I replace the starter in my 1992 Chevrolet G20 conversion van. This has a 350ci 5.7l V8. Replacing the starter is pretty much the same on all of these cars spanning several decades. Sorry I didn't get the wire connections in the video better. My starter also did not need to ne shimmed, so I didn't have to remove the flywheel cover. I hope you find this video useful. I started with the same issue but ended up replacing a super rounded fly wheel lol $$

I wanna say thank you for starting up the opening video. And showing us where it might have been and all that fun stuff. However, we didn't really get to see much of the teeth and you kind of fast, forwarded the video you didn't really show us taking apart the rest of the starter and whatnot, which would have been very helpful. So I'm downrating you so if anything you get 2 stars out of 5, but if you want to remake the video again and take it off completely and show us the process in which doing so. Instead of just it hanging by the original wires and then you decide to time forward it to it being done. That didn't really help me do anything. So I would reconsider remaking the video if I were you....
My 88 g20 starter is clogged with oil dripping on it from the oil pan. Gonna have to reseal it and eitger cleN out the starter or buy a new one. Gonna do the cables as well while im at it. At least everything is easily reached.
