I now want to visit every thrift store in my path. I enjoy taking my children (teenagers) into antique and thrift stores as they get to see and handle items that were once used in the home that are now obsolete, like butter churns or rotary dial phones.
This thrift shop is well displayed and inviting. The items look brand new and well presented..that makes a big difference In the past 6 weeks I’ve made 10 trips to the thrift shop but to donate Someone will enjoy what I’ve donated I really enjoy the thrift shop videos and seeing what Arne has done with the needlepoints gives them an updated new look! Well done video 🇨🇦❤️
I’m sure it is the same there as it is here: elderly people moving into their children’s house or into a smaller space (like Carlos’ parents) have to “downsize” - get rid of the treasures they have spent a lifetime accumulating. Much is written about this, and the sad fact that their children are not interested in their parents’ stuff. So glad Arne is caring for these precious items. I have a few in my house as well!
❤This was a great episode. 👏🏽 Erik does a wonderful job following you on your excursions - I don’t get dizzy! Thank you for showing us what absolutely wonderful thrift shops abound in Norway!
I’m also a thrifter and have been collecting unfinished needle pieces for a while, I’d never thought about finishing them differently!! Thanks for the inspiration 😊❤
Some day, hopefully in the far off future, my kids will probably be donating my WIPs to a thrift shop somewhere. I hope somebody like Arne finds them and finishes them 😆
hi guys i love this shopping i have seen things that i missed the first time i love the shawl and the little stars that had lights in them well i will see you wed take care
Love watching your re-runs although I’ve been in that thrift store before ! They have some lovely crockery! Much more interesting than some here in the Uk! Thank you as always! Xx 💜🧶💜
Arne is always so earnest as he shops. He knows exactly where everything is, too! I wonder if one day they will move everything around and confuse him. Love these reruns!
Just wondering, I don’t think I have seen the progress on the horses, yet. Believe me, there’s no rush. Arne is phenomenal with finishing the tons of projects he does.
I just had an image of a viewer’s family member walking by as Carlos says, “Have you found the dead lady yet?” 😮😂 Carlos, do not give Arnie any ideas about hiding in the bushes waiting to see dead ladies dropping off embroidery. 😆😎❤
Love the thrift shop excursions….please do another new one !!!! I love to see and hear your passion ! Hope you solve the mystery of the unfinished embroidery ! Great finds . Can’t believe all that embroidery gorgeousness in one basket !! Marilyn D New Jersey USA
My mom has always been a thrift shopper, she loves them and I inherited my love of them from her. She would love to be in that shop that you showed in your video. Hopefully someday you can find out who the lady is and that she is not dead and you do meet her.
I’m not blind nor old (well, 67 lol) but I have offloaded needlepoint embroidery yarn that I no longer like or have an interest in completing. Hope it brings someone else joy.
I love watching the thrift store videos you two do because it always gives me ideas for my own thrift shopping. I need to look for embroidery things now. 😊
How amazing! I watched this whole episode and thoroughly enjoyed it without realizing I had seen it before! I love seeing you thrift shopping and only wish I had such a good shop near me.
I love your finished pillows. It is so good of you tobuy and embroider those unfinished embroidery. Maybe the lady follow you from above, and apploud you. I do that aploud you both I meen. Thankyou for the rerun.
You guys, I love this episode, twice over, and guess what? Ive got my own blind/dead lady thrift shop! Not only have I found unfinished works, I recently found a great craft bag with two gorgeous unfinished needlepoints. Unfortunately one did not have the additional background yarn, but when I rewatched this episode I heard Arne say he was unpicking the background on his so maybe I can do that also because I do not believe I can match the original yarn. THANK YOU and I LOVE your thrift shop episodes.
There are many people who put unfinished projects etc in the local thrift store… maybe they have passed or just got bored with the project. Not necessarily old, blind or dead.
They may even be from different people. A shame you may never know the answer to the mystery. Ah well Arne you in the meantime will just have to enjoy finishing them , but keeping your arm safe in the meantime. X
Can y’all do a video about sweater ideas for teen boys? There is just no information out there and as I’ve never been a teen boy, I haven’t a clue what sweater to knit for my nephew. Please help!
I smiled from beginning to end. Carlos, was your decision to join the thrifting craze in progress during this visit to the shop? ? Good job getting Carlos to the finish line, Arne. Btw, I am not a thrifter. I thrift vicariously through you
I can feel Arnes happiness when he unwraps all the bags with embroideries in them…… 🤩
I love how Arne says, "This is going home." I think it's a great way to say you're buying something special.

I love watching you being so enthusiastic. And it makes me wonder if you ever sleep😮 These projects are fun, but also time-consuming. Enjoy!
What joy to give these lovely projects new life. Love the finished cushions.

That thrift shop looks like a lot if fun, so many treasures!
Carlos is obsessed with “The Blind/Dead Lady”…..loved the shoes Carlos!
That is awesome! Finishing UFO's from the thrift shop!
Love that scene with the lady and her cows.

