I want to say that for a mineral sunscreen and not a chemical sunscreen, the Summer Fridays formula is one of the most elegant at that price point that doesn’t break me out. Compared to chemical sunscreens like the Naturium, yeah, it’s going to be a little less elegant. @@KimbiWalso if you’re reactive to chemical sunscreens, make sure the mineral sunscreens don’t have any hidden chemical filters in it. SO many brands claim to be 100% mineral but use hidden chemical UV filters. They technically aren’t doing anything wrong since the hidden chemical filters aren’t regulated as sunscreens. So mineral sunscreens claiming to be 100% mineral but sheer or no white cast (things not normal with mineral sunscreens) will use less of the mineral filters than necessary to get, say 50 SPF, but then have the hidden chemical filters in it to boost it up to the 50 SPF they claim. To me, if they can use it to boost the SPF, they shouldn’t be able to call it mineral sunscreen - it’s a hybrid because it has mineral and chemical - but, since the FDA doesn’t regulate the hidden ones, they get away with it. Fine frizzy hair here AND I live in Singapore (very hot and humid year round). Color Wow - the regular one not extra strength - is the only thing that I’ve found that stops my hair from frizzing.

I use it as my first step after I wash my face, but I also use it throughout the day. It's fantastic for after a big blemish breaks to keep transfer of bacteria and such down.
I think I'm a little confused about using throughout the day like you mention and Kelly discusses here. Do you wear makeup and spray over it? Can it penetrate through that? Or do you just re-spray if not wearing makeup?
@@kateliness2 Hey there! I mist it over my makeup during the day, the intention is the same as using a hand sanitizer throughout the day. I like D Bronzi (and the rosy drops) most for mixing with foundations that are too light for me in the summer but I’m sure there is a cheaper option out there that can achieve the same effect.
I haven't tried it myself but I've heard of people mixing in a bit of liquid bronzer to their foundation for the same effect. And I know Kelly has been mixing in the Elf color correctors to change the undertone
Oh that sol de Janeiro mist smells super plummy on me. I don't smell the vanilla AT ALL 😂 amazing how different they smell on everyone or to everyone. I'll agree with u, it is quite a complicated profile. And if u like the Tom Ford Bitten Peach, you'd be happy to have this at this price point. They are quite similar (if u can smell the plum more than the vanilla, like me😅)
Best way to use debronzer with my foundation which is always a bit lighter than my face due to my redness and it works so well. It mixes so well with any foundation and gives a really nice glow. Very good for dry skin. I love it.
I swear on everything I breakout from that Tower 28 save our skin spray. I used it for a couple weeks when I first got it and it broke me out. Then I tried it again being hopeful and broke out even worse. I am not acne prone and made no other changes.
hypochlorous acid is basically bleach-ish. like being in a pool. bleach is sodium hypochlorite. little less harsh, but…i’ll have to research this. i use clindamycin for breakouts and mainly DIFFERIN! that works amazingly. changed my skin. it’s drying though when used in the winter (for dry skin girlies like us)
I love the d bronzi - I don’t fake tan and i’m fair so I don’t seem like their ideal customer 😅 but i find it’s amazing for mixing in with my spf to take off the white cast and give me just a slight glow. Then I take a teeny bit and dab on high points of cheeks as bronzer. I don’t wear foundation so that’s me done. The main complaint I have with d bronzi is they’re never in stock! It’s the only item I have a permanent back up of to make sure I don’t run out haha
8:08 I’m so sad that the Dream Coat didn’t hit for you 😢 I bought into the hype and had to try it- for me it really did work like a dream. It doesn’t last through a wash, that’s BS. But for my thick, curly/wavy mop when I use as directed, blow out, and go over a couple of stubborn spots with low heat in the straightener, my hair stays smooth and sleek until I wash it next. The test for me was using it to do my hair before a work trip to New Orleans in July- did my head get sweaty and gross? Yes, but my hair did not frizz 🙌
SOS spray is one of the only things that helps perioral dermatitis. it is.a godsend.i would pay twice as much for it. the bottle last me forever I use it every day and there is nothing else that does what it does. there are some cheaper dupes that dont work as well for me.
it's crazy with the dream coat because the directions that I had it on my bottle tells you to section off your hair like you said coat your hair and then I'll use it for my blowout hair thing and keep tensioner at the whole time and my blow out last for a couple days at that point I was opposed to just one
When I cover the rare beauty blush with powder to set my face it literally fades away..I used the huda beauty and one size it both completely covered it 😭
I like the bronzing drops in my sunscreen, its a stand alone product...I don't need foundation afterwards and it takes the whitecast.. I don't like it on its own..
everyone says it's cheaper to buy other sprays than tower 28 but everything from a dermatologist or online by me costs the same (or more if shipping is involved) and doesn't get me points for Sephora 😂
Be careful when looking for hypochlorous acid spray dupes. The ingredient needs to be diluted and within a certain pH to work effectively on skin. The sprays made for disinfecting are too concentrated for skin!
