This is terrific, and I've been enjoying all your videos on DIY baking ingredients. I guess the real benefit of this one, though, is its aluminum-free nature. By me, GV cream of tartar is $2.18 for the 8 oz jar. GV baking powder is $1.98, so it's not a cost-saving to make your own. But also, if you run out of baking powder (and I have!), it's great to know you can quickly mix up your own. Thanks! Keep these kinds of videos coming.

If you’re going to store it, you need to add corn starch to it to keep it from clumping. So you would use 3 tablespoons cornstarch added to her recipe

Why my baking powder doesn't work,? Should I add more cream of tarter in it? Please reply. Also does home made baking powder will expire after some time? If expire then how to fix it.

It's healthier than the store bought baking powder because it does not contain aluminum phosphate.

Baking powder is just baking soda and corn starch. But i guess you could use what this lady is using.

No. You need an acidic ingredient to act with the baking soda. That would be cream of tartar.

Correct. Go to Rose Red Homestead and she explains the science behind what makes baking powder work. There MUST be an acid to activate the baking powder
