I think you got a great deal, and I really appreciate you sharing your info with us. Mississippi has outrageous tags! My insurance is also way up there due to my driving record.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video! Really informative for a 19 year old like myself! 👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it!
Im 19 and am contemplating getting a mustang and this was a very helpful video ❤
So glad I could help!
YESSSSS! Well done my man! I have this same set up, mine is just black & has the bigger infotainment screen. Love the looks, smiles, thumbs up, compliments, challenges, races, & the drive time! So wether your 48 like me or young like this cool dude! YOU will definitely enjoy the 5.0H OH OH! (Office space) movie reference 🤷🏽♂️🙄😂😂😂🥂🙇🏽♂️
P.S people think I’m 35! 🤷🏽♂️🤣🤣🤣👍🏽
Congratulations on the upgrade
Thanks!
Wow is great your trade in save you a lot of money and this was a great deal for you. My brother pays 270 for insurance on his ecoboost and probably we will search for other options . Thank you for this information
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching
Good job young fella!
Thanks!
My guy you were lucky to savee on this much money for insurance and things!
I do consider getting a Mustang for when I get a little older, I just need a daily for after I get my license several months from now.
My s550 v6 auto , im 25 , my insurance last i checked was about $160/ month , and I make $270 monthly payments on the car itself, however i did get a speeding ticket back on November 29th 2020, for 100+ "supposedly", but the lawyers i paid for got it reduced to a "illegal parking ticket" lmao
Zip code plays a huge factor with insurance. Looks like you did well for sure. Full coverage all the bells and whistles for my 401a PP1 19 GT is $120 a month. My son has a 19 STI, 24yrs old on my insurance plan and pays $160 a month. If he was on his own plan he'd be looking at $320 a month. Your insurance went down because of the turbo. Anything that's awd or turbo instantly pushes insurance up 25%+
I never knew that! That’s interesting. Thanks for sharing!
I pay $1,400 for 6 months omfg (Charger)
@@jlovesj3335 so u pay every 6 months or what?
i pay 385$ a month in insurance for my 13 5.0 in VA
@Prcussonst wow, almost a car payment 😳.. Age, tickets or accident driving it up or is that regular for your area ? Broward/Dade used to have the highest rates in the nation back in the day...
Great video and deal congrats!
Thanks!
Ive been paying around 800 dollars a year since I was 17 for my 2012 GT. Being on your parents insurance helps a ton.
That’s nice! I wish mine was that low 😂😂
@@JVette01 Ya both my monthly car payment and insurance are very low.
Cool 👍👍
Can you finance a vehicle in your name and be under your parents insurance
@@owee I dont see why you couldn't.
lol really makes me see how they played me in my ecoboost 38k out the door ... could of had a gt
Did you get a premium with a bunch of options?

No such thing as a good car deal. So you are Correct…it’s a Good Deal if you are satisfied with your own experience/deal. If you feel satisfied, then it’s a good deal.
All other comments about how good my deal was is always completely irrelevant to anyone else.
Only dealer discounts & rebates are comparable. Really those are regional and Dealer specific. Nice to hear a 19 year old say & understand actual car deals. Enjoy your new GT…extremely Nice cars!!
Thanks! :)
Hey man I’m 20 so basically same age as you. I had a 2018 eco boost and traded for a 2020 GT in December and my insurance also went down about $80 per month. I think it maybe because ecoboost are actually more common with young drivers therefore they are probably wrecked more often idk🤷♂️. Congrats on the new car bro.
That’s probably why!
Yo can I dm you on insta? I'm in the process of doing that and need some advice
When did you get your license tho? cause I would it be that low for insurance.
Doc fee at my dealer was over $1000! Also, good news for when you get old like me (51) but insurance on a 2021 GT w/PP is about the same as a Honda HR-V believe it or not.
Yeah sometimes insurance rates are surprising.. can’t believe that doc fee though!
