I love how creative you are with your food and how you use foods in different ways to improve them rather than just throwing them out because you don’t like them. It’s so refreshing and inspiring ❤
22:08 I believe the peanut udon noodle salad is not meant to be eaten from the container it is in. The sauce packet is on the bottom because they are expecting customers to dump the contents of the container into a larger bowl and then the sauce packet is on the top of the food when you do that. Also I think that’s why is more then 1 serving. I believe it’s meant to be a side dish or have something added to it for protein to make it a meal rather then a ready to go lunch item.
totally kno what u mean when u talk abt peasant-y meals. sometimes i have a slice of cheese on bread and i feel like a victorian child about to head to work in the mines
Emily the orange chicken is amazing if you put it in the air fryer first and then mix it with the sauce in a pan...amazing! Also the ravioli is waaay better and also cheaper than the kite Hill one which has half the amount for twice the money. I LOVE your channel and binge watch you all the time! You are so cool and uniquely you!!! 💕
THE VEGAN CREAM CHEESE IS THE BEST VEGAN CREAM CHEESE IVE HAD. YOU NEED TO TRY IT !!!! maybe a cream cheese/strawberry/brioche french toast type situation would be delicious?
I am new to your channel, and trying to go vegan/incorporate mre vegan meals. I am trying to avoid faux meat products (health and cost reasons). I really enjoy your videos and I hope to find somewhere you are cooking, for inspiration! Tonight I am making spaghetti sauce with tomatoes, peppers, onions and lentils. I'm really interested in frugality, the environment and I am working at taking off a considerable amount of weight. Thank you for the inspiration!
Bruh I’m pretty sure this is THE best vegan channel? I kinda forget or don’t watch consistently and then when I come back I’m just like damn this is just so chill. Vegan ranch excites me
I love using vegan feta as a queso fresco replacement. 🖤 on tacos, vegan chilequiles, on top of some beans & rice, or street corn! Basically anything mexican food related haha.
Highly recommend buying chocolate chips from the bulk section. Both my local Co-op & Winco stock semi-sweet chocolate chips that happen to be dairy free for like $5/lb, whereas most pre-bagged ones have dairy, unless you buy the priceyer vegan/allergen free ones (and bonus, less packaging waste).
Vegan grilled cheese hack….put the cheese on one slice of bread then microwave for 30-ish seconds. Once the cheese has started to melt, top it with the other slice of bread and fry in a pan until both sides are brown. Whole process takes 4 minutes and you have melted cheese every time! 💃
You're so creative with your meals!! Omg I missed these videos. Your rant on morsels was so funny! And I just had a salad kit from Trader Joe's today, they are the absolute best ! So convenient!
my all time favorite trader joes meal: the precooked steamed lentils, wild arugula and BRUSCHETTA SAUCE. sometimes add a splash of balsamic vinegar. makes the perfect lentil salad, a super delicious balanced meal that only takes 1 minute to make. i seriously eat it 4-5 times every week and force all my friends to try it.
Spicy lentil wrap with tahini is my favorite packaged "lunch"/"dinner" vegan option they have as well! I have bought it too many times. I need to just make it myself lol. As far as the udon noodle bowl goes, I always just empty it out into another bowl that I have that's bigger and it's much easier to stir, no mess. I don't buy it often unless I'm lazy, but it's alright
Emily i've been watching your vids for a while but I never took the time to comment and say how much i love your content! You always are a source of calm, wholesome entertainment and you always seem to inspire me to do something different with my boring meals! Love you, keep it up!!
The feta is so so so good, I had also not had feta before so idk how accurate BUT. My mom and I found a recipe for walnut, pear, and feta pasta in a vegetarian cookbook, veganized it, and it's absolutely our favorite meal now!!
