Love this so much!!! I love to watch you sing and play with your siblings. Reminds me of singing with my sisters in our living room growing up. My dad hooked up and amp and we would all take turns with the mic. ❤ we came to your show during our trip to Branson in July and LOVED IT. I don’t think my dad stopped smiling the whole time. 🥹
"Our House" is a song written by the English singer-songwriter Graham Nash and contained in the historic album "Deja Vu" by the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young quartet, published in 1970. At the time G. Nash was in a sentimental relationship with the Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell and the song is properly inspired by their life together in the house in Laurel Canyon (Los Angeles, CA). Many of us boomer types consider "Deja Vu" the greatest album ever produced. Thanks for this incredible rendition of one of the best songs from that album.
They all have wonderful voices, but Julianne has a very special and unique voice. Her version of Cold Play's The Scientist is the most beautiful version of that song I've ever heard. Love them all though.
Julianne's singing on The Scientist had such a beautiful vulnerability to it. When I heard it, I thought she sounded like a girl whose heart had been broken a hundred times. I sincerely hope that is not the case at her tender age.
Here's the link for anyone wanting to listen - The Scientist ruclips.net/video/WwqFUY4HcS8/видео.html (I wondered where all the new views were coming from haha)
Our children will be in their room playing, hear us play at Petersens’ song in the living room, and run in the living room to watch the video and dance and sing.
A fantastic and touching rendition of one of my favorite songs from my teenage years, decades ago. Thank you so much ❤ You’re all so talented and beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is- imo- even better than original. Everyone is having so much fun. The only way this could be better is if you had two cats sitting on the grass nearby.
As usual, a completely unexpected arrangement for this CSNY classic, a brilliant swing that harkens back to years gone by. Excellent execution, lead vocals, rhythmic base, harmonic choirs and solos. But, this time, I want to make a special mention to Ellen who supports the harmonic part wonderfully and, as in Kiss Me, she starts with a truly applause-worthy banjo solo! As always, a big thank you to all of you! ❤🙏 P.S. If anyone is wondering what Katie is doing in the outro, it's clear! She is checking with the hammer that the wood is not rotten!
I fall in love with these kids, all over again, every time they come up with a performance like this! Although, they play so beautifully, they don’t even need instruments, their angelical harmonizing gets me all the time! 🥰❤
Bravo! Loved your version of "Our House". Ellen I will not be surprised if your Baby comes out playing the banjo and harmonizing to songs on the radio!! God Bless!
Every time I watch one of you Video's I almost always focus on your Mom..... She is so focused on her base playing, but every now and then she looks at ye all and she gives this wonderful SMILE! I know a proud Mom when I see one!! And her smile say's it all!! 😁😁😁
One of my abiding memories of the show on Sunday night in London, is joining in singing this along with, what felt like, the whole of the two front rows...
Now I have heard everything! An amazing Bluegrass cover of a classic Ska Song. That’s just “Madness”… 😉 😅😊! I hope to see you all perform live one day. Got to meet Emmett and the rest of his Franz Family a while back at Bel-Air Pres in LA. That was cool, and also when he came back alone to play with TJ. Have your two families ever performed together? Could The Petersens do a cover of the Franz Family Song … “Tale of a Rich Man” ? I’d love to see how you reinterpret it. It’s my favourite track on your family’s album Emmett!
Wonderful version of this song as usual with the Petersens. After hearing this one, the Scientist, and Fields of Gold, - I think it would be awesome to get a Petersen’s version of “The Whole of the Moon”.
To paraphrase what Mini Pearl once said of Hank Williams, " When you can throw your voice like that, you can really sing". Great job guys. And keep telling everyone about Jesus.
Absolutely cool song. And wow what a fiddle riff at the start, almost fell of my chair. Wonderful job, beautiful set, and music that cant help but make u smile. Love it❤ friday
A marvelous redo. Julianne is fabulous. Super smart to choose this piece. Great support by all. (If Katie turns the hammer sideways and runs it down the board, she'll find any protruding nails. But it looks like something else is going on...haha)
This is wonderful! I love EVERYTHING the Petersens sing and play!!! Thank you, Petersen Family! Sending lots of love and prayers to you all! (So excited for baby to arrive! Praying for you, Ellen!)😊❤
Thank you julianne and the Petersens for the Crosby, Stills. Nash and Young song. Now, when will we hear "Helplessly Hoping"? You guys have the harmony skills to knock this one out of the park. You guys are the best!
Amazing version. Love this. You all are so so talented. I was lucky enough to see you live in Leeds on your European tour. You were brilliant and it was great to meet you after the show and have a photo taken with you. Karen you are such a sweet lady. Thank you all and love to you Ellen for your forthcoming new arrival ❤️❤️
I've read all the comments just to be sure I wasn't repeating what what's been said already. I really can't think of anything new to say from what the comments have said. So all I will add is WOW!!! Pure joy to listen to all of you.
Love this arrangement and this song. Fits so perfectly with your voice. You all are so amazing. Thank you for filling up my room and my heart with such amazing sounds.
Great job Julienne singing the lead to Our House. And all of you with the awesome harmonies backing up Julienne. All stay well and be safe.🙏✝️ The Hetland’s 😎😊😁🤠❤️
As an Independent Bluegrass Artist myself, it is very cool to see The Petersens bust through the music industry. What they are doing is nothing less than amazing. I love “House”, what a clever song choice. 😁

I'll light the fire
You place the flowers in the vase
That you bought today
Staring at the fire
For hours and hours
While I listen to you
Play your love songs
All night long for me
Only for me
Come to me now
(Come to me now)
And rest your head for just five minutes
Everything is done
Such a cozy room
(Such a cozy room)
The windows are illuminated
By the evening sunshine through them
Fiery gems for you
Only for you
Our house is a very, very, very fine house
With two cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy 'cause of you
And our…

He still remembers paradise - and the Petersens' vibes are
close to that .. ⛲🌳🎶💓
I think it’s so interesting how Julianne sings in her falsetto or “head voice”. It’s almost a yodel.
So glad these young fellas perform this old wonderful song
Their performance with Julianne's leading vocal bring me so much joy. Her voice is really unique-so pure and lightful...
A charming version of a lovely song. The Petersen Family is just an endless source of wonderful music.