What you do as far as the doc fee, is if they say it's $1000, you should actually pay no more than $75, but most will bs you that they have to charge everyone the same so you say okay take $1000 off the price of the car, ... that way they get to show the doc fee but you actually walk away with a cheaper out the door price ...
Hey , how long did you have the eco boost for ? And did you finish paying it off ? Or did you just trade it in and they gave you a certain amount for it and used that amount for the 5.0?
I had it for a little over 2 years. It was paid off.
What insurance company you have? I have Geico. Best rates I could find anywhere and decent customer service. My 2020 Eco Premium has the most expensive insurance of any car I’ve ever insured. It’s almost 2.5x the rate of my 2020 Tacoma 4WD.
I think you got a great deal with both cars. I got my Eco for about $8k off MSRP- from $38k to $30k and I was happy. I didn’t want to pay the same amount for a base GT. I love my 8” touch screen, leather, pony puddle lights, multi color lights and heated and cooled seats too much.
Yeah, I talk about that in my EcoBoost over GT video, some would rather have more luxury. I have progressive btw.
Damn rebates and discount. Killer deal
Thanks!
You got a great deal....I bought my 16 base model GT in 18 from Carvana...it had 4300 miles on it . I paid $26,462 out the door tax, title and registration.
That's a good deal too!
@@JVette01 .. it's bananas!!!... It now has 20432 miles and still has the new car scent......lol 😉 I can get more in trade than I paid for it... been offered such by a local dealer looking to sell me a new mustang.... I love my '16... Never selling.... it's parked right next to my '89 Bimini blue fox GT in my garage with 89768miles.😉👍
Nice stable you got there! Haha
You're 19?! Voice had me fooled. Lol. Nice work; would've loved to afford a car like this at 19!
Thanks! Haha.
Hey brotha! Love the channel, was wondering how much you paid for insurance on the Ecoboost?
It’s in the video 😂
@@JVette01 oh shoot lol must’ve missed it
All good haha. Thanks for the support!
My 2021 ecoboost with all features except the interior lights 31. With ttl
What do you mean by interior lights?
I have a 19 ecoboost and am looking to trade for a >2018 gt, would my aftermarket intake and catback exhause affect any trade in offers?
Nope. Should be the same value
I’ve thought about trading my warranty fbo 18 Ecoboost in was offered 24k but I decided not to because it’ll be paid off sooner and I wanna go built 2.0, and agreed on being on parents insurance I’m 18 and my insurance rates are similar
Nothing like having a paid off car haha.. Good luck on your future EcoBoost endeavors!
@@JVette01 thanks good luck with the Gt.
From your numbers it seems you did good, and nice to see your employer cut you a break on the doc fee, your gonna need a radar detector now LOL.
Ikr haha
whats a good insurance company, just recently got approved from the bank for a loan to get a gt thats new, im 20 years old and insurance is the only thing masking me reconsider. So whats the best insurance for a young driver trying to get full coverage on a 2019 gt or somewhere around that year
Whichever one is the lowest. I have geico
I’m looking for a 2019 ecoboost with active exhaust, anyone know a good price for that?
The market is high right now so low mileage ones are probably retailing around 28-30k. That’s around how much mine was with 28k miles.
I’m 23, ‘19 GT, I had to haggle for a couple of hours with the dealership and got it to 41k OTD for a premium + pp1 + magneride. Insurance by myself would be around 350, with my family around 283 as a grad student, and get lower after the first 6 months. It could be worse for my high traffic, high crazy zip code
East or west coast?
What's your job ? How the hell can you afford this car as a grad student ?
thts high insurance i pay 160 on insurance on my ecoboost i live in goergia and am in my parents insurance as well
It varies so much from place to place, but I’ve noticed Vegas is a little high.
I know this video is old but I’m 19 with a 2021 EcoBoost and I wanna trade it in for a GT is but the car isn’t fully paid off , is it still possible for them to trade it in ?
