I reckon when you lose your rag with a motor, your hands grow bigger and you get more thumbs ! I usually get to the stage where I have to walk away and have a cup of tea,then I can do the “move it a fraction of an inch, turn the spanner over and turn it another fraction of an inch,) thing. Why does there always have to be something sharp,hot, or both in the way ?

I've removed the alternator from 1.2 punto for my mate from a scrapyard.. two bottom bolts took 5 minutes, the top one took an hour!! Each extension was either too long or too short and air con pipes were in the way! Nightmare. 🙈
BTW I've been to Ireland visiting friend over the weekend near Kilkenny.. now I understand when you said once about Ireland being expensive! 😮
Well ive just priced a new alternator for the Honda Legend, £408!!!

I have just finished doing an alternator on a lexus is250 and I agree with you the Japanese design cars like 💩 to work on. Top bolt is a long one that goes all the way through and holds it bottom has 2 bolts one on either side and the back one is terrible to get to no access what so ever.

the designers do not have to do the work on them but they should be made to and getting down the side of some engines is a impossibility . I have asked three exhaust places to replace the flexi pipe and the Cat on my wife's Freelander 1800 and they all gave some excuse so i ordered the parts and the son in law with my bit of help are going to do it we have already taken part of it of from the exhaust manifold the the three places were afraid of .thanks for the video
They just drop the engine in with all the bits on it... never think of the man trying to repair it buried out of sight

No legend and accord both released in the US the legend is the flagship Honda in us Japan etc bigger car than the accord
Fking Honda's a nightmare to work on,got a 97 passporttwo new alternators and still wont charge bloody fkin hell dont know what to do now maybe the ecu is bad now and wont tell it to charge, any ideas?
