i just came across this brilliant fiddler at half past two this morning the very moment i heard the tone of his fiddle i knew i was in for a real treat and i can say this he is up there on the very top rung of the ladder with the very best fiddlers that this country has ever produced
Great video! I heard 'Saddle the pony' in a game I finished recently (Bioshock Infinite, for anyone who's wondering) and it is such a great song! I've always loved instruments like the fiddle and the violin.
I know most of the people here won't fall for the scam anyway, but do not trust the first two comments. They're bots, please report them and have a great day.
I love all of these as they bring back fond memories of saddling ponies for my horsey daughter, pulling a horse trailer to many shows and coming home with fists full of ribbons. Thank you!
I'm very much enjoying your music. I think it's incredible. I find myself tuning in daily to have a listen. Just as the comments below, it also puts me in a better mood and transports me away from the daily routine.
Hello from Detroit Michigan, USA! I really love hearing you play these wonderful peices. I am just learning the fiddle and watching you play also helps me to understand the techniques involved. A bit different to a man used to playing the guitar! Thank you very much for your lovely videos.
My friend you play that like it is apart of your very soul. Thank you again for sharing your music. There will come a day soon I hope I can share mine with you.
Yes, certainly band standard. Sorry to tell you I am one of those dreaded accordionists!- but played with bands and love the violin in good hands. Great stuff. Cheers Frank in Bristol.
That,s interesting! I live near HM prison in Horfield, by the Glo. Rd. It,s changed; some of the pubs you knew have gone- it,s now more cafe society, but still shops you would remember, and still vibrant at night. I am so fortunate to have played with good fiddlers like you, in bands, starting in '88 when I left the RN, until I retired from gigging in lockdown. You have a good touch. A bit like Aly Bain and the great Ian Powrie ( listen to him playing Professor Blackie on YT). Anyone who plays is my friend, and as Abba said - "I,ve been so lucky, Thank you for the music". Cheers Frank, Bristol.
Yes its so important in sets of three or four tunes to listen to the whole thing you cant just click off it cos you dont like the first 30 seconds you'll miss ever hearing your favorite tunes!
Amazing! I've been a fan of your work for some months now, and you helped me quite a Lot on my fiddle playing. Im a street performer from Brazil, and I play the lannigans set every day at work. I'd love to do that with this one too! Its a great set. If you could share the backing track, id be forever greatful. Keep up the good work, master!
Oops my apologies, I posted you the wrong backing track, I lost a lot of work recently when my computer crashed and I fear that this one has gone forever. I will have a rummage around on the old hard drive and see if it can be salvaged.
Hi! Don't you have a sheet music for this one by any chance? :) Dear Peakfiddler, thanks a lot for your videos! I've been learning to play a violin for 4 months now and I really enjoy learning to play Irish songs you are sharing. It's so much fun, they are all so beautiful!

@Emerson Alfredo get your sad attempt of a scam off of my comment.

Greetings from across the pond again. As always, your renditions are delightful. I look forward to each new post.
Absolutely amazing! Wish I could play like that. This kind of music just makes my soul happy, it warms me throughout and I cant keep my feet still 😀
Wish we could all play like that!
Reminds me of being a child in the 70s listening to my Grandfather record himself on cassette.

Hi Frank, lived in Bristol for 3 years when I was young, used to love the music scene on Gloucester road.
