Love, love, love, love, love!!!! This wash and go routine. So much simpler than other approaches to doing it, to me. And for sure I will be trying out that curl maker(where I work actually makes this a easy pick up) and Eden's body product as well. I just went through all the products that I have and realized I only have like one styling lotion, lol. So definitely need to step my natural products game up.

Any time at all. Oh and quick question, if you don't mind me asking. But how many different leave ins and hair products in general, have you tried before finding the right ones for your hair?
Cause I'll admit I'm one of the product junkies that are often mentioned/talked about, when it comes down to going Natural. But I'll be honest and say I kind of can't help it. As I wasn't admittedly all that big into doing my hair much growing up. So it was either in cornrows or relaxed so I could put a quick curl in it and go. And with my mom being old school, she was all about the petroleum based hair greases that were super heavy on my hair. But since she passed and I have a bit more freedom with how I want to do my hair. I've been buying different stuff and doing some trial runs here and there.
Which I'll admit is kind of fun to try out new stuff as I'm learning about my hair through this journey. But it also makes it tough to try and weed stuff out too. Cause it's like you have this product that does that. But then have to recall this rule of thumb over here. And once you remembered that, then you see something else, that does this other thing over there, that everyone swears you need to have for your hair. Til you just wind up have bottles toppling out of your bathroom cabinet on unsuspecting guests after a while, lol.
So although I know you have mentioned always being Natural. But I was just wondering if it was ever a struggle for you to find the right products and what criteria did you have to help you narrow them down with/by. As I think I have 3 stand outs so far that I want to keep. Cantu is still on the fence(the grow strong seemed to be helpful in my early stages of re-growing my hair. But the longer it got, just seemed to be not as effective as it was when I was relaxed(and I used the Grow strong for possibly 8 weeks or more. Just nothing but white residue on my hair and some dryness from what I later discovered was protein in the mix). I still have the repair cream/shea butter by Cantu to try as well. But something tells me the results may be the same).
Side note-That is also another question I have. And probably should post it over on your protein video. But I was wondering if the rule of thumb about moisturizing leave-ins, etc. should follow and help with the dryness from protein based moisturizers. Then what should follow a moisturizer that already HAS protein mixed in? I mean with the Cantu products as I mentioned, they left my hair a touch dry. Which isn't a big deal. And I get I could follow it up with a moisturizing style cream. But if moisture products are to follow protein ones, are we really getting the best benefit when the two are combined like that in one product?
As I had always used my protein and moisturizing products separately. I guess to get the full benefit of both(naturally until I realized exactly how many more bottles that led to in my cabinet and along my sink). But now, with me pondering all this. I'm wondering if all along I've been wasting money on leave-in's that combine the two and don't give a fair enough ratio or amount to either the moisture or the protein side and therein, it doesn't do squat for my hair at all....And now that has me wondering if that would be the case too if I mixed my own concoction....Hmm....
