This definitely feels like a session.. timeless. These tunes need to be bought alive again. Please if you have time ..a lesson..I would love to learn and play along
I just used this video to practice my bodhran and it's been incredibly challenging keeping up with your violin but I'm pushing myself to learn the rhythm. Thank you for posting it 😊
At 67 years I went from hard/prog Rock, to Django Reinhardt to this. I haven't had this much fun in 60 years of foolin around. And each new song brings a different aire. I'm hooked and I've re-found my enjoyment!
Like always, I'm very grateful for watching and listening to your such amazing tunes, Mr Peakfiddler. Today Is Imbolc or Candlemass I wish many Brighd blessings to you.
I love Irish music and fiddle so much! It's so full of life and always makes me want to dance! 😁 You're a great musician, keep playing such beautiful music! Right now, we need such hopeful tunes more than ever!
2:08 Right now I am learning "Tenpenny Bit" with my wooden traditional Romanian whistle and I am trying to keep up with your fiddle. Thank you very much for sharing this!
You are simply the best fiddler of all times, dear Peakfiddler! I enjoy it thoroughly. Thank you so much for all this joy and please continue every single day of your live with fiddling. God loves fiddlers, for sure. I wish you to live at least 120. Cheerio!
I really enjoyed listening to it, I love the violin, especially in combination with Irish music. It is my great desire to learn to play Irish music on the violin, even though I am 28 years old.Greetings from Serbia! ❤
love all this music, so much so me self and a few friends decided to learn the great instrument, then when we achieved a decent standard of playing we formed ourselves a fiddle group, to play gigs in our local area of the small coastal town of Kiddy up here in Donegal, we had all the posters printed up with our bands name emblazoned in big red letters... "come and see the Kiddy Fiddlers " and these posters were distributed around all the pubs and church halls in our area... we didn't get one fecking gig... to this day I still don't know why..
Trad music is taught in a subject in our schools, that’s how important it is. It’s not about it being in your blood (as neat as it sounds) anyone and everyone enjoys it. It’s buoyant it’s happy but most importantly its relaxed, everyone when playing trad has a good time, including those listening to it and that’s why it’s so memorable. I think that the reason the tune gets stuck in your head isn’t because it’s an ear worm or repetitive (even though it is all of that), I think it’s because of the memory you built from enjoying it, it’s not trad if your not enjoying it.
sei una fiaba... io ho girato l irlanda in lungo e largo.. mi sono ubriacato nei pub... e questa tua musica richiama l Irlanda nei miei pensieri come non mai... sei fantastico
when it stopped I started to cry because it was over :( . I wish it was longer I love this so much. Just makes me want to dance even though I can’t even dance but great job love it!

love it. My friends asked me to bring my fiddle (and the Fiddlerman Word traveller to their practice folk sessions, I have convinced them to include this in our repertorie to give me a little solo fiddle part (though nowhere near this tempo) I might be knocking on your door for a few lessons and pointers :-)

This is one of my favourite sets of tunes, so glad that you are also enjoying this one.
There's hope for me yet then at 56! Though my hands really hurt already and slowed up. Arthritis already!
Colin, take one step at a time. Plus an omega 3 or cod liver oil supplement also helps.
Amazing