What fun it is to go shopping with you both. Take us again soon ❤
I love the cats pillow. Maybe you could auction some of those to your members!
OMG so funny. Never saw the suitcase! Arne, I need to go thrift shopping with you. I could learn a few things.
I do love seeing what you buy in the thrift shop, I am always bringing stuff home myself!
Remember when Carlos didn't have an interest in thrift shops? My how times change! Great finds!
Hi guys. Good job Arne you have Carlos hooked on thrift shopping. ❤😁
Would love a trip to your thrift shop, its packed with what looks like very interesting items. Love the embroideries ❤
Arnes has an amazing eye for design
Arne is so like me. I "rescue" unfinished projects and extra yarns from thrift stores too
It's always fun to watch and enjoy your day to day adventures. From Washington state
The on-going saga continues! Yes, you need to do some 'recon' after hours to see if the blind - slash- dead lady comes and drops off more UFOs!1
So many amazing items. I would say the horses are rectangular.
I wish you would show how you create the backgrounds. They are the most beautiful pillows I have ever seen. Love them so much.
Love watching your re-runs although I’ve been in that thrift store before ! They have some lovely crockery! Much more interesting than some here in the Uk! Thank you as always! Xx 💜🧶💜
Love thrift shopping. Hard to find nice old textiles where I am. Great idea on repurposing them.
Arne is always so earnest as he shops. He knows exactly where everything is, too! I wonder if one day they will move everything around and confuse him. Love these reruns!
A very enjoyable episode! Talking about hiding to see if the lady comes reminded me of Arne having to hide when the mail came during covid. :)
😂 good memory!!
I wish my thrift shops were this great, I rarely find anything!!!
Just wondering, I don’t think I have seen the progress on the horses, yet.
Believe me, there’s no rush. Arne is phenomenal with finishing the tons of projects he does.
Show and tell on SAKFAB is always so much fun. Another enjoyable rerun. Thanks.
Loved seeing this again!

Nice trip to the thrift store.

That’s the joy of thrifting… sharing
❤️
I love watching the thrift store videos you two do because it always gives me ideas for my own thrift shopping. I need to look for embroidery things now. 😊
I would have a field day in the lovely thrift shop. Fun to see all your findings and what you will create with them.
Loved this episode

Oh I do enjoy a thrift shop!🇨🇦

Arne may have you color in his suitcase lol
Lucky you!
It’s a lovely big store…I’d be in there hours
There are many people who put unfinished projects etc in the local thrift store… maybe they have passed or just got bored with the project. Not necessarily old, blind or dead.
Hope you find the lady who left off the unfinished projects. ❤
I am enjoying watching your re-runs!
Enjoyed this♥️🎶
Great episode. Love what you do with them.
Have you done anything with the Dogmatix (Idefix) embroidery cloth yet? Would love to see what you make with it. I loved the cartoon Asterix.
Not yet no
I don’t think you guys heard me shouting, “Grab that spinning wheel for me!” 😂
I did too 😂
And me!
Yes.. i saw that too... and i wanted them to look at Teapots... xx
I saw that too!!!
Can Arne finish all my stuff?😁
If those items were all from the same person, she would certainly be the UFO Queen!
They may even be from different people. A shame you may never know the answer to the mystery. Ah well Arne you in the meantime will just have to enjoy finishing them , but keeping your arm safe in the meantime. X
I live the dishes
Arne, when you say about the rose pattern, are you saying eight-lea rose? I can never quite catch the word!
Probably like me, too many projects and not enough time!
Can y’all do a video about sweater ideas for teen boys? There is just no information out there and as I’ve never been a teen boy, I haven’t a clue what sweater to knit for my nephew. Please help!
Arne get all the needle work and buy the basket to put it in lol
❤❤❤
The unfinished projects may be from multiple sources. They might not be from just one person.
Now I want to see the lady too.
💛💛💛
Now we have ' PILLOW GATE' ??
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hahahaha, keep looking for the 'dead lady'! Such a fun episode. You shop so happily together 💞💞
Arne you are a joy in the thrift shop
I would like to thrift shop with you 💙💙
We need a craft supplies hoarding support group
As a glass collector I'd appreciate what you could thrift @ that shop that's Norwegian
What treasures you’ve found.
I wonder if you've found out who the blind or dead lady is? 🤔
This is a repeat!!!??
I am always curious about your thrifting finds and love your upgrades.
Great episode. Love thrift shopping!
Those was fun! Thanks 🎉
Honestly, I DO have better grammar than that -- I meant those WERE fun!! (So embarrassing . . . .)
I smiled from beginning to end. Carlos, was your decision to join the thrifting craze in progress during this visit to the shop? ? Good job getting Carlos to the finish line, Arne. Btw, I am not a thrifter. I thrift vicariously through you
