that's a great tip to put the flour in the oil first. But you should never use vegetable oil for anything, it's TOXIC. TOXIC. TOXIC. Use beef tallow or ghee. Veg oil is high in omega-6 fatty acids, which can contribute to inflammation when consumed in excess, and when heated to high temperatures, it can break down and form harmful compounds like aldehydes, potentially linked to chronic diseases like heart disease and cancer; additionally, most commercially available "vegetable oil" is highly processed and lacks the nutritional benefits of tallow or ghee

I do save my bacon grease and cut half and half butter to make biscuits. So tasty! That bit of bacon gease gives the biscuits some good smokey flavor.

I have a measuring cup just like that and your show way more in it than 2/3 in your measuring cup.

You go girl...I use Arrowroot instead of Flour. It cooks in at a lower temperature and becomes silky smooth. Also use a gravy whisk. It contacts the pan more evenly.

I wouldn't use anything with vinegar on wood, because it's very acidic and it will eventually ruin the wood finish.

I use Dawn spray for those type if grease stains and make up stains. Works great. What I need is something that can be added to diy laundry detergent that will get stains out across the board. Detergent has washing soda, borax, oxy, castille and still have stains on my kitchen towels. Any thoughts?
