Lyrics:
I am
In trouble with myself again
I am
In trouble trouble trouble trouble
I am
In trouble with myself again
I am
In trouble trouble trouble
But I do believe
There's beauty within
That's why I can't stop
Picking my skin
Digging for a buried treasure
Digging for a way for me to
Say goodbye
To the stranger on the other side
Say hello
To the bliss of a
Disembodied mind
I am
In trouble with myself again
I am
In trouble trouble trouble trouble
I am
In trouble with myself again
I am
In trouble trouble trouble
But I do believe
There's a reason to live
That is why I'm gonna go
To sea in a sieve
Get me soaked and squeeze me through
Till there's nothing left to do but
Say goodbye
To the stranger on the other side
Say hello
To the bliss of a
Disembodied mind
I am
In trouble with myself again
I am
In trouble trouble trouble trouble
I am
In trouble with myself again
I am
In trouble trouble trouble
And I don’t believe
We could ever agree
That’s why I’ll do anything
To keep myself away from me
Maybe when I’m out of sight
I’ll see me in a better light
Eyes shut tight
Better get this right
Every word of the spell
To rip the soul from its shell
Say goodbye
To the stranger on the other side
Say hello
To the bliss of a
Disembodied mind
I am
in trouble with myself again
I am
in trouble trouble trouble trouble
I am
in trouble with myself again
I am
in trouble

I love how this guy has the uncanny ability to reach into the minds of his listeners and create scary accurate songs for their ocs. This is genuinely wild
Beholding Avatar

Teehee this fits my ocs well
YAY that makes me so happy
It fits my friend’s oc so perfectly lol, I sent it to her and she just ‘HOW ARE YOU ALWAYS ON POINT’

New Sparkbird headcannon where for every song they make there’s a chance they just decided to break into someone’s mind because WOW this song is exactly me! I’m actually surprised how I’ve never stumbled across a song about the mind vs its body until now. I love how unique and distinct your songs are!!!!!!!
Thank you so much!! This is so nice to hear! :D And I approve of that headcanon haha
Beholding Avatar behavior (positive) (Stephan if you see this, ❤❤❤❤❤❤)
When I'm listening to this my brain is like "that's what dysphoria felt like!!" (even though it's more like de-realisation or something.... but I associate the feeling of this song with dysphoria, idk why. Expectations maybe?) Very very fun to sing as always, cathartic!
I associate it with dysphoria too!! I’m glad it resonates, somehow it makes the tough feelings a little more fun haha
Yeah, being trans sucks sometimes, but the music that relates to it is awesome!
Plot twist: Sparkbird is a Beholding avatar and they use their powers to make alarmingly relatable music
OH MY GOD
Is that a Magnus Archives reffrence
@@obitosenju3768 YES
Brb writing a short story about sparkbird being a beholding avatar /j
This song makes me think about how I used to have a lot of derealization episodes where I teeter on the edge of being delusional and just trying to cope with reality. I get lost in my head and pretend that I'm my favorite fictional character, simply in the wrong reality, finding comfort that my "true home" is a place separate from my current reality. I'm trying to push myself away from those bad habits. I just wish I could be a robot sometimes lol
Aww, I can understand those feelings. I guess sometimes that’s what leads me to write, or to spend time in other people’s world through reading/listening/watching.
i love your music! it has such a distinct sound; it has different "sections" all within the same song, if that makes sense. it's really unique!
That does make sense! Thank you so much! :D
"But I do believe there is beauty within, that's why I can't stop picking my skin."
...
WOW
Great lyrics there.
Thank you!! I’d wanted to reference my skin picking struggle in a song for years
@@sparkbirdmusic Trauma makes good poetry, but I hope someday you can make peace with yourself. We love U 🫶
this song is insane... deeply haunting and powerfully evocative. who doesn't relate to having so much self loathing and existential dysphoria that you resort to conducting a dark ritual to separate your selves so that they can finally live freely from each other?
also - this visualizer is hypnotic!
YESSS you really get it, that makes my day :D
I’m actually foaming at the mouth for your music I love this
LOL I'm calling animal control! jk, I'm so grateful for this ❤️
I am officially addicted to your music! 💖 I found you through Tiktok or Instagram, I think, and I've been hooked ever since!
Awww!! That’s so exciting to me! Thank you for listening!
Alright, I've gotta write this down before I listen to it so much i get sick.
First of all, I absolutely love the instrumental in the background. It makes me think of flickering lights and buzzing electricity and antique steampunk machinery and dust floating in the air in midday. It makes listening to the song a very enjoyable experience for me, someone who usually cannot wait till the lyrics start. This song is light brown in color, if that makes sense, like sunlight shining upon a pair of deep brown eyes.
I've always seen my own mind as the ultimate comfort place and the one thing i truly own and I used to think that my ideal afterlife would be to be scattered around the universe or in people's heads in such a way that i could still think without being attached to a body to care for. This song came at the right time in my life, as I've recently realized living too much inside of my mind is harmful.
I've recently started feeling like my body is more of a home than a prison and an eternity of contemplation no longer sounded that appealing. I have grown attached to the ties I have with the physical world and to the feeling of feeling something.
But there's still this part of me that looks up at the sky and dreams of leaping among the stars like a hero at the end of the journey. My mind still has issues with being confined in this limited time and space. Your song gives it a voice in its conflict against my body.
Whoa, thank you for this incredibly thoughtful (and thought-provoking) comment. I can relate to so much of what you’re saying. And I love the idea of feeling like your body is more of a home than a prison-beautiful. I also appreciate your kind words about the song’s arrangement! Mathias (my percussionist) really did incredible work giving it this sort of ethereal mechanical vibe.
This is CRIMINALLY underrated
Awwww thank you for listening to it!
Dude, you are amazing!!! I’m like in love with this style of music and the lyrics!
Thank you!! This makes me smile so much :D
It reminds me of something you’d hear in a musical- your music seems to have a tendency to fit well with different mediums :D
Aw, thank you! That’s so nice :)
I love your music Sparkbird !
Awww! Thank you! :)
THIS IS SO SLAY THE PRINCESS I CANT EXPLAIN RAAAAAAAAH UR MUSIC IS SO GOOD
THANK YOU hahaha I love this comment :D
@@sparkbirdmusic
What a coincidence! I was looking for a song for an animatic of Slay the princess, and I found your song really fits and is beautiful. May I ask permission to use disembodied voice or November for the animatic?
@@U0_Ghost Yes, absolutely, you have my enthusiastic permission!
I was going to say it reminds me of Michael from the Magnus Archives - a show also starring Jonny Sims as the protagonist. Weird coincidence. Jonny-type-beat I guess
@@malaizze Magnus Archives is a great show, I love it! :D
How do so little people know of this song?? I happened to stumble upon it and it really stuck to me, reflecting the situation that i happened to find myself in. Thank you so so much for making this masterpiece!! 💜
Thank you so much! I’m glad it resonated

So um Jonah Magnus figuring out how to jump bodies maybe?
OH MY GOD
What does this mean, I am so confused
What does the song mean? (just confirming whether that's the question)
@@sparkbirdmusic yes, what does this song mean, I see so many others understand the song but I’m just confused
@@JVMonge I'm sure people have different interpretations! To me it's about feeling at odds with the person in the mirror, and wanting to exist without a body
@@sparkbirdmusic ah ok, thanks!
This song encapsulates my gender dysphoria so much and I love it
AAAAA
Aahhh thank you!!!