Vegan Asian staple must have: Mushroom seasoning!!!!! Use in place of bouillon. I’m drinking a mug of kelp/kombu, dandelion root, mushroom seasoning, salt, pepper, nooch, turmeric with blanched kailan broccoli…… spicy and yum
The trader Joe's vegan cream cheese is the best I've ever had! You have to whip it up a bit with fork for best consistency but it tastes like Philadelphia cream cheese straight up
I love TJ and recently discovered the spicy lentil wrap when I was caught on the road and was starving for a fast meal. So yummy! But I’ve never tried the pesto. I’ll have to give that a go!
the vegan feta is my FAVE df trader joes product. I recommend it to everyone and it is always a hit! Great for salads, sandwiches, and pasta toppings (it kinda? tastes like feta? but also just is delicious)
great video, thanks so much. You hit most of my favorite items. Their cream cheese and feta are great. Not a fan of the others. Violife makes an amazing parm, choa makes a great slice cheese for grilled cheese. The cream cheese I blend with scallions in my food processor... amazing! The feta I mix with garlic, oregano, trader joes' sundried tomatoes, pasta and top with thinly sliced fennel. The pasta melts the cheese and with some pasta water makes a great sauce. I felt compelled to share as a thank you.
I bought the pantry meatless ground and it really reminded of ground turkey/chicken. It needs A LOT of flavoring added, its very plain. I did enjoy the texture and it could be used for a lot of different things because it's so plain. It's also a very good protein/calories ratio. Really good if you're excersizing/building 💪!
I just ate the spinach cashew ravioli and u were right its really good I ate it with a red pasta sauce and some vegan parm but they didn't have any vegan salad kits at all! ! I'm a serious picky eater too I eat alot of the things u eat ; )
Emily i just appreciate you so much. I feel like our vegan experience is so similar as i agree with a lot of your opinions and i also mainly shop at Aldi
the peanut udon salad is my absolutely FAVORITE but I always pour it all into a bigger bowl to mix it up and eat because yes, the container it comes in is just too small to mix it all and its just too inconvenient having the sauce pack at the bottom
The vegan tikka masala in the frozen section is bomb, would definitely recommend grabbing one next time you go to trader joe's. Also, this is something you can buy anywhere but I always grab the soft and juicy dried mango, it's very yummy if you need a sweet snack.
the violife parmesan is the best one by far imo and around me it's like 5 dollars for a wedge that lasts me maybe a month? also if you liked the korean style of non-spicy rice cake you would probably really like the chinese version! instead of boiling it with the seasoning it's stir fried but it's also sweet and savory with lots of veggies.
Also, LOVE the new vegan Thai style wheat noodles! They are pretty fragile and break apart a bit, but they are so nice and soft and is a great udon noodle substitute in a soup or stir fry.
i love sliced rice cakes,, i usually make tteokbokki, ramen, or any soup really, with those instead of the tube-shaped ones. the ones that i've bought (korean brands from asian grocery stores) are so nice and chewy *-*
We love the beef less ground stuff…meat?…it doesn’t make great Pattie’s, it falls apart, but in spaghetti sauce, or taco meat, it is really good! Very nice flavor.
They were giving out samples of the meaatless crumbles when I was there the other day. It was pretty good with a tortilla chip, so I got some. I haven't used it yet, but the sample was good! It's basically TVP.
i dont think ive ever seen such unanimous disappointment at a trader joes product as this one lol i honestly didnt see it when i went but i probably wouldve got it for the video haha
It was not the best cooked by itself, but probably better used incorporated as an ingredient in a recipe. It's good that TJ'S has a good return policy.
as a tjs employee the consumer choice awards are always so funny. i’m also not surprised at all that the chili lime rolled chips won bc ppl will literally come through my line and buy ten bags at once its insane. although usually the mandarin orange chicken wins so 🤷♀️
It's a super power to go into Trader Joes & NOT spend $100. Girl, you're good. Also, that white tea looked so pretty!!!! That pesto basil cashew is the moon in my night sky. Mmmhm. I did. It deserves poetry. Another favorite is baked tofu but at $4+ a package, it's difficult to justify. I digress......walking into a Trader Joes is like my birthday everyday. Love it. :D
The best way to make a vegan grilled cheese (in my opinion) is to microwave the ungrilled sandwich for a few seconds. Probably no more than 30 sec and then butter it up and grill it. The microwave always melts the cheese way better than the stove or oven for me.
i honestly agree! i do that a lot of the time but it can mess with the bread texture if you microwave too long but it's so much easier lol. for lazy times i microwave it then just throw it in the airfryer tbh
I love the Trader Joe’s mandarin morsels. Also agree that describing it that way is weird… really good protein option though! Tip: I air fry them so I don’t have to brown them on both sides. Much easier! Delicious, and my non-vegan parents agree!
