Thank you for sharing your storage suggestions. The first name that came to mind for your adorable little kitten was Picket since he was found on your fence :)
I store all holiday in clear plastic bins and label them placing the label taped INSIDE the bin, facing out. That way the label is easily visible and does not get disturbed.
This is exactly how I have all my decorations and I also have everything listed. It took some time but makes it way better when getting things in and out.

This is how I store all of my seasonal decor. Small things in ziplock bags and each season in a color tote that goes with that particular season. Like fall in orange totes, Christmas in red and green, Easter in purple and pink…ect

My Mom and Dad are I older, and they have always rescued cats. But a cat had cat scratch fever, he was in the hospital 🏥 for a week. And they released him and he passed away from poor heart circulation. He's been taking care of cats 🐈 so everyone please be careful with cat scratch fever it can kill you!

I love the new pastels for Halloween. I am a Baptist and we don’t do Halloween at all. Using the pastels gives it a more cheerful feel than the normal dome and gloom of traditional Halloween colors. I would do pastels for sure

Lauren, it is so nice slipping into a fresh clean made bed after a long hard day. After I get my whole house clean I do like to relax and take it all in for maybe 20 minutes before I start on something else. Your new kitten is sweet. We had one show up in May starved down and so tiny. This makes our fifth stray in the last four years. We have Bruno, Bluey, Cricket, Mittens, and now Gizzie. Cant wait to see you decorate for the upcoming holidays. They do come so fast when school starts back up dont they. Take care, bye 👋

Have you tried boil and branch? I love their bedding a lot more than brooklyn. I find the quality is better in boil and branch. It is a bit more pricey but worth it. I have had one set of sheets for 3 years. They still look brand new. My brooklyn set ended up getting a whole in the bottom sheet after a year. I usually just swap them when I was a set. I love your videos! I am thankful you have been able to post while being back to work.

I also use zip lock bags for decor and when breaking down furniture items. I put all the hardware for that piece in a bag, label with a sharpie and tape it to the back of the item. I also do this for extra screws, etc when putting furniture together, in case I need to replace any hardware. I use to be very organized with my decorations and Christmas ornaments, but I've kind of gotten away from that through some stressful years. I have a list of Christmas ornaments collection, where received, from, and date. This way it is there for my son to help him remember. I have ornaments back to the early 1900s from my grandparents. You have helped me get back to organizing and start cooking healthy, so thank you so much! ❤

I have 2 girl kitties. They love to hunt. Heard female are the best mouse catchers! Eww. Don’t give up hope on lost cat. We actually reunited a cat with owner after several months & miles away. Saw post on our local shelter after finding him in our backyard. I had already named him but my husband found the lost cat posting. Darn him. lol Your new kitty is indeed precious. He looks like he’s wearing a beret. So tell your husband to name him Pierre. 🤣

People always say get a boy cat and a girl dog for the best personalities, training ease, etc. I love them all! I love organization videos. Your kitten is beautiful 😻 He looks so much like a kitten I had. His name was Peace but sadly he passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly from an undisclosed heart condition at 11 months. Although we only had him with us for a short time, he made such an impact on the whole family and we loved him so much. Whenever I think of him I say a little prayer that he’s happy and safe wherever he is. I did a double take when I saw your thumbnail as your kitten is the spitting image of my lovely Peace ❤

I keep a bin that I add those items that turn up when I think I have put everything away. I also add any items that I find on sale or vacation or get as a gift. Then each holiday, I take that bin, go through it and pull out any decorations that apply. When the holiday is over, those decorations are packed away with all the other ones for that holiday and the process starts over.

I store my decor in bins, and they are in different areas of my basement, all fall in one corner, Christmas is an entire wall of bins, the other holidays have their own bins on a shelving unit. I've started getting most of my decor at At Home, also Hobby Lobby. I'll be putting up my Fall and Halloween in a couple weeks, my husband is having major neck surgery the first week of August and I won't have any time for decorating after that, but I'm excited to decorate.

I don't even shop for decor. I window shop while watching videos lol but don't have the money nor storage to keep. Normally I decorate with red, white, and blue the week before Memorial Day and redecorate for fall the day after Labor Day. That way I don’t have to worry about it during lake season. We go to the lake every clear weekend until Labor Day. My dream is to someday have a home on a lake with a dry dock.

Michaels 2024 Halloween decor is very Gen Z. It would look really cute in Postmodern apartments. I did see fun roses at Michaels with eyes and scary teeth coming out of them. I'm doing more gothic vibes this year. I have a lot of silver serving ware and it's fun to bring it out at Halloween.
