    The sheamoisture jamaican black castor oil shampoo/conditioner has peppermint oil, castor oil obviously, and apple cider vinegar. Personally it works great for my hair

    Hello Beautiful.. I’m loving your channel.. my beautician ( that I go to maybe 3 times a year) told me I have 3b-3c hair. Your hair is much thicker than mine as I’m much older and my hair has thinned out. Any I love your videos and tips. For the past 3 months ( for the first time really in my life lol) I’m trying to take care of my natural hair. I went natural 8 years ago but wasn’t really taking care of my hair. Following your tips and some others my hair is really starting to grow longer and thicken back up. Keep your great videos coming please. Peace and Love Sister ✌🏾

    My hair is similar to yours but i have an issue with frizz. How do you keep your hair so frizz free? Can you do a video on that? Thanks. I really enjoy your daily videos.

    I used to add tea tree oil in my shampoo as an added boost to help with my dandruff. And I still love it. Just I realized that, actually moisturizing my hair much more often, and every so often using a more powerful dandruff shampoo took care of my dandruff issue. So no longer worry about that.
    As to suggestions for hair growth, I recommend Emu oil, definitely helps with inflammation in the scalp for sure. I've heard and been using Cedarwood, Fenugreek, as well as orange and lemon oils too. Oh and Rosemary.
    I have also heard about Castor oil and Aloe Vera helping too. Even tried them both out. In particular the Jamaican Black castor oil and the Aloe vera juice during the first weeks of re-growing my hair. However, I found in my experiments with the aloe vera juice, I can't use it. Either that particular brand I had found at Wal-mart. Or aloe vera in general. As I thought it was helping me re-grow my hair at first. But then I discovered it was majorly starting to thin my hair out a lot. I still have a bit of deep thinning section in the top of my head to this day from using some up there. And it really makes it tricky to try and clump the curls there. I'm not giving up on that section though as it's only been 3 months of going natural and I know I have a ways to go and this will be a blip on my radar once I'm like 6 months in or so. But yea, I will definitely have to keep my eyes open to when certain natural things aren't agreeing with my hair.
    And I had a question for you about the castor oil/Jamaican black castor oil. Which is, is it better to leave the castor oil in when you moisturize or pre-poo your hair? Or to leave it in for a little while and then wash it out? As I've come across different sites that suggest washing it out. And for some people it seemed to give them the reaction I had with regards to thinning hair issues too at times. Which kind of concerns me, as I still use it, periodically with some other oils as a pre-poo. But not fully sure if it's really helping or harming my hair. Was easier to tell with the aloe vera right off the bat. But the castor oil I'm not sure about.
    Also another question I wanted to ask. I know you had mentioned always being natural. So likely have much longer experienced in avoiding products that have silicones and parabens in them. But I was curious to know, in your opinion, would it be better for those that are newly natural to slowly wean themselves off products with the bad stuff in them over time. And use 1 to 2 natural products in their journey? Or switch over all at once?

    How much oil should one add to the products? Are castor and Black castor oils interchangeable? If not which do You use. Black Castor Oil tends to be quite expensive! Thanks for another informative video!

    • @LydiaTefera
      @LydiaTefera  6 лет назад

      Either it’s fine it’s really up to your preference! And as for how many drops I would only do a couple drops of the essential oils just cause they are really potent and then the castor its totally up to you and how much shampoo or conditioner you use, so maybe a table spoon or two. Thank you so much for watching