Some of my fave products are their maple espresso tea, gluten free coffee cinnamon muffins(not vegan if I remember), stuffing flavor kettle chips, orange chicken morsels, plain cashew yogurt, vegetable biryani, sourdough loaf, and you guessed it the kale pesto. I remember the beefless ground beef not being that good. Only bought it once and guess there's a reason why I never bought it again.
If you like spicy, give their Zhoug sauce a try! It’s amazing. I add it after cooking to keep all the fresh flavor, and freeze leftovers in ice cube trays. It’s amazing and I love it. I don’t think the package says vegan super explicitly, but the website does and it is. It’s probably not a big deal to most people, but I *really* don’t love their tortillas. There are so so many easy to find and better tortillas in the world.
On the topic of vegan chocolate chips, I dunno if you have Wegman's near you but they have their own brand of chocolate chips. they're so good and cheap! they used to be $1.99 but they've gone up a little bit over time and now they're like $2.30. I use them for pancakes, cookies, sprinkled in parfaits, or just eat them out of the bag hehe
I HAD to stop and comment 😂 the point on the boba straw is to poke through the plastic cover they usually seal onto the cup when you go to boba shops. You don't have that at home so you don't need the point
emily we literally love u!!!!!!!! here in humboldt CA the closest TJ's is in Redding and I'm feeling tempted to commute! your vids are my fave to watch on the go while I eat at school so thanks hehe
yesssss the spicy lentil wrap 🥵 my trader joe’s fav is the unsweetened cranberry juice - and tofurkey, vegan cream cheese and plain bagels 😍 also i like their seasonal creamers.
LOL I hear you on the vegan Bolognese it's straight up chef boyardee! But kind of a good thing for me. I added nooch and a bit of salt and put it over kite hill ravioli, and it was amazing- so nostalgic
We are so blessed to spend a whole 30 minutes with Emily 💖
I love how creative you are with your food and how you use foods in different ways to improve them rather than just throwing them out because you don’t like them. It’s so refreshing and inspiring ❤
the beefless bulgogi in the freezer section is so good, literally a game changer. I usually microwave it then stir fry and it turns out incredible
We love this stuff! I've been making it so much
it was too realistic of a beefy flavor i literally couldn’t eat it bc my brain kept thinking it was real meat and making me feel grossed out lollll
I love it too! I stir fry it with their Thai Wheat Noodles, Broccoli, baby bell peppers, mushrooms and scallions.
Thai wheat noodles! They're like udon and they rock.
These videos never feel long enough. It’s like hanging out with a friend and being sad to leave because you’re having so much fun❤
you are literally my comfort person
Her voice is so calming. Her videos are relaxing to me . 😊
the trader Joe's vegan feta is ELITE truly one of the most accurate vegan cheeses on the market
"When you have low expectations, you live a happy life." -- words to live by!
Trader Joe’s is my go-to store, so I basically go there every day. I miss their southwest/black bean burrito and I loooove the tahini lentil wrap.
I would definitely try making vegan french toast with the brioche bread I feel like that would be so good!
yes i kept saying i would do that but then i just kept eating it hahaha
totally kno what u mean when u talk abt peasant-y meals. sometimes i have a slice of cheese on bread and i feel like a victorian child about to head to work in the mines
I second this! Best way to make the lil morsels!
Certainly the air fryer is next level
trader joes has a coconut ice cream thats coffee flavored with boba balls and it might be my favorite product they sell
THE VEGAN CREAM CHEESE IS THE BEST VEGAN CREAM CHEESE IVE HAD. YOU NEED TO TRY IT !!!! maybe a cream cheese/strawberry/brioche french toast type situation would be delicious?
