Who are we:
Scandinavians Arne Nerjordet and Carlos Zachrison are highly regarded designers, textile artists and authors. They are best known for their craft books and their original, colourful and visually striking designs. Their work is highly influenced by their Scandinavian background and their everyday life in rural Norway. They work under their artist name ARNE & CARLOS, which they established in 2002.

My mother called that first pancake the "blanket pancake" she would keep it on the top of the stack to keep the rest warm until we ate! I didn't realize how much I missed these videos, welcome back!!!

I’m American & I can’t hear any difference between “flour” and “flower” either. I think it’s only in the spelling.
When I was 10, I loved to bake cookies & made a huge mess in the kitchen. My mother later confessed that she couldn’t stand to watch, so she went into the living room & sat down. Carlos, maybe you should try that, then enjoy the final product.

It was always tradition growing up in Maine and being French Canadian, that our Mom made us crepes on a snow day. We would put a bit of butter and brown sugar then roll them us as you did. Loved seeing you both back in your warm kitchen, making us laugh ❤

So funny. My French Canadian Mom would make them for us for dinner if my Dad was working late and not joining us for dinner. We loved it.

For me it would be 15 stitches, at most. Arne is so much faster than I am.

Oh my old German Shepherd dog Simba always got the first pancake, sitting close to my feet. Watching me making the dough and baking the first one patiently waiting until it was done and he could eat it .

PS So you don’t have to write on your eggs- Hard boiled eggs will spin easily on the counter. Uncooked eggs won’t. They will wobble. 😊

I make the same way! And we call them Norwegian pancakes too, because Grandma and Grandpa came from Norway! Sometimes fresh blueberries and yoghurt, sometimes fresh lemon juice and sugar. Love ya! God bless!!

most people make the mistake by flipping too soon the first pancake. you'll have to wait till the butter in the pan is hot than do the dough in the pan and wait till the upperside is dry before you flip the pancake. 100% succesfully that way even the first one ;)

Hi. Your English is great. However pancake mix is called “batter”, rather than dough. Dough is used to refer to thicker mix (for bread, pastry etc).

I also spent a fair amount of time in the hospital recently. I was grateful that I could even be accepted during a pandemic. But, hey, I was out cold when I arrived, so I guess they took pity on me. Loved watching the Arne & Carlos Comedy Kitchen Hour on Sunday. Carlos looks like he gained a little weight when he was in the hospital which is very good. He looks healthy again!