Yes of course. However, if you owe more than it’s worth, you’ll be in a negative equity situation and vice versa.
bro howd you get that insurance rate for the ecoboost im 17 turning 18 in 3 months and really want an ecoboost
I was on my parents insurance at the time of this video… clean driving record, etc.
so u had the eco fully paid off ? if not how did u get 24k trade in if it wasn’t paid off
It was paid off
Hey man! how were you able to find a decent priced one with the car prices being so high?
I work at a dealership. Also, it was a leftover 2020 model
@@JVette01 nice man. Ford dealership? Thinking about working at one near me. Need a full time job while I finish school
It’s fun if you’re into cars. But with any job there are pluses and minuses
IN INDIA, a base model Ford mustang GT cost 84000 dollars😥
I’m 18 and I have a 2021 GT and I’m paying $700 for car payments and $200 for insurance monthly
How much do you make a month ? Is it finically stupid to do?
What was ur credit at? If u don’t mind me asking
So how much do I need walking in ? Is 10k enough down payment
There’s a lot of things that go into getting approved for a car. If your credit and income is good, then you’ll have no problem with 10k down.
Damn your voice is deep for a 19 year old, just turned 19 yesterday, I remember commenting about something similar to this a week ago so thanks for following up and making a good informative video. This makes me contemplate buying a car new, I've always stayed away from that because it wasn't worth it in the past but now with the used car market being so expensive I might have to shoot the gun.
Also wow I had more expensive insurance on my 1995 subaru legacy with a clean record, good student, drivers ed, and insured under my parents with 800+ credit.
Thanks for sharing! I strongly suggest going new ;)
I bought and ecoboost mustang last year when I was 16 and now I’m saving up for a gt but how much would it be for a down payment for a 10 speed
That depends on your credit, if you have negative equity on your trade, lots of factors.
@@JVette01 da credit score is above 700 but The mustang is not funna be trade in wanna get a whole different car
You can put down like 3,000 if you want. It’s up to you.
So I’m 16 right now, I want a mustang because it’s my dream car. You think it’s possible? How can I invest and all other stuff? Also how do you get your “good student discount”??
It’s through my insurance. They ask weird questions to get your quote. The Mustang is possible if you have a co signer or pay for it in full.
As a person who’s first car was an mustang keep your credit good buy a cheaper v8 for around 10000$ 15000 keep for about 4 months then go for it
My insurance for my 2017 GT is 500 unreal.
So your ecoboost was paid off when you traded it in?
Yes
Is it a lot more torque than tuned ecoboost ?
I would say a lot more but it’s more. The main thing is the horsepower.
@@JVette01 so feels completely different than ecoboost from 0-60 hard pull ? Or from higher rpm feels the power
Higher speeds you feel the power. 0-60s would feel a lot faster too if I got traction. However, the EcoBoost with good traction and good weather can do a pretty healthy 0-60 as well.
How’d you go about the student discounts?
As far as the insurance or the rebate off the price of the car?
@@JVette01 both
You just need to prove you’re enrolled in school through this “ID me” site. My parents did the insurance so I’m not sure on that.
What state do you live in? I'm 16, living in Nevada, (insurance is much higher here than most states) paying $450 a month for my 2005 Mustang V6. I'm almost 17 I'm wondering if it'll go down when I turn 17.
I live in Nevada too.. but I’m on my parents policy and at the time of this video I was 19.
@@JVette01 I'm on my parents policy too. You think it'll go down when I'm 17?
There are so many factors involved in insurance quotes that I have no idea
@@TAnimations it will but probably not by much & damnnn $450 crazy
@@msjupiter5 You know what's crazy? Is that I found out it was actually $480 a month not $450. But I am 17 now and thankfully they lowered it to $420 a month which is still ass. It literally sucks working so hard just throwing all this money out the window but I'll be getting a little raise at my job soon so that'll help too.
Awesome deal.
So the EcoBoost was already paid off?
Yes
@@JVette01 Awesome, any suggestions or do you mind sharing how you went about paying for it so fast.