Daiya cheese slices have gotten a lot better! !
I am new to your channel, and trying to go vegan/incorporate mre vegan meals. I am trying to avoid faux meat products (health and cost reasons). Bruh I’m pretty sure this is THE best vegan channel? I kinda forget or don’t watch consistently and then when I come back I’m just like damn this is just so chill.
Vegan ranch excites me
YESSSS I feel like I manifested this post today lol I was just thinking how I'd love another Emily vid soon :')
I love using vegan feta as a queso fresco replacement. 🖤 on tacos, vegan chilequiles, on top of some beans & rice, or street corn! Basically anything mexican food related haha.
That sounds so good!!

These videos are always just so cosy, I feel like I look forward to them more than other vegan youtubers I follow.

You're so creative with your meals!! Omg I missed these videos. Your rant on morsels was so funny! And I just had a salad kit from Trader Joe's today, they are the absolute best ! So convenient!
the vegan feta is a must try if you haven’t had it yet. it’s so good
like way better than all other of their vegan cheeses
AMAZING
YES!
yes so good!!
I want to try that!
YAY!!! Sooo excited to get cozy and watch this tonight...looooove the longer videos soo much
my all time favorite trader joes meal: the precooked steamed lentils, wild arugula and BRUSCHETTA SAUCE. sometimes add a splash of balsamic vinegar. makes the perfect lentil salad, a super delicious balanced meal that only takes 1 minute to make. i seriously eat it 4-5 times every week and force all my friends to try it.
I was literally gonna comment this same recipe but I add the vegan feta and lemon. SO GOOD and really good with the pita chips
Emily is the chillest vegan ~
Spicy lentil wrap with tahini is my favorite packaged "lunch"/"dinner" vegan option they have as well! I have bought it too many times. I need to just make it myself lol. I don't buy it often unless I'm lazy, but it's alright
oh and the samosa vegetable burrito is pretty decent. id give it a 6 or 7 out of 10. tastes like a samosa, but wrapped in a burrito
I could so live w/ Emily and cook w/ her and eat w/ her:)))) such a zen vibe:))))💚💚💚
Emily i've been watching your vids for a while but I never took the time to comment and say how much i love your content! You always are a source of calm, wholesome entertainment and you always seem to inspire me to do something different with my boring meals! Love you, keep it up!!
idea for fig butter: what about making a fig cinnamon roll
The feta is so so so good, I had also not had feta before so idk how accurate BUT. My mom and I found a recipe for walnut, pear, and feta pasta in a vegetarian cookbook, veganized it, and it's absolutely our favorite meal now!!

same!! it’s by far my go to road trip meal and i was literally planning on getting one today!!

This was really everything i needed this week!!!

I did enjoy the texture and it could be used for a lot of different things because it's so plain. It's also a very good protein/calories ratio. Really good if you're excersizing/building 💪!
i think it’s supposed to be plain so that it soaks up any flavor you add. looks like tvp
Finally you pop up in my feed! Usually I find out your posted like a week later
I just ate the spinach cashew ravioli and u were right its really good I ate it with a red pasta sauce and some vegan parm but they didn't have any vegan salad kits at all! ! I'm a serious picky eater too I eat alot of the things u eat ; )
longing for the day I have three little non dairy friends to share three little trader joe's oat chocolate bars with :')
Emily i just appreciate you so much. I feel like our vegan experience is so similar as i agree with a lot of your opinions and i also mainly shop at Aldi

Thank you for all the effort you put into this video!
i used the oat chocolate bars (and the vegan marshmallows when they’re in season) for vegan s’mores!! 😍 it’s perfect imo
do not buy the trader joe’s eggless egg it is one of the worst things i’ve ever eaten!! the vegan feta is fire though
Wow, and I was on the verge of getting it on my next trip there
Oh my god yes what was that! I couldn't believe they would sell something so bad
i dont think ive ever seen such unanimous disappointment at a trader joes product as this one lol i honestly didnt see it when i went but i probably wouldve got it for the video haha
It was not the best cooked by itself, but probably better used incorporated as an ingredient in a recipe. It's good that TJ'S has a good return policy.