I don't like it either. Bliss gets almost neon on my cheeks and I cannot tone it down. Got another color in the other formula, not a fan either. Too powerful and hard to work with, colors aren't working with my skin.
I have Bliss and I don't like it either. I can't get it to not go on patchy no matter what I do. I am new to liquid blush in general, but I've tried one of the Em cosmetics liquid blushes and had no issues. Someone on Reddit said that they mix their RB matte blush with another product (might have been the Saie Glowy Super Gel?? Idk) and that worked for them. Omg can you please do a hair tutorial for this look?! Loove itt❤❤
I swear on everything I breakout from that Tower 28 save our skin spray. I used it for a couple weeks when I first got it and it broke me out. Then I tried it again being hopeful and broke out even worse. I am not acne prone and made no other changes.
Your hair looks gorgeous! 😍 What did you do/use?
hypochlorous acid is basically bleach-ish. like being in a pool. bleach is sodium hypochlorite. little less harsh, but…i’ll have to research this. i use clindamycin for breakouts and mainly DIFFERIN! that works amazingly. changed my skin. it’s drying though when used in the winter (for dry skin girlies like us)
Im relatively new to your channel so you may have addressed this already but your hair! Gorgeous curls! Why would you ever straighten it?
The hair is hairing
love your hair
Your hair is Gorgeous, Today !!! So you. IMO❤
What do you use on your hair? The curls are just perfection. Thanks!
You remind me a bit of actress Anna Kendrick. Nice video!
Just a heads up, sometimes you may compromise the spf protection of your sunscreen if you mix it with other products
Don't mix stuff into your spf! You WILL compromise your sun protection and mess with the integrity of the formula.
I'm obsessed with the fragrance from sol de Janeiro.
It smells soooo good!
8:08 I’m so sad that the Dream Coat didn’t hit for you 😢
I bought into the hype and had to try it- for me it really did work like a dream.
Wowww! That’s amazing! I’m jealous
Kelly, you have the most beautiful hair color! Any chance you know your color formula? 😄
Love your curls … what did you use ?
I own the drunk elephant product and I don't understand it lol.
The wow product has an formaldehyde releaser
That wow video is hilarious. So you need to own a complete barbershop to make it work? Talking about unrealistic expectations.
I love the dr jar bb cream. I bought if off a recommendation and I really liked it. I do think it has higher coverage for only 3 shades though.
I've heard good things! I wish Dr. Jart was cruelty-free :(
The d- bronzi drops also made me look dirty😂luckily I only tried a foil packet of it as a sample and did not wear it out. It made my face look awful
SOS spray is one of the only things that helps perioral dermatitis. it is.a godsend.i would pay twice as much for it. the bottle last me forever I use it every day and there is nothing else that does what it does. there are some cheaper dupes that dont work as well for me.
Sweaty face girlies unite ✊🏻
it's crazy with the dream coat because the directions that I had it on my bottle tells you to section off your hair like you said coat your hair and then I'll use it for my blowout hair thing and keep tensioner at the whole time and my blow out last for a couple days at that point I was opposed to just one
The wow product did less than nothing for me.
The only sol de janeiro spray I didn’t like wasn40 lol
When I cover the rare beauty blush with powder to set my face it literally fades away..I used the huda beauty and one size it both completely covered it 😭
I like the bronzing drops in my sunscreen, its a stand alone product...I don't need foundation afterwards and it takes the whitecast.. I don't like it on its own..
The Summer Fridays Shadedrops broke me out.
Oh noooo!
Love uuuuuu
While the fall equinox has not come yet, meteorological fall starts September 1st, so it's not wrong to say it's fall. 😊
Sol de janero can do no wrong in my eyes. Ever
And you def want #68 and the new after hours. I use the pink body wash, spray and lotion daily!
everyone says it's cheaper to buy other sprays than tower 28 but everything from a dermatologist or online by me costs the same (or more if shipping is involved) and doesn't get me points for Sephora 😂
I love the color wow product on my Scandinavian hair. It gets so much shine and doesnt feel greasy or frizzy. So sad it didnt work for you.
Sweaty girl here 💁🏼♀️
I'm a huge Yankee fan too!!! Tower 28 Beauty SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray is only geared towards oily and acne prone skin
It could be your hair products mixing with the sweat that’s breaking your face out
What color is on your nails???
But then again, I don't live in a humid climate and that's probably the difference. I just used it more for like hold.
Off topic but did you vlog your trip?
I did not but I posted a lot of it on Instagram stories! It’s all saved in a highlight too!
Color Wow dream coat didn't work for me.
Be careful when looking for hypochlorous acid spray dupes. The ingredient needs to be diluted and within a certain pH to work effectively on skin. The sprays made for disinfecting are too concentrated for skin!
❤❤
💜💙💚
I’m the only person who doesn’t like the rare beauty blush. Same with makeup by Mario skin enhancer 😢
I don't own that product or anything similar so I can't vouch for that myself.
cute
Wow spray is pointless!
Unpopular opinion: to me all the Sol de Janeiro bodymists smelled really bad and to strong with alcohol.🫣
