, wearing supportive shoes for my high arches (Vionics, Algeria- lots of people wear Hoka shoes but I don’t have experience with them). It’s been 2 years and I’m finally better, but know it’s still there and could come back if I don’t take good care of my feet and calf.

I started wearing my Birkenstock softbed slide sandals everywhere including in the house as those were the only shoes that didn't cause pain. I then ordered a marked down pair just for wearing in the house. No more heel pain and I can now wear other shoes! I should have been wearing good arched shoes in the house years ago.

Heel pain may be plantar fasciitis. I'm a runner and that's where it presents for me, which is a classic symptom. It may not have been bad Vans, but rather wearing the same type of shoe/sole repeatedly. Swapping to different sole types helps. I also find wearing a low heeled shoe intermittently can help. Also try warming up your feet before you get out of bed. When your angry fascia is suddenly stretched when getting out of bed and putting your weight on it, it can become worse. Those are my best nuggets of advice! - Kati, Levi's wife ;)

What about using the pictures that were sent in to make some videos ahead. Then when you want to take a day off, birthdays, etc. You have a few videos saved back.

Good morning! Just have to share my funny but awesome Hoselink story with you… I had told my husband late last summer that all I wanted for Christmas was a Hoselink, he agreed and I waited till closer to Christmas to order. Unbeknownst to me my daughter who also loves to garden knew that I wanted one for Christmas snd ordered one for me… wait the story gets more interesting.. my son in law knew how much my daughter wanted one also so he ordered one for her for Christmas! Wait there is more to this story 😂😂 ! So a couple weeks before Christmas I got on their website and placed my order for mine and thought well Jessica would really like one of these to! So with the bulk pricing Hoselink offered I ordered her one also…a few days later I was talking to my son in law and told him I had ordered the Hoselink for Jessica and there was a long drawn out silence on the phone…he was like Oh you didn’t?!!! So long story short we each ended up with 2 Hoselink and we couldn’t be more excited for spring to get here to use them!

I do have a good amount of slags and snails in my garden... But a natural way, I deal with it, is, that I try to attract hedgehogs! If you are lucky enough to have these cute little critters around, then they will actually eat slugs and snails! So I have a little pond, that is accessible for small animals. I also made sure, that if an animal where to fall in the water, there is ways to easily get out of the water again!! That is important to remember! And I have hedges and bushes, for hidingplaces. I actually also keep a few "messy" and undisturbed, quiet corners in my garden, all for the hedgehogs to have safe spaces.

One suggestion plz guys... all of the gardens are pretty much from people who have money. I really dont see any videos from the lower class. I think these gardens are beautiful but unrealistic for lower income people. Good inspiration for sure but makes me like I could never achieve any of it. Which is hilarious to me that I've heard people complain about what you do isn't within their means... but that's different. I dont expect to achieve the scale of your garden and budget. However the viewers are sending in pictures of gardens that are almost on the same level of your garden.

I am 45 and can't even wear regular shoes without inserts. Some of the brands I like are help my feet are Vionics and Chocos. They are expensive but worth it because if you don't take care if your feet then your back will start giving you issues. Then your legs and then your neck and.....basically you just start falling apart lol. Good luck! Keep everything you do the way you do it. That's why you're the most watched gardening channel on YT!

I completely agree about the birthdays! I am 39 yr old and my childhood birthdays always felt magical because I ate whatever was my favorite food and picked the cake- and it was always celebrated at home! I have continued that with my toddlers- 6,4,and 2. First birthday was a big one and the rest are just immediate family, favorite food and cake. I honestly do not know why or how people always make such big displays. Besides setting the standard, how can you spend that much money each year, especially for multiple children! Put it away for them for the future instead. Thanks for another great recap.

Winter sowing tip for slug prone areas: fan out a pleated coffee filter to cover inside the bottom of the jug before adding soil. Really helps keep slugs from coming in the bottom drainage holes. It’s not a perfect fit but very effective. Keep soil loss to a minimum also. 🌟

Laura, look up plantar fasciitis. I was sidelined for 4 years with it switching from my left foot to my right foot back and forth. I work full time and needed help many many times to get out of the car after an hour long drive at the end of the day. It Started out feeling like i had stepped on a stone and bruised my heel. My poor garden ended up getting destroyed from lack of care. And the reason was my favorite shoes i wore all the time for a decade or so. They were the $$$ clogs a lot of healthcare workers wear. i had 4 pairs in beautiful designs. I always knew one shoe was looser but never thought it would create such an issue.
I Did the boot thing and wore more supportive shoes which helped me do my job at least but once i worked all day and hobbled indoors i was done!
I finally started to feel better a few months after starting b complex vitamins for legs cramps that started happening nightly.
That and good shoes got me on my feet again but let me tell you I can handle pain and this was disabling, not to mention exhausting and disheartening to struggle with for so long.
Thats just my story not that it might get that bad for you but many ppl have had it worse than me so I wanted to ask you to please not ignore it because it suddenly feels a little better a little worse. Your life closes in when it hurts too much do all things you are used to doing. You definitely dont want that.