Lol I met the CEO of that product the other day 😂 he’s got some Italian mob vibes
Last time I made the frozen ravioli, I steamed them and that worked better than boiling.
I love their veggie samosas, the thai veggie dumplings, and their hashbrowns! I really want to try that samosa burrito though :o
as a tjs employee the consumer choice awards are always so funny. i’m also not surprised at all that the chili lime rolled chips won bc ppl will literally come through my line and buy ten bags at once its insane. although usually the mandarin orange chicken wins so 🤷♀️

@@emlyewng That sounds delish
The ravioli are amazing, they cook in literally 3 minutes!
I’ve made French Toast with the vegan brioche and Just egg, cinnamon and vanilla extract….it was really good! Great video!! Thank you for posting!
the refridgerated beefless grounds are really good
I love the Trader Joe’s mandarin morsels. Also agree that describing it that way is weird… really good protein option though! Tip: I air fry them so I don’t have to brown them on both sides. Much easier! Delicious, and my non-vegan parents agree!
Feeling down today and this made me happy!

the white tea & pomegranate drink packaging reminds me so much of the twilight book covers lmao
oh my god ur right
A 35 minute video? This makes me happy
STOP I WAS LITERALLY JUST THINKING I HOPE YOU POST A NEW VID SOON
I HAD to stop and comment 😂 the point on the boba straw is to poke through the plastic cover they usually seal onto the cup when you go to boba shops. You don't have that at home so you don't need the point
emily we literally love u!!!!!!!! here in humboldt CA the closest TJ's is in Redding and I'm feeling tempted to commute! your vids are my fave to watch on the go while I eat at school so thanks hehe
i’m studying abroad in europe for the semester and while it’s amazing i am missing trader joe’s so much i need that lentil wrap
yesssss the spicy lentil wrap 🥵
my trader joe’s fav is the unsweetened cranberry juice - and tofurkey, vegan cream cheese and plain bagels 😍 also i like their seasonal creamers.
Sparkling peach black tea is THE BEST. You need to try it!
I was starting missing your videos. Your videos are such confort to me. Thank you!
I never comment, it does feel weird 🙃
The vegan feta is super super good. I had it in a quinoa salad and on avocado toast and I highly recommend it!
i recently got a silicone air fryer basket thingy i definitely recommend so you don’t have to keep using foil !!
Ooooh I wish we had a Trader Joe's here. Luckily there's a grocery outlet nearby but it's kind of small. There is lots of goodies every week!
the beef-less ground beef is very good! also ABC BARS MY FAV as well as their raw creamy almond butter
i wish we had trader joe's in the UK!!!!!!!!!!! also you're the best emily!!!!!!!
That vegan ranch crunch salad is so good I wish I could eat it all the time
I go to Trader Joe's often and haven't bought most of these items before. I look forward to going again to try some of the things you recommended.
Yay!!! Always happy to see another video from u :)
I really enjoyed this video, thank you!
who remembers early college Emily cooking in her parents kitchen 😂❤
Your videos are brilliant & well thought out. Thank you for producing this content, as I'm going to attempt to be vegan again for Veganuary 2024
Omg the vegan pesto is my fav pizza sauce 😍
oh yeeeesss
We love air frying the vegetable gyoza! It’s a game changer!!!
omg the vegan ranch crunch salad kit is the best! i wish it had more lettuce though bc its mostly cabbage lol
LOL I hear you on the vegan Bolognese it's straight up chef boyardee! But kind of a good thing for me. I added nooch and a bit of salt and put it over kite hill ravioli, and it was amazing- so nostalgic
ok i would probably like it on ravioli that sounds better than using it on linguine or something for some reason
forever envious of americans who have trader joes
"cashew doesn't feel like a word anymore" lmaooo, love your humor
Speaking of how creamy oats are, the restaurant called Cava has oat milk shakes. I had the berry one and omg it was heavenly!!
The turkey ground is remarkably good!!
You should make vegan fig newtons with the fig jam
OMG THE BREAKFAST BOWL!!
