  • I get this van ready to fire up, and also this is the beginning of a van conversion build, but were getting all the kinks worked out of it first.

Bought a Chevy 305 1984 v20. I got to fix the climate controls. Just blows out the defrost. I believe that is a vacuum issue. Love the van. Good deal for a 1000 dollar project. Probably end up putting 2 grands in the van before rode worthy. Going to add a lift for wheel chair. We are all getting older by the second.

My type of garaging. Do it right, but with what you have. It's guerilla mechanics, but leave the duct tape and bailing wire in the toolbox. I'm in the process of trying to find a donor van to become a boogie van. I own an upholstery shop and like the old school style. I can do mech and paint and body for myself, but I keep it separate from my business. I'll be curious to see what becomes of your $400 investment. - Russell, Pro Stitch Auto Interiors, Taylorville, IL.

I'd pay you $400 for the hood and windshield, so I'm pretty sure it was a good deal.