I had help from my parents. I paid about a 1/3 of the price myself.
I bought my brand new 2022 gt premium for 51k

Was ur ecoboost paid off all the way?
Yes.

With the payment I showed in the video, its calculated with $0 down.
how much did you put down or did you buy in full

@@JVette01 oh i was thinking about financing
I included a mock up payment with no money down
What insurance you got?
I was on my parents policy during this video. I have my own insurance now and I use Geico.
im a new driver just got my license at 17 about a month ago and i tried to get on my parents insurance but i cant due to them having aarp has their insurance you have to be around 50 yrs old. I'm in the process of trying to buy a mustang but i need an insurance company that isnt going to hit me in the head. Any suggestions
I have no clue. I have progressive, but if you’re young, trying to buy a mustang, and are going to be on your own insurance, it’s gonna cost a fortune.
@@JVette01 Yea i've been being told that by alot of people
It might surprise you though, I know people thought my insurance would skyrocket when I got the GT but it went down lol
Dude, you're paying almost $300 a month to insure that mustang, hell no. I drive an 06 4.6 V8 mustang that has alot done to it and i pay $175 monthly for it and that's already way too high but no way I'd pay almost $300 a month, I'm almost 37 by the way with a damn good driving record.
$300 a month for a brand new mustang sounds a lot better than $175 a month at 37 for a mustang worth 5k tops
So you paid total total 42.6k basically exactly like you I paid 719 a month for 60 months no down payment
I paid cash for it. I had the payment numbers on there for people that were curious about payments.
@@JVette01 ohh nice you saved on that apr. Yea I just finished paying mine off couple months ago came out too about 43, same age n all I was luckily able to save a bit on insurance tho
Awesome!
Upgrade? Lol...The HPP HP is just fine.
Im confused?
@@JVette01 I loved your reviews first of all. I own the HHP with the HP package. It is wonderful but caught me a little of gaurd when you said "upgrade to a GT". I get it but from my perspective it not my sort of upgrade when I made my choice. Please review the HPP?!? I'd love to know your thoughts. Thanks!!!
The GT is an upgrade from an EcoBoost. An EcoBoost HPP is also an upgrade from an EcoBoost. I’ll review one as soon as I can get my hands on one. I have driven it though and I like that it revs higher.
You got great deal bro
Thanks!
Yeah, I’m on my parents insurance way cheaper
I pay 90$ month for my insurance 18’ gt
Cool!
Are you under your parents insurance or your own ?
Parents
Insurance probably went down because more people are crashing the ecoboost in your area than the GT lmao 🤣.
Possibly! Haha
Realistically it’s 1k a month not a lot idk why humans make vids like this but I guess for young dudes and yes it’s always better being on your parents insurance cause you save money that’s what ima do I’m 21 and was thinking of getting a new truck but already have one but still not even sure what car to get
I made this video to show people how much a new Mustang GT could cost, and also my insurance cost being young. Lots of people were curious for a video like this.
"My 2024" we in 2022
It’s a 2020. Where’d you get 2024 from? 😂
They got me paying 1k a month for a mustang at 20
Depends on down payment, credit, terms, if there was negative/positive equity. So many factors.
A PP1 is a sportscar homie
You're absolutely right. This is an econobox.
How much you need to make to pay that
In terms of?
@JVette01 like how much you need to make a week to afford a mustang
Are you referring to a payment? Because every persons situation is different as far as if they can afford the car or not
@@JVette01 yes
I pay less at 21 on my own plan then you do on your parents lol

What do you mean? Lol
Step one work at the dealership
Hahaha yeah that helps, but anyone gets rebates
That 10 speed is a turd!!!!! Can’t beat a 2015 6 speed
Except in races, comfort, daily drivability, gas mileage, ease of use, etc. Kidding, I like manuals but prefer the automatic in this car.
Your age probably had the reduction in cost.
You think so? I figured being 19 makes my insurance the worst lol
