I used to be anti air tools but they are a massive time saver and really do get the job done much quicker. A good alternative is battery powered stuff. I have a few Milwaukee impact tools and they're awesome.

The most important thing with using air tools I was told as an apprentice is the bigger the cfm or air volume of the compressor the better. I agree about the quality of the tool you use. like the old saying goes " buy cheap buy twice."

hi mate I agree with you on the bike cheap ones but the problem is no matter how big your compressor is if the motor inside the airgun isn't Powerful no matter how much a going through it it will not make a difference for example in the half inch air guns the good ones have 6 to 7 fins inside the motor the cheap ones only have 2 or 3 so they can never be as Powerful

Definitely just get yourself a Milwaukee 18v Fuel Impact Driver. They're about £500 or so, but well worth it. The 3/4" drive ones undo Lorry Wheel Nuts. 💪
No Compressor. No Lines & no f**king about, just pick up your sockets & your Milwaukee Impact Driver & off you go! #Sorted

Tools are an investment and the the key is not what it puts out new but what it still puts out a yr or more down the road. Some air guns can compete new but a few months down the road they are worn out and lose a ton of power. You get what you pay for!

I couldn't agree with you more. If your a mechanic, and that's how you make your living every day, you have to spend the money for quality air tools you use every day. Your wasting time and moneey buying cheap because they fail. Good video !

I were allways looking for a video on air tools..I have a 50 litre at 13 cfm
.it drives a 288 ft pound gun.good enough for what I do.but I'm buying a nano from America shortly. Small. Handy and powerful for the work I do..just 1 question.. How much air tool oil is enough or too much?

    • @bodgitandleggitgarage

hi mate there is a lot of different ways of doing this the first way is just to spray some airgun oil in it every day or you can get a special connection that fits on to the end of your airline which automatically feeds oil in as it's needed or you can also get a bigger version of that which plugs into your compressor the only problem is with the bigger version all the oil runs through your airline so if you are doing any spraying you will destroy anything you spray because the oil come out with the air and hit The Painted surface

bodgit and leggit garage ya i have a filter and lubricator all in one but I dnt use the lubricator coz of obvious reasons.. But I do spray the air gun and rachet wit oil direct.. And hey some times I use 10 w 40 engine oil..it hasn't seized up yet lmao..
