@@bodgitandleggitgarage Keep up the great work, do remember to keep away from them energy drinks (Red Bulls etc ) and excess Sugar, as it is the number 1 cause of inflammation ( unresolved mystery of 'Pain' ) as 2 of my close friends in the Car trade passed away due to high intake of energy drinks drunk to excess each day, it feeds 'Cancer' cells! the one was as fit and strong as an ox,his health declined over 2 years,not 1 Doctor knew what was wrong with him! everyone everywhere needs to look after their Health, which is real wealth, as without good health we amount to nothing except descend into a cabbage, take care. Self amalgamating tape is great stuff, I think you can get it from most of the sheds,(that’s where I get it in England) maybe try it by that name ?
Believe me, mate. I have tried a lot of different places. But I brought lots last time I should have enough to last me for years lol
The self amalgamating tape you are using should be stretched as you apply it so that you get no gaps, hopefully it will last the way you did it much better than standard electrical tap.
He said about stretching when he was doing the back light wiring.

Why didnt the original installer use an ip rated box to store the csnbus unit in? Would of saved these issues in the first place
I'm not sure mate. All I know is he will not have a problem now with this box. Especially with the tape I used and where I placed. It was dry That's why I put it there

Mate, it's completely different. If you do not use this box, you get lots of error codes and lots of very weird things happening in modern cars.
